-Miyu looks super excited-

(M) Are you ready for Dr Geofferrys class? It’s going to be so fun. There won’t be a lot of students there, maybe around five? It’s a small class but a very useful class. Some people don’t think potions are cool, but I assure you they are.

(A) -listening methodically-

-Ari is lead outside and to a teleporter-

(A) Dr Geoffreys class isn’t in the main building?

(M) nope he needs a classroom that is open and full of materials from the outside world.

-Ari nods and they both step on the teleport-

-Ari and Miyu are teleported to a small island behind the main volkov academy. It is very vegetated, giant trees, strange plants, and rocks. There is a little hut in the distance-

-Ari and Miyu walk up to the hut-

(M) dr Geoffrey we’re here!

-Ari hears some rustling inside and things falling over. The huts door swings open to reveal a guy in glasses and a lab coat. His glasses shine as the light hits them. He has messy hair. He pushes his glasses up as he takes Ari’s hand and observes it then squats and taps on her shin-

(A) ....

(M) d-dr Geoffrey this is ari.

(Dr G) -stands up and pushes his glasses up- Ari! Nice to meet you, pardon me but I’ve never seen a being without power before.

-Ari still weirded out-

(Dr G) thank you for agreeing to test out our experiments. What Miyu has said about you really gives me hope.

(A-inner mono) um..

-Dr g quickly turns into the hut and walks in, miyu follows and Ari follows after miyu-

-It’s crammed inside the hut. Potion bottles, weird materials and regents. Eyeballs, plants, weird little creatures and pots-

-Ari stares at the creature that looked like a morbidly gross human bird cross over. It turns around and hisses at her. Ari, at that second, lost her soul right then and there-

(Dr G) they won’t harm you, they are only babies

-Ari soul comes back in but she’s wary-

(M) Dr Geoffrey... where are the other students?

(Dr G) -face turned solemn with gray lines- they dropped the class because their materials started disappearing. They blamed each other on the trip and ended up leaving -sigh-

(M) disappearing!? What do you mean?

(Dr G) they will go out to gather the materials but after it is gathered it seemed to be disappearing right before they got to the classroom. Of course it stops when all of them leave and I personally have had no problem.

(M) don’t worry professor, we're here, we will help!

(Dr G) -nods with satisfaction- thank you

(Dr G) -sighs- the board wants there to be at least three students to a class. So we still have to find another one before next semester… but I’m hopeful, we do have 5 months left.

-Miyu nods-

(A-inner mono) I will also be leaving next semester so technically you guys will need two...

(Dr G) okay enough talk. Let’s start class. Today we will be working on temporary magic potions.

(A) temporary magic?

(Dr G) yes! It’s still in the process but theoretically it allows a person to have a certain power for a limited amount of time.

(A) does this work on humans too?!

(Dr G) that’s what I’m aiming for. Even if it is a limited amount of time, I want human beings to use this as a protective spell if they are in danger.

(A-inner mono) what a nice guy

(Dr G) the thing is the potions can only be done with base powers and not their evolution form. So it’s not strong magic, but it will help for a minute I think

(A) oh

(Dr G) we are working on the earth defensive potion. It allows the user to become more resilient, more durable, and able to morph the earth-which consist of dirt and rocks- into little walls to protect themselves. Ari we will have you try it when the potion is made!

(A) ooo, I’m up for it.

(Dr G) okay girls I need you to collect the geodes and the runic barks from the rune trees.

(M) on it!

(A) um how many should we..?

(Dr G) what a perceptive student! Get me as much as you can carry!

-Ari and miyu head out of the hut-

(M) follow me Ari, it’s gonna take a while to reach the grove of runic trees but the good thing is the geodes grow there too.

-Ari nods and fastens the little fanny pack the dr g gave her on her waist. (it is Ari little storage unit)-

30 min later miyu is unfazed but Ari is out of breath and deadly tired

(A-inner mono) I regret wearing socks and sandals....

(M) -energetic- just 30 more minutes Ari!

(A) dead noises

-They finally reach the grove and it looks magical. The trees have lines etched in it that are glowing. The geodes were different shapes and sizes, they were like rose bushes but instead of roses there were geodes-

(M) ari, I’ll take the runic barks since it takes mana to extract them. Could you please harvest the geodes? Here’s a shovel.

