The Terra formed on the edges of the ash lands, their flames giving life to the poor soil around them. As their earthly brown flames burned the souls around them rose and surrounded the flames.
It took quite some time before the Terra's bodies completely formed, their size dwarfing the area around them, the smallest of the bunch reaching a height of 15 meters. Their first born reaching a staggering 30 meters, all over her shoulders and head green flora grew, acting as hair for the terra it grew until it reached her back.
All around them the earth of the ash lands sprung to life in the presence of their, even the beasts around them started to change from the presence of the terra.
Just waking up from their slumber they looked around the ash lands groggily. During their slumber the lands around them changed to suit their needs, the land of ash now a peaceful green forest, a stark contrast to the gray beyond the forest.
*Yawn*
As the leader of their group Gaia looked around at her kind. She knew she could not stay in these lands as they could not suit her race.
She bore into the black dirt of the forest until she reached a certain point, at the end of her cave like tonnel a portal into a world where her kind can shape it to their wills welcomed them.
As they formed there world, one full of mountains and hills, rivers cutting through the valleys in between the mountains, and lush forests full of beats covering the land, she knew she was different.
As her kin struggled to help shape their world she could easily shape the earth around them to form wonders. One of her masterpieces, a mountain the broke through the white clouds above them, a certain type of energy seemed to form all around the mountain giving rise to a mysterious fog.

Her connection to the earth was far deeper, on a level hard to understand unless they themselves felt it. In her mind knowledge of what she was sprung forth, she was a representation of the very type of soul flame that burned within her. She was a divine, a being that could control the power of their element.

It's 2063, and the town along with much of the nation are in disarray. The decay started years before the Great Event. Our town still had hope thanks to the five families, who'd created a blockchain based water distribution system for the locals, a valuable secret hidden from the Global Water Commission and their network of mercenaries. Earlier in the mid-2040's, right after the state secessions of Idaho, Montana, and Texas, the Global Council of Water Commissioners made their deals and moved into towns throughout the country. They called it "the integration." The Commission and their contractors integrated with municipal water departments, using their organized network to invade like parasites on local services. It all coincided with the 29th Amendment to the United States Constitution, later referred to as the Regional Trident Plan. Nova is a story about survival, power structures, the turning of relationships, and the networking between people and the systems to which they belong. It’s about A.I. blockchain possibility, and its potential for human betterment versus our detriment. It’s about the question of whether or not we need to be saved from ourselves, and by who or what? The Great Event at the end of the first chapter might just be what actually saves us. The epilogue will take place in 2517. This scene is fully sketched and the full arc of the novel is set. I expect to finish Nova Interitus by summer of 2023. This is realist hard-sci-fi dystopian fiction. I hope you find Nova to be a challenging and consuming story. This is not something I planned to write. It all came to me in a dream and I haven't been able to stop writing it. Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace!
