The sound of the explosion resonated across the canyon with large amounts of dust and smoke rising high up in the air into the clouds. No doubt alerting every being in the vicinity, not like the unknown source of energy hadn’t already. Eraak stood back up, ears ringing from the intensity of the explosion, “Okaaay I didn’t expect it to be that loud!” ignoring the ringing in his ear, he tried to unclench his fist to found out it was stiff as a board. Not bothering to glance at it, he frowned. “Oh, good I punched the ground a little too hard for my fist’s liking. No matter.”

As the ringing stopped, Eraak slowly turned his gaze at the two fiends floating in midair; both had their hands clap to their ears to stop the ringing. Ah, they resemble quite well with the demon I had disposed of earlier, only minor differences, like their wings. Not paying any attention to the scientist, they focus their attention on the smoke covered cliffside with arms stretched out and palms fully opened, completely alerted, just the way Eraak wanted.

“What the fuck was that?!” the lower tone demon on the left exclaimed, Eraak assumed he was the leader of the two just by how much larger it was than its partner.

“It sounded like a bomb!” the raspy voice of the smaller demon on the right said alarmed.

Upon hearing this, Eraak’s smile widen. “Ah yes, those idiots are distracted... Now time to divert the others that are approaching this location.” He whispered as he forcefully unclenched his stiff fist, flinching from the sting of pain that flowed through his hand. Ignoring the discomfort, he covered his right eye. I’m sorry, but I must take over half of your mind. Only for assisting purposes, of course, you need a lot of it if you’re going to survive just for a bit. Deep within his mind, Eraak had established a connection to his summon, not to take over its body, instead to communicate with it while taking over its vision on its right eye, this will allow Eraak to assist the summoning in its survivability for the onslaught it was going to face.

Regaining its composure, the smaller fiend became fully aware of what they had come here for, “Wait we forgot ab- “Before it could turn around to check on the scientist, Eraak quickly uncovered his eye to show it was utterly dark orange.

“Too late.” He said.

In the corner of its eyes, it caught a glimpse of a massive black outline moving in the smoke, halting in place, fear slowly crept its way up. Its partner also noticed the creature as well, the demon panicked and fired rapid fireballs out of their palms, “What the Hell is that!”

“It looks like a beast from The Wild!” Startled, its partner chimed in too. “A better question is how did it travel this far in The Central?! The Abominations should’ve taken care of it!” it yelled over the continuous fireballs they shot at a rapid pace.

Eraak, on the other hand, was snickering at their attempts, they were only making it worse for themselves. It’s true that he had only seen this creature once, during the time his pink hair friend Celica had presented it as a gift. During the whole ordeal, she had explained the power the beast had possessed was no joke. According to her, the creature was said to be the guardian of its home planet, defending it with its own life from all intruders that dare to take the resources of the planet, while it seeks out other planets to feed. Ravaging those lands like it was a playground, wiping out large islands without any problem.

Luckily the monster was unconscious during the process, or else the scientist wouldn’t be standing at this very moment.

Although the story sounded convincing, he had to take it with a grain of salt since he had never seen the pink twin tail girl fight in her life, or even heard her mentioned anything about combat. From what he knew, she would stay in her lab practically all day, not stepping foot outside without the fear of being contaminated by germs, a true germaphobe. A germophobic scientist like her taking on a beast that could wipe large islands off the map was a little skeptical. Still, he didn’t have a choice in the matter, to believe rather than not to believe, he had to pick one and Hope to the heavens that everything she spouted out about this beast was the truth.

His mind broke away from concentration, the constant rapid firing of fireballs made it difficult for Eraak to think. Instead, he eyed the demons; their worried faces only fueled his self-confidence in his plan. It was futile really, it was only pissing it off, making it far more dangerous. Of course, Eraak kept it from attacking, he needed to wait until Jon was completely invisible before making a move.

