《This World Really Knows How To Hit A Nerve》Chapter 5: Nothing Could Be Done Now

He walked back and forth, sat down, stood up repeatedly for sometime. This was indeed a very disturbing experience He kept telling himself that he cannot be a murderer for few a hours. Tears from his eyes rolled down continuously while his crying face came and went periodically.
He sat below a tree and decided to calm his breathing and analyse the situation.
Ohk Takeshi, nothing could be done now. They are dead, you killed them, whether you were aware of what you were doing or not, they are not going to come back. It is what it is. Something needs to be done now.
He had done unspeakable but he didn't wanted to go to jail. He came up with a resolution.
He will try to find families of victims and if there are people who were dependent on them. He would try taking care of them or provide financial help anonymously. For now, he needs to hide the evidence.
He decided to check their bags and bodies again for some unique items which he could use to determine who they are and track down their families. He found some papers, a map and jewellery. He stored them in a backpack he pulled out. Then he summoned a shovel As soon as he summoned it he fell to the ground, his vision blurred and there was extreme weakness in his body. After couple of minutes he was able to collect himself and stand up again.
Then he started to dig. He found it very easy to dig. After digging a deep rectangular grave he realised he wasn't really feeling tired. He then held his breath and picked up girl's body. After placing the girls body he placed their bags there, and then he had to place the boy who's head was open. It was even more difficult to look since he knew he caused this to a real person. When he reached closer to the boy he had a feeling he would puke alongside feeling of his face bursting into tears. He wanted to cry so hard. His face started to twitch as if he would cry as he came closer. He looked upwards while he picked up the boy in his arms. He placed the boy beside the girl. He then picked up spilled brain of the boy and mud soaked with blood with the shovel and put it into the grave.
After filling the grave with mud he noticed his clothes were soaked in blood. He took them off and tried putting them back in the console. But nothing happened. The console didn't accepted the clothes. To put back items he just needed to put it across the holographic screen who's size could be adjusted. But nothing happened when he put clothes across the screen.
He tried again and again while crying continuously hoping they would go in if he tried enough times. He then threw his blazer on the ground, placed his palm on his face sat down and finally cried properly for couple of minutes.
He then tried calming down by breathing slowly. He thought of an explanation. This console was just for testing a game under development. It only knew of items that were in it's inventory list. Console won't accept an item it is not programmed to accept. In actual game players would use console which will have functionality of adding most of the items they wish to add. But this one wasn't meant to accept any foreign items. Even if items came from console, if they were to be changed beyond recognition, console won't accept them. For example this console is not going to put a gun broken into two pieces back in the inventory. It doesn't know what it is. The console was a dumb program, it didn't had an AI to recognise that this is just a gun from inventory, its just in two pieces now. Console will just say no to an item like this.

The clothes were soaked in blood and console didn't recognise having clothes with red patches in it's inventory so it didn't responded. If he were to wash the clothes, the console would probably accept it.
He decided to just pull new clothes from the console and immediately fell after pulling them out. It took him half an hour to come back to his senses. He then got up, wore the new clothes, stuffed the stained ones in his backpack, put the shovel in the console which thankfully accepted it back. Then he walked quickly towards the inn.
He closed room's door. Then he took out contents of his bag. He threw the blood soaked clothes under his bed immediately. Other than that, he collected papers and some small items. He thought the papers should be enough to identify them and their family members. A unique watch caught his eye, it was like an hourglass embedded in it. Like some smart watch with an hourglass as screen saver. He also collected a bracelet from the girl. He thought of giving back these items to their family members and take care of people dependant on them.
He still had the money he stole from them. He thought that nothing can be done about this. He will survive initially with this money, make more and try making amends for his actions.
He then went down and tried to act like he needed a bath. He acted as if he was pouring down water using a beer glass. The girl immediately stood up and went away. I kept sitting for some time, she came back and showed me towards a private bathtub with hot water. For some reason this girl connected with him a lot. Or maybe it was because of the gold coin he gave her. He also had to find out the value of money. He thought he was definitely paying extra. Since he had given these guys 2 gold coins, he get all the meals, the girl herself comes up to his room for all three meals and they don't seem to ask for more money, that meant he had already overpaid them.
After eating food which was delivered by the girl, he continued to devise a plan of action. First, he needed to leave this village immediately. He had a map now. He opened the map, it had a drawing of a landmass with several dots scattered around labelled with a bunch of letters he had never seen before.
There was also a very grave problem of not knowing the language and getting swindled. But he had to prioritise certain tasks first. First was not going to jail, or getting a death sentence. He could worry about not knowing language, not having any work, living homeless, getting taken advantage of after first task is complete.
He thought that a city might be a good option for finding work, surviving in case one become homeless since cities have enough rich folks who do charity all the time and he could hide among the crowd. He could wear the red crystal necklace to hide for sometime. He suspected his hair and eyes were probably the reason why people noticed him, he had seen no one with such body features in this village yet.

