Later that day...
Altara was sitting at his desk, reading a book about enchanting, leaning on his palm with a calm look on his face as he swiped through the pages. He reached over to a cup beside the book, sipping the tea from it. He stood up and walked to the window at the end of the bed, looking out of it as he sipped his tea. He looked down at the tea and moved the cup in circles slightly, watching the liquid produce a small whirlpool within the cup. His door then knocked, he walked up to it after putting the tea down at his desk and opened it, seeing Konstantine.
She was wearing a black shirt that had brown buttons which ran all the way down the front of it, her bottoms were simply brown joggers. He also noticed a gold pin attached to her shirt in the shape of an endless knot. She was wearing some simple black sneakers. He looked up at her crimson eyes and smiled slightly. "O-Oh hi Konstantine, come in." He moved out her way, she walked into the room and looked around. She was only slightly smaller than Altara, around 5'8 or so.
Konstantine looked around the room. "Nice place, you live here?" She simply asked Altara, glancing over her shoulder at him as he closed the door behind her. "Yeah, my dorm to be more precise. I sleep and hang around here when I'm not practicing."
"Practicing? Practicing what?" Konstantine asked, turning to him and folding her arms. Altara looked at her, raising a brow. "Magik of course." He smiled slightly. "Why else do you think this place is called the Tower of Magik?" Konstantine itched the back of her head. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

She then sat on Altara's bed, who walked over to the kettle in the corner of the room next to the desk which was on a small shelf. "Want some tea? It's boiled." He looked at Konstantine over his shoulder, who looked up at him. "Tea?...tea...yeah if that's okay." She itched her leg.
Altara nodded and grabbed a teabag from a jar next to the kettle, dropping it into a cup and pouring the boiled water into it. He grabbed some milk from a mini-fridge under the shelf the kettle was on and poured it into the cup. He stirred the tea and took the teabag out using the spoon he stirred it with, putting it into the bin on the other side of the room. He gave Konstantine the tea, who looked at it for a moment. She then took a sip of it, her eyes widening.
"Heheh, do you like it?" Altara asked, folding his arms.
"I..." Konstantine looked at the tea, then at Altara. "Yeah, thanks. This is the first time I've tasted a drink other than water in years."
Altara's small smile dropped before he sat down on the bed next to her. "Yeah, I get that. You were with them for a while, huh?" Konstantine simply nodded, looking a little sad. Altara looked shocked for a second. "Sorry! I didn't mean to bring it up like that, that was stupid."
"No, it's fine." Konstantine took another sip before speaking again. "It's nice to talk to someone about it, you know? The things I went through, I wasn't able to vent it out to anyone. They did...terrible things to me...I was shipped around until I was stuck with Kript and his men for a good two years." Her face became blank. "They...did terrible things. Kript made me do..." Konstantine stopped talking mid-sentence and sighed before shaking her head.

Altara simply stayed silent.
Konstantine then looked up at Altara, placing her hand on his thigh. "Thank you, Altara. If it weren't for you I'm sure I would have been left with them."
Altara quickly looked down at her hand before looking up at her. "It's uh, no problem." He said with a slightly shaky voice, blushing.
Konstantine put her cup down on the floor next to the bed, pushing Altara down on the bed and straddling him. She quickly unbuttoned her shirt. Altara froze when this happened. She finished unbuttoning and leaned down to kiss him.
...
She kissed the palm of Altara's hand, who was blocking her from kissing him.
The two stared in eachother's eyes for a moment. Before Konstantine quickly got off him, buttoning her shirt up. "Sorry. That was an impulse that I shouldn't have let out." She stood up from the bed. "I-I didn't know how else to-"
"I understand." Altara sat up from his bed and looked up at her. "Just..."
...
"..finish your tea."
Konstantine stood there, blinking rapidly before nodding. "Y-Yeah." She grabbed her tea off the floor.

Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light
“I discovered a secret. One I desperately wish could have stayed hidden. It was locked away, concealed in a fantastical world on the doorstep of 7 billion people who stayed utterly oblivious to it. If they will be spared the terror that is coming, I can’t begin to imagine. Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope

Hattoran Chronicle
There is a hostile sky above me. Man will never conquer space. He may live in it, but he will never conquer it. The sky above is void, and very black, and very hostile. -- Joseph Kittinger A pair of extragalactic supersoldiers are betrayed and stranded in the Milky Way at the end of the 29th century, potentially shaking the balance of power within the galaxy, but there's far more going on than anyone realizes. Allies are few in a galaxy eager to learn their secrets, and their ancient enemy continues to threaten the existence of the entire universe. The two Hattorans are forced to rely on each other and a few unlikely allies to solve a problem they for once can't simply fight their way out of.(Technically Star Trek fanfic but outside of existing storylines and I'm considering how easily the serial numbers could be filed off) This is all in progress and constructive feedback is strongly encouraged! I've got a lot in the air as I bring this all together.
