《Eclipse Online》Chapter 2

I walked through my front door and heard my mom come around the corner to greet me probably.
"Hey Sebastian, did you enjoy your time getting that game console?" My mother asked
"Yes mom, I got it" I responded and started going up the stairs "I'll talk to you later mom."
I entered my room and quickly started setting up the game console alongside before laying down on my bed with the helmet one. I have been waiting for this moment a little over two years since it was first announced, now that I was here, I was starting to get nervous. Taking a deep gulp I air, I clicked the button that initiated the full dive system. A flash of white and I was suddenly surrounded in a big white room. Before I stood a woman with golden hair that went down her back, green eyes, and perfect pale skin without a single blemish to it.
"Welcome Traveler, my name is Ariel, and this is the character creation room. I will be here to assist you in any way you need duri..." Ariel stopped and gave me a weird look as she noticed me walking around her and inspecting her.
"Oh man, they went over the top with the design. I wonder how long they took working on her" I softly spoke to myself
"Traveler, may I suggest that we get star...AHH!" Ariel yelp at me suddenly poking her
"So soft and squishy," I said to myself
"Traveler, please refrain from getting distracted," she said with her face getting red
letting out a sigh, I back away from Ariel and focused on what she was saying.
"As I was previously saying, this is the character creation room. Please first select a name for your character" She said

After a few moment thinkings went ahead, I thought of the perfect name "Zero"
"Name accepted. Now we will move on to the next phase" Ariel said, "Please pick a race."
"Human" I instantly said
"Next is the character design."
A replica of what I looked with outside the game. Typically I would have been okay with it and just gone with the short curly black hair, brown eyes, and tan skin look but decided against it. I went ahead and chose to change my hair color to white and give myself gray eyes alongside removing any blemish on my face. I made my hair long enough that it could be tied in a ponytail, but still let a few strands fall in front of my face. Next, I moved one to the body and removed the bit of stomach fat that I had replaced it with six-packs, since this is a game let me dream, I also tone my arms a bit more but did not make myself bulky like other people tend to do. I kept the skin color the same and then went ahead and told Ariel that I was done. I felt something shift inside me and notice my hair was getting longer meaning my body changed to fit what I had made.
"Next stop will be a small tutorial area so you can get used to the game mechanics, but first please view your status screen by saying or thinking the word status" Ariel explain
Following what she said "Status."
Status Window
Name Zero Level 1 Gender Male Class - Race Human Profession - Titles - Health 100/100 Health Regen 5/min Mana 50/50 Mana Regen 5/min Stamina 100/100 Stamina Regen 10/min --- Strength 10 Vitality 10 Agility 15 Dexterity 16 Intelligence 6 Wisdom 5 Luck 9
I studied my status and taking note of my high agility and dexterity. With a satisfying nod, I closed the window and moved on to the next area.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]
