Chapter 21: Two Devils
After hearing White Devils words, Eryx respectfully opened the door.
A man cloaked in black walked in.
Following behind him was a shorter figure. This person wore tight grey clothes. A balaclava mask covered the entirety of their face.
The cloaked figure glanced around the inn.
“Hehehehe.” A fiendish laughter was heard under the cloak.
The man pulled down the hoody covering his head, showing his appearance.
This man had long messy dark blue hair. He had long eyelashes and a thin eyebrow that were also blue. His two pupils were red. While it didn’t match the color of his hair, they still matched well with his appearance.
The blue haired man appeared just as handsome as White Devil. This man had a strange fiendish feel to him.
“Second, isn’t your bounty hunter association lacking? Look how sad this place is.” The blue haired man chuckled. His eyes were on Eryx and Old Man Black who were bowing by the side.
White Devil coldly eyed the blue haired man. “Hmph, you know my organisation is used to gather information for the sect, so why spout nonsense?”
The blue haired man walked up to a chair smiling faintly. “Honestly I feel bad for you second. If you put in more effort, this place could be greater. Why not make this building out of gold or something?”
The masked person followed behind, sitting by Blacky.
Blacky assumed this person was trying to be friendly. “Hello, I’m Blacky.”
Blacky reached out with his hand for a handshake.
“Hi.” The masked person replied faintly, ignoring Blacky’s hand.
Blacky frowned, this fellow sounded as if he didn’t go through puberty, Blacky wanted to bully him for ignoring his handshake. The situation unfortunately didn’t allow it.
The blue haired man chuckled by the side, his two red pupils stared at Blacky. “Is this the best your bounty hunter association can offer? How depressing!”
White Devil expressionlessly replied. “This fellow is far greater than the disciple you’re training. How can your disciple be sixteen and a sixth level spiritual warrior with their talent? I’m afraid with your guidance they’ll be stuck at the elemental warrior stage forever.”
The blue haired man continued to smile. “C’mon, you know I’m over a hundred fifty years younger than you right? I’ll one day raise a mortal king. And I’m certain my disciple is better than this fellow.. First of all, having you as a master is a curse.”

The blue haired man smirked as he looked at Blacky. “Hey, be careful of this guy.”
Blacky was unsure how to respond. At the moment he trusted White Devil far more than this fiendish fellow.
Suddenly the blue haired man shot up to his feet, slapping his forehead. “Ahhh! How could I forget my manners! Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Blue Devil rank four mortal king. Pleased to meet you. My disciple is called Draught.
Blue Devil smiled as he reached out his hand towards Blacky.
Blacky looked at the fiendish smile on Blue Devil’s face. He fearfully reached out his hand towards the other.
“Hmph.” White Devil snorted flicking his finger.
Blue Devil suddenly held on to his right hand, as if in pain. “Ow, ow, ow!”
White Devil eyed Blue Devil viciously. “Keep talking and I’ll rip your tongue out.”
Blue Devil frowned momentarily before smiling again. “Second why are you so uptight? I came to this place to help you, yet you threaten me instead! You know I’m good friends with the Sect Master right? I’ll complain about your treatment.”
White Devil stood up, speaking in his chilly tone “Friends? You’re simply from the same generation. With your talent you should at least be a late stage mortal king. However this is all you managed to achieve.”
Blue Devil continued to smile. “Haha, true, true! I should be the leader of our devil crew..”
White Devil replied. “Watch your mouth, it was me who saved you from the Sect Masters hands. Also don’t forget the reason we’re here is for the sect!”
Blue Devil began to impersonate White Devil’s tone. “Bla, bla, bla, I’m old and my brain is fried. Bla, bla, bla.”
Blacky smiled dumbly by the side.
White Devil turned to look at Blacky. “Do you find something funny?”
Blue Devil chuckled and continued to imitate White Devil. “Do you find something funny?”
White Devil suddenly smiled gently looking at Blue Devil.
Blue Devil revealed a weak smile. “Haha, the tournament begins soon! Can’t wait, let’s go!”
Blacky looked at Blue Devil with praise. He liked this devil more than the other.
White Devil nodded slightly. “Cover your face, you know how it is.”
..
White Devil led the group to the Tyrell district of Tifili Village. This was where the wealthy people of the village lived. It was the first time Blacky appeared here.