-Miyu pulls out a shovel from her inner dimension space-

-Ari nods and goes to the geodes bushels. They were glittering 0w0-

(M) -yelling- just dig around it like a plant then it will come out nicely

(A) -sighs and mutters- I love manual labor

-She starts digging around the geode flowers. Since Ari is weak it really is a struggle. She barely got on the bushel out and tried to pick it up-

-Miyu notices Ari’s struggles and puts down her huge lore of runic bark to help out-

-Ari thanks miyu and together they put it in miyu’s storage-

(M) I think one bushel will be enough.

-They walk back to where miyu left the runic barks-

(A)....

(M) ....

(M) th-they are gone!? I even put a protection charm on it.

-Ari and miyu look at the sad little pieces of rune bark that were left-

-Miyu quickly looks around under different trees-

(M) maybe I put them somewhere else!

(A-inner mono) clearly there is evidence that you left it under this tree

-Ari helps Miyu with the searching. She goes around the tree to see if any traces of the culprit were left-

(A) aha!

-Little prices of runic bark were scattered. They led a path to some glowing bushes-

-Ari is nervous but she slowly walks toward the bush. She takes a deep breath and gently pushes back the soft leaves. In front of her is the culprit. His back facing her. He has his uniform on and is using his shirt as a little pouch. Inside his makeshift pouch are the runic barks-

(A) ...

-Ari is taken aback. Literally in front of her is a little kid. This little kid had golden blond hair like the color of gold. Fair skin-.

-He was struggling trying to carry everything so he was too busy to notice Ari-

-Ari appears behind him and fucking creates a fist and starts whamming his head-

(Kid) hey!?

(A) -menacing tone- how dare you steal the fruits of our labor

-She continues hitting him on the head. The kid drops all the runic barks out of shock. He turns around as quick as lightning and yells-

(Kid) HOW DARE YOU, Who do you think you are!?!??!?”

(A-inner mono) oh. It’s a shota..

-She hits him again, he swings his arms in defense(it doesn't work)-

-Since the kid is shorter Ari just puts her knuckle sandwich on his head while he tries to get at her but fails cause he’s puny-

(Kid) do you know how I am!?

(A) no

(Kid) -annoyed and bratty- what is a human like you doing here!? I didn’t know Volkov was doing a charity event.

-Ari gets annoyed And whack’s the kid again. He now has tears in his eyes and is very angry-

(A) apologize now!

(Kid) old hag!

-Ari grabs his ear and twists it, she brings the kid back. He is complaining while trying to get her hand off his ear-

(M) Ari are you alright-

(A) what’s this little rascal doing here? I didn’t know Volkov babysitted.

-Miyu breaks out in cold sweat-

(A) let's bring him back to dr g, he needs a beating.

(kid) try me! I’ll just kick you off this island pig head

(M) Ari...

(A) -on her last nerve- you brat, seems like your nanny left you here on purpose

(Kid) you!

(M) -sweating floods- uhh Ari….. D:

(A) your right Miyu, it will take us a long time to get to geoferry with him on our backs. He might try to run away....

(M) ?

(Kid) ?

(A) I remember the suit man saying that if someone falls off the island, they get teleported back to the entrance and have to do the whole process of getting in

-maliciously smiles and looks at the kid-

(Kid) !? Oh no you don’t old wart, if you kick me off I will bring you with me

(M) Ari wait-

-Ari ignores all the fuss and starts walking past the trees. The kid tries pulling away but her hands are like cement. Miyu is running behind them

(M) Ari I don’t think you should do this

-They walk for 15 min and see the edge. Ari and the kid look at each other. Ari smiles and brings the kid to the edge-

(A) I bet your mommy and daddy are waiting for you in the front, instead of walking all the way. I’ll just send you there.

-The Kid spits out blood. Ari lets go of her grip. The kid launches at her cause he’s trying to bring her down with him. Ari stops the kid easily cause he is puny and uses her feet to kick him off-

(Kid) I AM GOING TO K-

(Miyu) ....

-Ari wipes off her hands and turns around-

-Miyus' soul has left her body-

(A) Okay Miyu, let's bring our findings back!

-Miyu is still soulless-

-Ari grabs Miyu’s hand and starts walking the way to the grove-
