"Ah, finally..."

Griselda says that as she looks at her slime coming out from Manterlant's corpse carrying Topologic Mana Denser.

Few minutes after Miika and I finally finished our the slimy treatment, Griselda used Piney to search for the Topologic Mana Denser inside that monster's stomach.

Both Miika and I are still lying on the ground out of exhaustion while Ean and Griselda are still standing up while looking at Piney.

Then the slime just wrap itself around the blue orb to absorb the remaining liquid from that monster's stomach. The blue orb is no longer pouring water out since it is not linked with leyline point.

"Now we just have to bring this back to Guild Master..."

*tic... tic...*

Right after Ean says that, droplets of water falls to my right cheek. It starts raining all of a sudden.

"Ah... it's rain."

Miika says that while looking at the dark sky.

"*sarcastic tone* Yeah, thank you for pointing that out. I certainly did not know that it was rain."

Miika looks at me with confused expression right after I say that. I just can't help but to get bewildered by his actions sometimes...

"!? Wait a minute... isn't this bad?"

I say that right after realizing something crucial.

Miika and Ean looks at me with confused expression. But Griselda seems to get what I meant. Then she starts talking.

"Yeah... with this rain, Fiend Kraken can regenerate itself even after it comes out from the lake."

Griselda says that with calm and grim tone.

"!?"

Ean looks surprised and finally realizes the possible severe situation she is currently in.

In order to save stamina, all four of us decides to ride on Piney as it turns into a big slime. All four us are trying to be careful with our balance while Piney slides towards the lake.

"Please tell us if the mana consumption is too much for you."

I say that to Griselda sitting on my left side.

"Don't worry, my Astral Body is level 4. This much is nothing!"

Griselda says that while smiling at me.

"The rain... is not stopping. What should we do...?"

Ean says that while looking at the dark sky with worried look.

Even after learning about magic from childhood, I never really find any magic formula related to weather control. I guess that kind of magic is either non-existent or rare enough that normal books won't show anything about it.

So it won't be surprising if anyone does not have magic to stop a rain.

"It will be alright."

Miika says that while staying calm unlike the nervous Ean. Ean looks at Miika with confused look. But I'm the one who reply to him.

"And why is that?"

Miika hears my question and then look towards me. He only replies with one phrase.

"Because Veylene Reverangel is there."

....

...

"Guild Master!"

Griselda shouts that right after we arrive at the lake.

"! Thank goodness..."

Guild Master says that right after he sees all of us on top of Piney in big slime form.

All of us go down from Piney and then Piney turns small.

Griselda walks to the Guild Master and hands over the Topologic Mana Denser to him.

As Guild Master takes the blue orb, he starts talking.

"Thank you."

Griselda then looks at the Fiend Kraken while starts talking to Guild Master.

"How's the situation?"

"It's as you can see. Fortunately, there is no causality. But at this rate, even our back up plan won't work against the Fiend Kraken."

The Guild Master replies with that while looking at the dark sky.

It is raining so I cover my head with my right hand even though I know that it won't do much.

The adventurers and Rimikia are still fighting but they are showing their exhaustion already. Even the number of potions provided by the goblin kids is about to run out.

Then Guild Master takes a last glance the several empty potion baskets and one last almost empty potion basket. Then he looks at the Fiend Kraken amd starts talking again.

"I guess this is as far as we can go huh..."

Right after he says that, Veylene is already standing behind him.

"Can you do it, Veylene Reverangel?"

Guild Master says that without looking back at her.

"I don't mind..."

Before she continues her sentences, she looks at some adventurers who just got captured by its tentacles.

"If you don't mind me blasting those fools away together with that squid."

Veylene replies with that and Guild Master sigh after hearing it.

"Fine... I'll do something about them first."

In an instant, Guild Master takes both of his axes from his belt and charges forward with a speed unbefitting of his size.

"!?"

Ean, Miika and I are surprised by Guild Master's fast movement.

Two black magic circles appear besides the axes that the Guild Master are carrying. Then a black aura quickly envelops both axes.

Guild Master jumps up quite high and stretches both of his hands backward. And then strongly throw it towards the Fiend Kraken.

That is... dark-based magic, Poltergeist. A magic that levitate the target objects.

The spinning axes continue flying without stopping due to Poltergeist's effect. It cut off two tentacles that captured two adventurers.

"!"

Not missing the chance, Rimikia who is standing on the ground casts Binding Rope. Two brown magic circle appear her hands (one each on hand). Two ropes come out and catch the adventurers before pulling them into her side. At the same time, Guild Master lands on the ground.

The spinning axes return to Guild Master's side after cutting few tentacles. But Fiend Kraken quickly regenerates by absorbing water from rain and the lake.

By the time Guild Master gets his axes back, the Fiend Kraken already fully recovers.

As I observe Fiend Kraken's regeneration, I notice that it's a water-based magic called Moisture Channel Restoration.

I can probably use my Overtake to manipulate it, but this is my first time seeing a magic that uses liquid instead of mana to recover itself. Unlike Manterlant's Regeneration whom I am already familiar with, I need to know more about its magic formula so that I can alter or dispel it.

As I think that, Veylene walks casually towards Fiend Kraken while other adventurers already try to stay away from it.

Fiend Kraken notices Veylene's presence and shoots a sharp water blast towards her.

*GUUUUSH!!!*

Veylene takes a direct hit from that water blast.

"Miss Veylene!?"

Ean shouts that with worried look.

"It's alright."

Griselda immediately reply to Ean with that statement.

As the water blast attack stops, it reveals that Veylene is unscathed from that attack. Her clothes are a bit damaged but her black armor is unscathed.