While there were dense crowds they all made way for their group. White Devil simply terrified all of the bystanders. Not many could recognize him, they only felt an innate fear.
After a few minutes of walking, Blacky noticed a huge oval arena in this distance.
“Honoured guests, allow me to lead you to our colosseum!” Suddenly a man wearing luxurious white robes approached their group.
Raven glanced at the man then said. “This is Jules Tyrell. He is one of the five elemental warriors from the Tyrell clan.”
Jules smiled in reply not feeling surprised. “Yes, I’m the younger brother of the village chief. I’ve come to lead you to your resting spot.”
Blacky knew that the Tyrell clan ruled over Tifili Village. They had five elemental warriors. This made Tifili Village a first class village.
Raven apparently had some connection with the Tyrell Clan. Blacky killed two of the village guards in the past. While these were low ranked guards, they still classified Blacky as a wanted criminal. However thanks to Raven, they didn’t look into the matter, leaving Blacky.
Jules led the group to a hidden entrance, away from the crowds. He spoke along the way.
“This is the Flame Colosseum of our Tifili Village. It can hold one thousand five hundred people. Today half our guests are from the village. The rest are visitors from nearby villages and cities.” Jules explained feeling proud.
The group arrived at a room on the ground floor. There was a metal gate at the front of the room. Outside of this gate was the massive arena. The group had no choice but to sit on benches.
Jules pulled out a black box from his spatial ring, placing it in a corner.
Jules smiled faintly. “This is a recording box. For this event we managed to get people from the Grand Auction Manor. They sent over a specially trained elemental warrior.”
This was the first time Blacky heard of the Grand Auction Manor and this device.
Blacky whispered to Raven. “Sir Raven, what is the Grand Auction Manor?”
Raven replied casually. “The Grand Auction Manor is a branch of the Grand Pill sect. They auction off things which the members of the sect create. They also train elemental warriors who practice the recording element. While this is useless a useless element for combat, they can earn a hefty profit.”
Blacky saw a image of the colosseum appear on the recording box. This was a live image which showed the crowds and the empty circular arena.
Blacky looked at this in awe. He couldn’t believe such a thing was possible.
Jules spoke. “The village chief will soon announce the rules of the tournament.”
After a few minutes a middle aged man appeared sitting on the honorary seat. The man was dressed in glorious white robes. There were five old men who respectfully gathered around him.
“That’s the village chief, Sting Tyrell.” Jules pointed out.
Sting spoke out. “I humbly welcome all those who join us! It’s my honour to be hosting such a grand event.”
Sting was on the highest level of the colosseum, when he talked, his voice echoed throughout the colosseum.
Sting continued. “Today we have thirty two geniuses fighting for glory! These young talents come from all over the Empire. After careful selection we choose the best of the best. Everyone is above the middle spiritual warrior stage!”
The colosseum was packed with countless people, they were mostly nobles. Hearing Sting’s words many began to cheer.
Sting waited for the crowd’s cheers to stop before he continued. “There is only one rule! One may not kill or cripple their opponent. Anyone who does will be held accountable.”
White Devil glanced at Blacky meaningfully.
Blacky awkwardly smiled as he continued to look at the recording box.
Jules found their behaviour strange, however he remained silent.
“The format will be simple. All fights will be held today. Those with a higher level will fight those with a lower level. The world is unfair, in this tournament we only hope to find the strongest!” Sting explained his views.
Finally Sting bowed towards the audience. “Now we will introduce all thirty two contestants based off their level! “

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.