The larger of the two demons felt its fear diminishing as rage was starting to build up, gritting its teeth, it yelled, “Why am I not hearing any screams!” it stopped its attack. Lowering its arm, its partner followed suit as they observe the creatures outline to be surprised that it didn’t move an inch. It was completely unaffected, not what the demons had hope.

Tightly clenching its fist, the fiend was fuming with vexation, “I’ll show you.” Red orbs appear in its eyes sockets, its stomach was growing by the second, “I’ll show you!!!”

Its smaller partner flew further back, not wanting to be in the crossfire of its leader’s attack. “Yeah do it! Show it who’s boss!”

Out of nowhere, Eraak widen his eyes, his breathing increased when he sensed large groups of energy signatures appeared far from the area, but he knew full well they were planning to arrive in this location in no time. This confirmed Eraaks suspicion, they all felt the strange power created by the human, he grunted as he pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. “I’m going to eat something utterly delightful when I arrive back to ease my nerves. Hopefully - “He looked over to the unconscious human, “-this mortal is what I’ve been looking for after eons of failure, or I’m risking everything for nothing.” he turned his head back.

His brown eyes gaze at the demons, taking notice of their different positions. Needing to squint to get a better view, faintly seeing the chest of the leader puff to the extreme.

Its chest expanded until it was at full capacity, the demon opened its mouth wide. In a blink of an eye, bright red flames rushed out in a crazed frenzy, dancing through the air in a blaze before entering the smoke and enveloping the creature.

Eraak smirked, shaking his head as he turned back to the human whose head had just disappeared, slowly the human’s body was vanishing. A sign of progress from the Siberian leech. Eraak rubbed his hands together excitedly, the pit of his stomach filled with reassurance as he sighed in relief. “Heh right on time.”

Backup were arriving faster than he thought, in a hurry, the maniac levitated the nearly half invisible human in the air, hovering above Eraak’s left shoulder. “Just a bit longer.”

The fiend continued to unleash its scorching hot flames onto its victim, yet no screams of pain rang from the creature. In a furious attempt, the demon signaled its partner to attack, while simultaneously increasing its flames power and size.

Its partner complied, raising its palms up and blasted the creature with massive fireballs. The continued assault destroyed the cliffside.

The process was complete. The human was finally invisible, Eraak sighed once more before a confident smile took its place. Without any second thought, he sprinted south, just as doing so, he turned his head slightly to examine the destruction from behind. Eraak shook his head from the display; he knew very well that what the demons are doing was a huge mistake, a small chuckle came from his mouth, “Not the brightest of ideas to use against it.”

He turned his head forward, orange eye now glowing brighter, “Now, now let’s see what this summoning can do!”

A thunderous, powerful sound abrupted the dancing flames, not coming from the sky but from what lies inside the smoke, unleashing tremendous amounts of power into a single wave that instantly push through the fire,” ARAGHHH!!!” both demons screamed in terror as the wave completely obliterated them to nothingness.

The wave of pure energy traveled upon hundreds of miles in a radius before dissipating. The immense pressure from the summoning, shook the land like an earthquake, causing havoc on the landmass. Eraak had already shielded himself from inevitable destruction, stumbling over his feet from the quake. “Amazing show of power!!! HAha, a magnificent beast, truly something that no one would ever cross paths with!”

A powerful gust of wind blew the smoke away, what hovered there was a monster of massive proportions, mighty black wings from each side flapped seamlessly in the air. The wings itself was attached to a large muscular, four-legged, black body, along with a lengthy tail stretched across 12 meters. The top of the tail held small spines that increase size as it goes from the tail to the body, shrinking along its slim, 5 meters long tattooed neck. Making the creature 37 meters in length

Six horns protrude on top of its head, three horns on each side of its jaw. Terrifying rows of long sharp teeth hung from its mouth. Its sharp dark shade of orange eyes stared at the sky. These were the features that made the ancient mortals worship them as gods, even to this day, all species will bow down to the ancient beast of the new era, the Ancient Orange-Eye Dragon.