"Seriously? You guys have trouble defeating a monster at this level?"

Veylene directs the question towards the adventurers. But most of them are so surprised that they can't answer her question.

Fiend Kraken then uses its tentacles to try and bind Veylene.

Veylene stands firm while many big tentacles starts covering her whole body that she can't be seen anymore.

"Well, it's fine anyway."

Veylene's voice can be heard from inside the lumps of giant tentacles.

*ZRAAAAAAASH!*

With both hands, Veylene tears apart many Fiend Kraken's tentacles at once.

Surprised by what Veylene did, Fiend Kraken quickly retracts all its tentacles.

"I am the generous Lord and Savior after all. So I'll show all of you..."

Before continue talking, Veylene takes her sheathed sword out of her belt.

"What true strength... LOOKS LIKE!"

With that shout, Veylene starts running towards Fiend Kraken. Fiend Kraken uses its tentacles again to intercept her.

Veylene jumps and runs on those tentacles towards Fiend Kraken.

*tap!*

However, before she reaches Fiend Kraken's main body, she jumps upwards.

*tap!*

And she steps on air to do another jump.

"!"

All people except Rimikia are surprised when she did that. I mean... I didn't see any mana on her...

She repeatedly uses the same jump technique until I can't see her in the sky anymore.

Ten seconds after that, the sky suddenly clears as Veylene can be seen jumping downwards from the sky. She is about to smack the Fiend Kraken using her sheathed sword.

"!?"

Realizing something, I immediately uses both hands to grab Miika's right shoulder and Ean's left shoulder and force them to crouch together with myself.

"Eh?"

"!?"

Ean just realizes that I grabs her shoulder while Miika is surprised by my action.

*BOOOOOOOM!!!*

Veylene's fall from the sky destroy Fiend Kraken into pieces. The impact makes a water pillar out from the edge of the lake.

I brace myself from the incoming wind impact.

"Piney!"

However, Griselda orders Piney to become a large slime to protect three of us together with herself.

Apparently, Guild Master also manages to protect Rimikia from the wind impact using his large body.

After the water pillar disperses, everyone can see Veylene standing on top of Fiend Kraken's destroyed corpse. Her body is wet not only from water but also from the blue blood of Fiend Kraken.

She literally just kill it with one strike without giving it the chance to regenerate...

Veylene's ponytail hair gets ruffled a bit from the impact so she uses her right hand to fix it in one swipe.

"HAH. EASY."

She says that while swiping her wet hair to behind.

Everyone is speechless after her display of strength. The first one to talk is Ean.

"W- what is that magic..."

"That is not magic. She did that using only brute force."

Griselda is the one who replies.

"B- brute force...?"

Ean sounds not convinced by what Griselda said. I can see why though.

"That power must be from magic... there is no way brute force can be that powerful..."

Ean continues her sentences by saying that.

"MAGIC?"

With strong and deep tone, Veylene looks at Ean while saying. Looks like she can hear us from that distance.

"!?"

Ean, Miika and Griselda are surprised when Veylene looks at our direction. Well, me too...

"FU** MAGIC. I AM ABOVE MAGIC. Remember that, green baldie."

Ean shivers upon being talked by Veylene. But Veylene quickly looks at the Guild Master as if she already losts interest with Ean.

"I won the bet, Guild Master."

"Take the reward from the guild."

Guild Master replies Veylene's statement with that. Then, Veylene takes her bag that is protected by the insta-magic and walks away from the lake.

"Alright guys! Don't go home yet! We still need to do clean up!"

Right after Veylene left, Guild Master starts ordering other adventurers.

Meanwhile, Ean still looks at the direction where Veylene left.

Noticing Ean's gaze, Griselda starts talking again.

"In the first place, she can't even use magic to begin with."

"Eh?"

Ean replies that while looking at Griselda. Griselda continues talking while looking at the direction where Veylene left.

"She is... Level 0 after all."

"!?"

Ean looks surprised after hearing that.

Level 0 huh... Indeed, I did not sense any Astral Body from her when I first met her. And yet she is the strongest adventurer in Liasr huh...

"Good work, all of you."

Guild Master suddenly starts talking to us.

Griselda then replies Guild Master with a smile.

"Good work to you too. Want us to help with the cleanup?"

"Nah, it's ok. More importantly, I want to know what happened to you guys."

Ean, Miika and I decide to tell the Guild Master about what we did.

Guild Master, Griselda and I are surprised by Ean's involvement in Sweet World.

Guild Master, Griselda, Ean and Miika are surprised hearing that I am the one who cut all Manterlant's vines before it attacked Ean and Miika.

Then Guild Master gives a rough summary to Ean about what Sweet World.

"I'm... really sorry!"

Ean says that while bowing towards Guild Master before continue talking again.

"To think that it was such a dangerous item..."

"Don't blame yourself. All four of you are still alive. That is all that matters. For now..."

Guild Master replies with that. He then touches Ean's left shoulder with his right hand before talking again.

"Also, as I stated before, I plan to support the goblin race. That's why... there is no need for you to carry all those burdens alone. Feel free to rely on me... and the others."

"!"

Ean is surprised by Guild Master's statement. She looks at Griselda, Miika and me as if she is seeking for confirmation.

Griselda and Miika nods while smiling. Well... I just nod but I'm sure Ean can understand my answer.

"..."

Ean becomes silent and holds back her tears. She wipes her tears with her right arm before looking at Guild Master again.

"YES!"

She says that as the answer to Guild Master's statement. That smile of hers is probably the brightest smile I have ever seen from her.

It is the brightest smile because the sunlight happens to shine on her face at the most convenient timing.