For that he needed to identify which one of the dots was a populated city, and then convey to a carriage to take him there. He could go there by pulling out a dirt bike, but now he was hesitant. Also this map wasn't very detailed and he didn't trusted himself that much with navigation. He noticed every time he pulls out any item, he experiences fainting. So he instead wanted to take a carriage.
He thought that this inn probably is visited by a lot of travellers. It might be possible that this inn could set him up for the journey. Maybe that girl could understand where he wanted to go and help him to find a carriage.
He was tired so he decided to sleep for now.
Next morning he woke up because someone was knocking on the door very violently. He just sat there thinking of all the things that could go wrong. Then he heard a familiar voice, it was the girl's, he opened the quickly door. She was carrying breakfast. He took the breakfast and ate it.
He then decided to see if he is able to communicate where he wanted to go and if she could hire a carriage for him.
He went downstairs with the map, sat and looked around. There were some people there chatting who noticed him then looked away. He saw the girl and gestured her to come here and sit. He opened the rolled map on the table and acted if he was writing something on paper while he switched looking at the girl and the map again and again. She went back and got him a fountain pen kept on the desk and some pages from the back of the register.
He took it and drew stick figures on the register paper. At one place he drew a group of three people, at other he drew ten. There was a cross next to the group of three, and a tick mark next to the group of ten. Then he pointed to the dots in the map and then drew a question mark on the sheet.
She pointed out a dot near the river. That was it. This girl really understood him. He thought a populated city or maybe even a town must be near a river.
He then drew more stick figures, a weird looking horse and a carriage, and drew a question mark. She then took the pen from him and drew long lines, sections, in which she drew a sun with rays and next a crescent moon and she drew them continuously in those sections. Then she drew a question mark which looked like an s with a dot below it. One can see similarity between it and english language question mark.
He took the pen and thought for a while. He shouldn't wait here even for a second. He doesn't have to say goodbye to anyone. He has a backpack ready with papers and their items, he is wearing clothes, he has gold for now, he drew a tick mark above the first section.
She then stood up, bowed and went outside of the inn. She came back with a man. She showed two fingers. Takeshi understood that the journey would cost him 2 gold coins. He went upstairs and put the map, 90 gold coins, and other items in his backpack. He put rest of the gold coins in his pocket, grabbed the necklace and came back to give two gold coins. After receiving gold coins the guy smiled, gesturing to follow him.
The girl went somewhere in the inner area of the inn. He wanted to say goodbye but couldn't. Many carriages were standing in front of the gates. The guy pointed towards one carriage. Takeshi threw his backpack in, it was a US Military ACU Molle II Large RuckSack. As he climbed in the carriage, he saw that there were already people holding on to their luggage. The carriage was full. These people were too leaving the village.
After sitting in there for an hour a person came in and gave them something like a water pouch. We took it in turn and drank from it. He had many pouches. After everyone in the carriage quenched their thirst he said something to everyone and climbed out.
The carriage suddenly began to move, I looked outside and saw 2 more carriages, and there was also one in front of them. These guys were probably in transportation business. Each carriage was being pulled by two horses. The journey might take few days so hopefully they prepared food, since they were pulling so many people. Otherwise he had to be swindled here too. When carriages took breaks, he could go into the forest to hunt his food.
He hoped he could find work in the city or the town or wherever he was going. He decided to use the necklace after he reaches there. People won't notice him in those populated places that much.
