《Forbidden Book》Battle on the Rooftop

Sato walked through the Kingdom with Ai, moving his head from left to right, shocked at how much it has changed. Men, women, and children alike were being put through hard labor even after the sun set. "What's happened here, Ai?" Sato asks turning his head away no longer able to bear watching the sight.
"One word." Ai held up her index finger. "Kaoru."
Sato grunts at this. "I can't believe this guy. This Kaoru guy is a freaking tyrant."
Ai nodded, "I know. And that's why we have to stop him."
"Right." Sato agreed. Let's get inside that building."
Sato and Ai stopped when they came across Ren. Ren looks up from the golden sculpture he and some other children were working on. "Oh Ai, Sato. Hello." The Wolf Bakemono tried to smile.
"Ren." Sato looked down at his dirty face and worn down clothes. He had slimmed significantly since the last time, he saw him. "Has Kaoru done this to you?"
Ren was silent for a moment but then he whispered. "Kaoru hasn't done this directly. But it is his fault."
Sato clenched his fist. "I thought so. Come on Ai! Let's go!
At the top of the large building, Kaoru sat in an office. Nori was leaning against the wall next to the door. Kaoru took a sip of his coffee. "Nori, turn on the security camera monitors please."
Nori was leaning against the wall next to the door. "Yes, Mr. Kaoru." Nori flipped a switch next to him and a set of monitors sprung down from the ceiling. One showed the center of Sihalia. Other showed local places and houses.
The one that caught Kaoru's eyes was the monitor which showed everything in front of Kaoru's building. Sato and Ai ran up to it. "Those two. Shouldn't be here." Kaoru scowled. "Jiro and I assumed Ai was dead. And the boy, Sato. He shouldn't even remember anything about Bakemono's. Nori! Deal with the pests!"
Nori sighs, "Yes, as you wish, Mr. Kaoru."
Nori begins to open the door, as Kaoru speaks again. "And just remember this, Nori. I am the only thing which is keeping you from the dungeon where you belong. I'd suggest you do as I say without attitude and be a good advisor." The dark haired man sets his cup on his desk. "Are we clear?"
"Yes sir." Nori answers without turning to face Kaoru as he walks out the door.

"Damn it!" Sato shouts. How do we even get in if it's locked?"
Ai pats his shoulder, "Calm down Sato. People are staring."
"I don't care! I'm breaking in!" Sato rolls up his sleeves as he backs away from the door. He charges through right as the door opens landing at Nori's feet."
Nori picks the teenager up by his black jacket. "And just what are you doing exactly?"
Sato laughed awkwardly, "Breaking in. Hey, um Nori. Can you put me down?"
"Sure." Nori answers as he grabs Ai by her long white hair. "I'll put you both down. In the dungeon."
"Nori." Sato frowned. "Why are you doing this?"
"Simple. I'm following my orders from Kaoru." Nori says throwing the two in the prison. "I am his advisor after all."
Sato grabs the bars of the cage. "Nori! Why are you helping Kaoru?! What can you gain from it?"
Nori walked away silently ignoring Sato's question. He spoke to himself in his mind. "In time. All in time."
A hand rested upon Sato's shoulder as he grunted. "Sato, yelling won't do any good." A familiar voice spoke.
Sato looked up recognizing who the voice belonged to. "Hibiki."
Hibiki smiled. "Sato, Kaoru must be taken down. He has six of his clones stretched out all over Bakemonia. His clones aren't as strong as he is though. So once you find the real one, make sure he's dead. Also get back the stolen Seven Sacred Keys; they don't belong with someone like Kaoru."
Sato nodded, "Yeah, sure. I'll go save the world for you a second time. Not like I have anything betters to do."
"Sato." Hikari spoke up. "This is serious business. It's no time for jokes."
"Yeah, your right. Don't you worry your pretty little heads off. I'll kick this Kaoru guy's ass! And serve it to him for dinner!"
Hikaru sighed, "Please at least try to grow up while you do so." The woman clasped her hands together as green energy began to surround them. The bars in the cage started to broke off. Lights started flashing as an alarm went off. "Hurry, run!"
Sato and Ai ran into an elevator where Nori was in as well. "Hello." Nori said plainly.
"What's up." Sato waved. The elevator opened and Sato and Ai ran out into Kaoru's office. His desk was empty. "Damn it! Where is he?"

