Kuro: We've done it, Shiro! The insect badge is ours!
Kuro said as he held his badge in the air, admiring it — his Dewott sat right beside him, balling his fist as he nodded at Kuro's statement. Something seems different about Kuro to Shiro, and it's different in a very good way, she likes this new dose of confidence he has. His belief in himself is attractive to Shiro. All of them sat underneath the tree at Castelia city, where the city was said to have originated from. Kuro figured it had been a while since he had a new addition to his team, he's looking for a Pokemon to add that he will hopefully be able to keep. Shiro wrapped her arm around Kuro's, laying her head on his shoulder as they sat in silence — feeling the breeze blow them by as Kuro's Dewott rested his head on Kuro's other shoulder, and Shiro's Eevee laid in her lap, it was a nice little break from all the battling and madness they have been dealing with as of late. As Shiro began to doze off to sleep, Kuro could hear slight growls coming from the grass that surrounded them. He didn't want to move because he didn't want to wake up Shiro, but the growls kind of scared him. He nudged the shoulder Dewott rested on, as Dewott looked up at his trainer confused.
Kuro: Hey...do you hear that?
Dewott tilted his head in confusion, as he looked ahead at the grass field and heard more rustling. Dewott would walk over to the grass to check out what it is, only to scream in fear! Dewott would try to run back to Kuro, but something dragged it across the ground by biting its leg! Kuro jumped at the sight of that, as he would lightly grab Shiro's head and rest it on his bag as he chased after his Dewott. It didn't take long for him to catch up, as they didn't make it very far...the Pokemon biting on his Pokemon's foot was no other than a Growlithe. Dewott kept screaming until Kuro placed his head on Dewott's head.

Kuro: Dewott, use water gun straight ahead.
Dewott would do as he was told, as he would fire a beam right at the Growlithe — the grip Growlithe had on Dewott's foot loosed as Growlithe was sent flying back, but before Growlithe could get too far Kuro tossed a Pokeball at it!

Kuro and Dewott would then go back to Shiro, Kuro tapped her shoulder over and over before she started to wake up
Shiro: Hmm...Daddy?
Kuro: No, it's Kuro!
Shiro Ah it is Da...What is it Kuro?
Kuro: I caught a Pokemon, we can get out of here now.
Shiro: O...can I sleep a little longer...just five more minutes?
Kuro: Oh yeah, that's fine with me.
Shiro: Thank yooou
Shiro smiles before she collapses into Kuro's arms, as he lays there with her and lets her get the sleep that she deserves.
Route 4
After Shiro caught up on her rest, she and Kuro and Dewott were immediately bombarded with the harshness of the sandstorm in Route 4, as it made it hard to navigate through the route! Shiro held onto Kuro as the two tried to manage their way through the route. As they traveled further and further down the route, they found these little homes, they looked to be the ruins of homes from long ago. Left with not many options, the two walked inside one of the leftover homes from ancient times.
Shiro: Jeez...this sandstorm is unforgiving!
Kuro: You're right..do you think it will die down anytime soon?
Shiro: I hope so...
As the two sat down in the little home they invaded, they heard knocking on the door. Not strong, or noticeable, but very light. Kuro would get up to check what's waiting for them at the door and when he opened it there was nothing there! There was nothing until he looked down to see who knocked, and to his surprise, it was no person — but it was a Pokemon, a Scraggy! Scraggy held up its pants as it looked at Kuro with blank eyes, and Kuro did the same. The two stared at each other for about a minute or two before Kuro decided to say something.

Kuro: Um...can I help you?
Scraggy: Scrag.
Scraggy spoke, as he signaled for Kuro to move away with his hand, and Kuro did what Scraggy wanted and walked out of the way so that Scraggy could get inside. Once Scraggy got within the home, it let out a cry as Scraggy charged its head straight towards Shiro, as Scraggy's headbutt knocked Shiro down!
Kuro: Hey, what's up with you!? Growlithe, Ember!
Kuro sent out his Growlithe, as the Growlithe came out and immediately set ablaze to Scraggy once it set its eyes on it
Shiro: This little...Come out, Eevee!
Shiro sent out her Eevee. Eevee growled at Scraggy as Scraggy aimed to give it a nice and strong headbutt. Eevee hopped out of the way and tackled Scraggy. Dewott joined in and stepped on Scraggy’s chest, spraying Scraggy with beams of water that caused Scraggy to scurry helplessly underneath Dewott’s foot.
Kuro: Alright, time to catch you!
Kuro would dig in his pocket for Pokeballs...but he couldn't pull any out.
Kuro: U-Um...I...I don't have any...
Kuro slowly slipped back to the old Kuro from Chapter 1! Shiro didn't want this, so she dug in her own bag and she tossed a Pokeball at the Scraggy instead, as it went inside.

The Perks of Immortality
This story will no longer be updated. After living decades and dying hundreds of times, Kegan has learned that he has finally passed some test that the cruel spirit had given him. Now, Kegan has the ability to gain “perks” that can make his life much easier. He is looking forward to finally having an easy life with the new perks he has earned. Rules to keep me honest for the perk system: Spoiler: Spoiler 1. The purpose of perks is to help the MC live longer and do new things each life. 2. The perks can be unlocked by getting hurt or killed. 3. The perks can be unlocked by putting in a lot of effort that isn’t easily duplicated in a new life. 4. Perks are generally beneficial enhancements to the MC’s body. 5. Perk costs can be lowered with more impressive achievements to unlock them. 6. Perk costs can be lowered by repeated death or injury from something the perk protects against. 7. Perk costs are increased for quality of life improvements that don’t benefit survival. I want to avoid one of the pitfalls I see for other LitRPG stories where the game elements barely relate to the story, or offer very little information. If people are skipping over and not reading the perks then I'm doing things wrong. So I promise to try and make the perks interesting, sometimes humorous, informative, and relevant to the story.Cover art by http://dertypaws.com/

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

Transition and Restart
If you were transported from this world to another almost identical. If you were transported from your life to your teenage self.If you had to restart your life again.Would you, or would you cling to your memories? This is a Japanese manga/anime -style slice of life high school romance with a splash of sci-fi. Ensemble cast, so if you only want one main character this is not for you. It's also a repost of books I already published here. It's cleaned up, and it's published the way I meant it to be read. For those reasons the very concept of a release schedule lacks meaning. Chapters are either miniscule or humungous.
