Chapter 11: Demon Descends
A squad of thirty or so Village Guards ran into the arena in a swarm.
They wore special leather armour which had the insignia of the Stone Village. They were the elite guards of Stone Village. The weakest among the group was at the sixth level of the Spiritual Warrior stage. Most were at the late stages of the Spiritual Warrior stage.
Blacky’s face paled when he saw the guards. He had always been wary of village guards, especially in Tifili Village. Now that he saw the large group of guards swarming in, he immediately had thoughts of escaping.
Blacky tried to move but felt incredible pain all over his body. He suddenly realized the injury he received from Cool Breeze was not so simple.
Raven coldly snorted, dark energy surrounded him as he grabbed Blacky and appeared by Cool Breeze’s side.
“Village Chief Shamix, what is the meaning of this?” Raven stood tall as he spoke out.
The Village Guards all stood in an orderly manner around the arena. At the same time Village Elder Stanley appeared by Village Chief Shamix’s side.
Another elder who was in charge of the elite of the Village Guards joined the two. All three were at the ninth level of the Spiritual Warrior stage. Village Chief Shamix was the strongest of the three, only a small distance away from the Elemental Warrior stage.
The crowd all watched on in silence. They didn’t believe the grand Village Chief would use underhanded means to get the Golden Leaf.
Village Chief Shamix eyed the crowd before speaking.
“Hmph, after careful investigation, we’ve come to suspect you three as spies sent to our village to cause disorder. It’s quite clear you’ve come to sabotage our tournament. We believe the suspects plan on ruining our chances at Tifili Village’s grand tournament. Most likely they wish that our Stone Village will never rise in power.” Village Chief Shamix spoke up righteously.
The crowd began to nod their heads. They all believed Janna had great talent, if she got to show it off at Tifili Village, they would definitely gain a few benefits.
Raven glared at Shamix coldly as he rubbed the ring on his finger. “Hmph, what nonsense, you’re simply trying to justify your actions. Even a fool can tell you don’t want to hand out the Golden Leaf. If I guess correctly, you also wish to take our belongings?”

Village Chief Shamix completely ignored Raven as he spoke. “As I’ve said before, there will be many power factions at that tournament. If Janna could join one, our Stone Village would have a strong backer. It would only be a matter of time till we become a first class Village!”
“Not only that.. Your people had clear intentions of disabling my daughter, adding on the fact that you lied about his level of cultivation, hmph. That simply confirms your ill intentions.” Village Chief Shamix had planned everything out beforehand.
He originally was going to refuse to hand out the Golden Leaf, but after seeing Raven’s storage ring, and the miraculous pill which healed Blacky. He decided to take offensive measures. Although the other side had two Elemental Warriors, their side had far larger numbers.
Cheers erupted from the crowd as they heard the Village Chiefs words. They looked up to the Village Chief as a hero who was going to lead them to prosperity. In fact even if the Village Chief publicly admitted that he wished to rob the trio, no one would dare speak out against him. They also believed the Village Chief wouldn’t go up against foes of the Elemental Warrior stage, without being assured of certain victory.
Raven frowned slightly. He thought that the Village Chief wouldn’t be so shameless. Yet even the villagers of Stone Village appeared to be of the same nature. The dark energy around his body became chaotic.
“You think measly Spiritual Warriors can stand a chance against an Elemental Warrior?” Raven glared at the group of guards.
“Haha, not only do I believe we stand a chance against you, even that little brat stands no chance.” Village Chief Shamix pulled out a small sack, and then a spear appeared in his hands. The spear appeared mystical as yellowish-brown glowing patterns were carved on the shaft.
All of the village guards, including the elders pulled out their weapons from holsters. But none could compare to the Village Chiefs.
“Elemental grade weapon.” Raven frowned as he saw the spear in Village Chief Shamix’s hands.
“Hahaha, this is Stone Elements Edge, an heirloom of our Stone Village.” Shamix smiled as he noticed Raven’s frown. With this weapon he didn’t fear even Elemental Warriors, especially with his guards by his side.

