“-aster master! Wake up!” said an annoying voice that comes from far away to disturb my precious sleep.

Ughhh, ı don’t wanna, leave me you beast of a women

“Master breakfast is ready and your whole family is waiting, you know what happens when you make Miss wait so much right?”said the suddenly crystall clear voice of the demon people calls a maid.

I groggliy opened my eyes to see the smiling face of my personal tomboyish maid Nicole a.k.a Nico

“Ughh you tricked me didn’t you Nico? I must punish you accordingly!”

Nico keept looking at me with an amused look and decided to ignore my very serious threat

“Yes yes I am sure you will Young master but first you must get ready for your morning practice.I hope you didn’t forget that you will start learning how to hold a sword properly”

Sword training? Sword training she said? Yep I totally forgot.

“Of course I didn’t forget how can I forget something like this, anyways Nico you can go away now I’ll prepare immediately after you leave my room”

“I’ll be waiting you downstairs Young Master”She said while giving me a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

Somehow that smile sends shivers down my spine. So I started to prepare hastily for whats to come.

After I am ready I left my room with a slightly faster steps than usual.

While I was at the end of our mansions corridor I saw my elder brother Elric kissing a maid while touching her weird places.So I tried my best to ignore them and keep my sight forward.

When I arrived at the dining hall I was welcomed with the sight of a freshly baked breads and simple but nutritous breakfast.

I got on my seat while returning the pleasantries of our servants.

While I was eating my breakfast I didn’t notice the upcoming danger : The burrial twins!

Suddenly I was embraced from behind by two big and soft pillow like things which belongs to my mother.

“Will, my baby how are you today?”

“mphf mphf muhmm mahmm”

With all the force ı can muster I pushed myself from her deathly twins.

I am not a baby anymore mother humpf

“M-Mother please you are embarresing me”

My mother turned me to face her beautiful sapphire eyes and gave me a hearth broken look and said

“My, my little Will doesn’t wants mom anymore(sniff)?”

An incredible sadness washed over me and I felt regret for the words I said before.

“Thats not it mom, of course I want you, you are my most precious person afterall!”

For a second there I thought I saw something in my moms eye and a little twitch on her lips but that must be because Im still sleepy.After hearing my response moms demeanour changes immediately .

“Awww my little angel, you and your siblings are my most precious people too.” She bends down a little to kiss the top of my head and joins me at breakfast

Then she gets into no nonsense mode and starts lecturing me about why I shoudn’t skip my other lessons after I start to get sword lessons and how magic and history are equally if not more important than the said lesson.

While we were talking I noticed that father accompanied by my eldest brother Mike and my little sister Catelyn.

As soon as Catelyn sees me she starts running and hops on my lap while shouting big brother.

Father sits at the start of the table after giving a recognising nod.

Mike sits next to mom after his own good morning.

After the awkerd silence father starts talking.

“Son, now that you are starting your sword training I expect great things from you, make me and our family proud”

Right to the business huh.

With a forced smile I give a small nod and said “Of course father I will make our Valenston family proud”

I can see mom getting sad over the little interaction I am having with father.

It was always like this, ever since the day father came to the conclusion that Elric is a good for nothing. Being from the Valenston family that takes pride of coming from a long line of accomplished paladins that done things from the scale of helping THE HERO to defeat the demon lord to saving the kidnapped princess you naturally have a lot to shoulder on.Lots of expectations to drown on.Since Mike will inherit Fathers lands and Elric is.. you know just Elric, all the expectations comes down to my shoulders.If I end up being a good for nothing too our proud family will take a damage to its reputation.Thats why father is so strict with me.

While I was having this internal explanation our buttler Sebastian(why all the buttlers have the name Sebastian ?) came inside the dininghall to remind me that the time for training is near so that ı can get ready.

I placed down my adorable sister and gave everyone a have a good day.

When I went up stairs the screams of a girl and the loud banging noise came to my ears from big brother Elrics room. Seems like hes playing the game he told me with that maid.So I masterfully ignore all the noise and arrive at my room.Where my training gear waits me on top of my bed.

After changing to my training gear and struggling with those long boots I made way to the training yard.

Once in the training yard I saw the giant of a man that is to be my sword master.

I watched him from afar with frightened eyes for a few minutes untill he saw me.

Slowly I made my way towards him, with evey step I took I become more and more sure of my walking to Show that I am a member of the glorious house of Valenston and I am not afraid.Which is a complete lie since Im about to wet myself thanks to his piercing gaze.

I noticed he has grey eyes that gives him a fierce look. There were no scars on his overly muscular body other than the vertical one that starts from his right eyebrows to his cheek. With his ash grey hair makes him look older then he is there were no other perks that makes him stand out.

When I arrived in front of him he suddenly gave me a warm smile that I tought he was uncapable of.Which somehow made me feel much more relieved than I was before.

“Welcome Young master, my name is Reinfridus but you can call me Rei.From today untill you unlock your crest I’ll be your sword instructor, unless you decide to give up halfway.” he finished with an evil glint in his eyes.

Oooh? Is that a threat?