"Sato! Over there!" Ai pointed to a trail of spilled coffee which lead to an open window.
The two jumped out the window and ended up on a ledge. Kaoru was climbing up the building to the roof. "He's getting away!" Sato shouted. "I'm going up." Sato began climbing up the building as well. He struggled the higher he went as the wind started to get fiercer.
When Sato finally arrived at the top, Ai was already standing on the building. "Hey, slowpoke." The Magic Bakemono smiled.
"Ai? How'd young et up here so fast?" Sato questioned her.
"Ai turned around showing off her fluffy white angel wings. "I have wings, remember?"
Sato face planted onto the building. "Lucky you. I just had to climbs up two-hundred feet."
Both of them noticing Kaoru about to make an exit. "I got it. You stay behind and back me up." Sato told Ai as he jumped onto the roof.
Kaoru was about to make a run for it when Sato appeared in front of him kicking him to the side. "I don't think so."
Kaoru laughed, "So, I guess I'm gonna have to fight you after all. I'm just a clone, so I was hoping to make a clean getaway. But if I have to kill a few people, I'm glad one of them will be you."
Sato expected Kaoru to run towards him, so he took defensive position. But instead of charging for Sato, Kaoru remained in his position and simply took out a golden key. "I open my contract with the Spirit of Wind." As he says these words a powerful unnatural wind begins to form around Kaoru.
"What the hell?!" Sato yells as he covers his face form the wind with his arms.
Ai puts up a green shield around Sato. "He using the Sacred Key of Wind!"
Sato loses his ground as the wind gets stronger knocking him off his feet, sending him tumbling to the other side of the roof.
"Sato!" AI shouted.
Kaoru laughed evil. "Sometimes shield don't always work. Sometimes, your opponent is just too powerful. Like right now!" Kaoru glides across the wind next to Sato. He kicks the teen as he rolls over to the edge. "Just one more little push. And you'll be finished."
"As..if!" Sato wraps his legs around Kaoru's throwing him off the roof. Sato backflips gain some distance from the edge as Kaoru levitates with the power of the wind.
"Damn. I guess this is going to be harder than I thought." The spiky black haired man said as he split himself into multiples. "But it shouldn't be too difficult."
"How many Kaoru's does it take to fix a light bulb? The same amount it takes to beat me. It's never enough!" Sato stuck out his tongue and gave a thumbs down gesture to Kaoru.
All of the Kaoru's released powerful blasts of winds, Sato ducked underneath the attacks and rolled over to one of the Kaoru's. He quickly fired a punch at him, sending the clone flying off of the rooftop.
Another clone came with wind surrounding its fist as Sato quickly bent his knees and extended his legs striking a powerful kick to the Kaoru. The clone slid across the roof until it fell off. "Come and get me!" Sato tested them.
All of the clones charged for Sato. Sato closed his eyes and inhaled deeply before sprinting into the air, enabling him to avoid all of their attacks. As he landed he jumped kicked a good handful of the clones.
The rest of them threw punches at Sato. As he deflected them by using his arms and legs. The final clone rushed towards Sato form the back, right before he could attack, Sato swung his fist backwards, striking the clone's face. He shot out his leg knocking the him off the roof.
"Well, well." The Kaoru in possession of the Sacred Key clapped. You're better than I thought you would be."
Sato smirked, "Of course I am. Now can we hurry this up." The purple haired teen rubbed his stomach as it growled. "I'm getting really hungry."
Ai's sweat dropped. "How can he think about food at a time like this?"
"With pleasure!" Kaoru shouted. A barely visible blade of wind formed in his hands. "I'll make it quick and painful!" Kaoru swung the blade not even close to Sato. However the attack struck by sending an blast of wind through Sato.
Sato cried out in agony from the pain as the wind continued to pierce through his body until he fell flat.
"Sato, no!" Ai screamed in horror as she watched her friend's blood spill onto the floor.
Kaoru turned his head to face Ai. "You're next girly."

He remembered being a better person, in another life. That was before he was reborn into a royal family of unparalleled power, and into a world that wouldn't feel out of place in a fantasy series. Seriously. There was magic and everything, it was totally whack. Self-Insert with angst, mental issues, and no knowledge of Avatar: The Last Airbender. This story doesn't belong to me.