Raven snorted, a completely black sword appeared in his hand. Unlike the Stone Elemental Edge, this sword had no patterns. It was of lower quality compared to the other. Even Raven did not have the luxury of owning an elemental grade weapon.
Raven glanced at Cool Breeze and spoke with a low voice. “Young master, I’m afraid the situation is looking grim.” Raven paused for a moment as he glanced at Blacky. “I will hold them back, if possible take Blacky and escape, if he dies here I won’t be able to answer my friend even in the next life.”
Village Chief Shamix smiled carelessly as he spoke. “Planning to escape? Hahaha, unfortunately what’s waiting outside is even more guards, I’m afraid you won’t make it too far!”
*Clap Clap Clap*
Cool Breeze who was silently watching on suddenly began to clap.
“I must say, even though I’ve met countless stupid people in my life you definitely take one of the top positions. For this, I commend you.” Cool Breeze spoke with a slight smile.
Everyone turned to look at Cool Breeze as if he was a retard. Blacky even thought that Cool Breeze had lost his mind due to fear.
Village Chief Shamix snorted. “Little brat you sure do have a nasty mouth. Although you can be considered a genius, you’re nothing alone. Perhaps if you were a few years older you may cause this Village Chief to have some concerns… But that day will never come.”
Cool Breeze began to laugh hysterically as he held onto his stomach in reply. “Hahahahahahaha!”
“That’s good, no that’s very good. In all my life you’re the first person to dare speak to me that way.” Cool Breeze smiled as he wiped the tears at the side of his eyes.
“What’s even more hilarious is that you’re simply trash from a village. No in fact your village is trash within the trash!” Cool Breeze once again began to laugh.
Village Chief Shamix’s face flushed red in anger. No matter where this brat was from this was his Stone Village. In this place he was the king! Yet this brat dared to insult him.
“Capture that brat! He must be tortured and fed to the dogs!” Village Chief Shamix roared out.
Raven frowned he immediately entered his battle stance. As for Blacky he tried to get up and run but he simply couldn’t move a single inch.
“Dark Eyes come down here.” The smile on Cool Breeze’s face suddenly disappeared as he calmly spoke out.
Suddenly the air around the arena seemed to grow colder. Raven, who was prepared for battle, looked up to the sky in shock.
Village Chief Shamix and the elders beside him all felt something strange. They also looked up into the sky.
Almost simultaneously all their jaws were left open as the moment they looked up. Everyone who saw their reactions also gazed up at the sky.
Within the sky was currently a human-shaped figure covered in dark-gas like clouds. He seemed to be casually floating down. There was a strange dark and terrifying aura surrounding the figure.
Blacky stared at the figure that was descending down with fear. “Ahh, it’s a demon! It’s coming to eat us!” he began to pitifully crawl away.
Raven on the other hand was also shocked but after a moment, he let out a deep breathe of relief.
The demonic figure suddenly landed beside Cool Breeze, under the stunned eyes of the crowd the strange dark clouds surrounding the figure disappeared.
All that was left was a figure wrapped in black robes. None of his facial figures were visible, only his eyes emitted a dark light from under the cloak.
Blacky found it too hard to crawl, so he began to roll out of the arena in fear. The demon must have sensed that Raven and Cool Breeze were the strongest. So it wanted to eat them first!
At the moment no one took notice of Blacky pathetically rolling on the ground. Under the stunned eyes of the villagers, the man suddenly bowed respectfully towards Cool Breeze and spoke out.
“Young master, your servant awaits your orders.” A strangely ghoulish voice was heard.

The plot exists but it very slowly becomes relevant. Also, slow character progress. It's a long journey, so don't expect a hero to grow in just a few chapters. Detailed environments and extensive world-building. Realistic and tactical combat instead of flashy. Protagonist with a cheat but far from overpowered.
