Joshua was back in the world of Rebellion of Humanity, seeing the Frames and their Lions were checking on a few other details. Standing by for more missions, the Lions have been working well with the Vanguards. The efficiency of the Vanguards have increased substantially, now it takes a team of 5 trained Vanguard Riders in their custom Vanguards against a quad legged Frame.
"This is Shane to all units. Report in."
"This is Gladiator Squad Blue Python, we've secured a supply depot from the Entente."
"This is Valiant Squadron Nightwing, air superiority established. We're now beginning rescue operation. We've got humans that have turned to something else, currently being helped by Alec and Mitchell."
"Copy that. Anyone got a progress report on Jane 000?" Joshua made his way into the command room, seeing Commander Shane who was looking at the map. This time, there was a significant change. Humanity was able to push through from the brink, the map that Joshua had seen as all reds had now turned to blue.
"So how does it feel? Seeing the new changes?" Joshua asked Shane who was tired as she sat on her chair.
"We manage to do something to fix what the aliens did to other humans, but it's not an easy thing. There's a lot of damage to them, psychologically and mentally. We've also gotten a word that even among the Entente... There's talks of those that wish for peace. The Bishop of Despair wishes for a call of peace but the other aliens do not wish for it." Shane reported, passing a dossier for Joshua to glance over.
"What's this?"
"Insider intel. Seems like the Bishop of Despair has got fans but you're the one person I know who can stop an assassination attempt. The assassins are likely to be a new species of alien." Shane pointed to a photo of a beefier creature, the Reptiles were medium sized and could be taken down easier. This one was more like a grizzly bear, but one with intelligence. Their weapons were something different entirely, they were literally loaded for bear. Carrying heavy weapons, plasma rifles instead of energy or pulse weapons. They were definitely a heavier target than what he's faced. Their hides, according to reports of what some Valiants and Gladiators and SA users had faced, they could handle the heavier caliber. The artillery cannon that struck them barely did damage to them, reports stated that there was some sort of electromagnetic armor.
In this situation, Joshua was trying to think of a strategy... The Crimson Reavers would be a good fight but having Donovan and Iacus may be the best. For this, it would be best to have Iacus, Donovan and Vizel. Along with One Eyed Emperor to be his eyes on target.
"Location?"
"There's a place where the Bishop of Despair wishes to speak to the Entente's aliens. It's happening in 5 hours. What's your play?"
"It may help. If we can sway the Entente to the Bishop of Despair, it may make things easier on our end. At least, trying for peace."

"Are you serious? They treat us like cattle!" Shane's anger was justified, but to Joshua it was something he understood but he himself was no better than they are.
"If this Bishop of Despair is being sincere, then he may be the one Bishop we want to have on our side. I've slaughtered a lot of them, their families and things to get back at them but there's more that we need to do. This war has taken too much from us and some of them. When I defend the Bishop. I'll make my statement and we will see what happens next." Joshua said as he headed off, where he found Vizel, Iacus, Donovan, One Eyed Emperor and Ice Reaper standing at the door.
"I have been listening to the Bishop of Despair's preachings. He is not a warmonger like the others. He is more of an individual who wishes to fight but only for defense... Yet, I find it ironic how individuals that call for peace in times of war. I'm sure it is the same for your world?" One Eyed Emperor asked, where Joshua gave a brief nod and Ice Reaper became a scythe.
"Take me there, Emperor." The raven that was perched by One Eyed Emperor's hand, flew upwards then changing into a large black bird above the sky. A snap of the One Eyed Emperor's fingers, and they were on the raven's back.
"We will reach the location soon. What do you wish to do, Lord?" Iacus asked.
"To observe the situation. That should be our priority. When the assassins, as Commander Shane has dubbed it as the Borus... We will attack them to defend. One Eyed Emperor, I entrust you to defend the Bishop and the non combatants. Iacus, Donovan, Vizel. You three will standby, when the Borus begin their assault."
"Yes, Lord." They arrived at the location, it was a large fortress of aliens just moving about. There was decorations, seems to be a holiday of sorts and they were celebrating with glee. Joshua could barely read what the symbols were but whatever it was the aliens were all happy. He could see the Brutuses patrolling about, the Reptiles moving to help clear the crowds. It was like, they were not any different than humans are when it came to their celebrations. Banshees that were eating animal carcasses. They seem to be particularly enjoying eating a bull's corpse. So it seems they can eat something other than humans. Then he noticed the Bishop of Despair, a Banshee who was clothed in robes that screamed pride in red.
It was not time for the speech, so it was going to be for later. Joshua could sense the Borus just moving about, a Boru was moving in the crowd. Grabbing some sort of welcome drink in a mason jar. Seemed as if they had gotten used to using human items. The aliens were singing praises to the Bishop of Despair. Joshua was wearing the Ashen Wind armor, it seemed as if they cannot feel any sort of magic pressence from One Eyed Emperor's powers.

Vizel, Iacus and Donovan were lying in wait. Rain began to pour but none could see or even feel Joshua's pressence here. Seeing how the Reptiles took umbrellas and rain coats made to their size to shelter their kin from the rain. It made these aliens seem... So human like in a way. Perhaps Joshua was too distraught by anger of the previous attack that he had forgotten... That sometimes these aliens were just... Individuals that were trying to live their day to day lives. Joshua took a moment to contemplate the blood on his hands, and the sadness he has caused to many. Despair was something he had plowed with his hands yet, throughout the despair he made. Joshua was able to rationalize it but could he accept it? He reaped many lives to say many more, but is that justified?
Those were questions that was floating all around Joshua's mind. His thoughts were wondering if he could do this right? And these thoughts circled his mind, spinning his thoughts as Joshua kept watch with Ice Reaper who materialized in its skeletal form. He was looking through the scope of Lee's Resolve. Loading the magazine and looking through the scope. Seeing the Bishop of Despair who was talking about peace to everyone. Discussing about how humans have been wronged. The Ashen Wind helmet was now able to transcribe the details carefully.
"Humans have been wronged. When we came here, we were under the impression that they are primitive and a blight. Yet, spending time with them. It has taught me a few things. They are people of a race who made many things unlike us. Most of us have natural abilities but humans? They invent things to change their environment. Cold, they take two sticks and then rub it until a fire starts. Hard to hunt with hands, they make spears. We made all of this for war, but they made it for their own self conservation." The bishop continued to speak while Joshua put his finger on the trigger, seeing the Boru that was in a building that had a clear view of the Bishop of Despair.
The Boru was readying the railcannon, a single shot would blow through the Bishop of Despair.
"We've got movement."
"I'm taking my shot. Then handle it."
"Yes, Lord." Joshua pulled the trigger, the Borus head exploded. Looks like Bellwitch was right, the rifle was stronger than what it was back then. Joshua put the rifle away and jumped down with Aaliyah's Peacemaker pistol, multiple Borus began to make their way to attack the Bishop of Despair. Putting the pistol aside, Joshua showed them the palm of his hand.
"Ice Prison." Then clenching his hands to a fist, putting the Borus into a cage of ice into them. The other Borus jumped to Bishop of Despair with their plasma swords ,only to clash with Donovan, Iacus and Vizel interrupting them. Donovan shattered the plasma sword with his sword breaker, then driving the longsword into the Boru's head. Headbutting the blade for it to go deeper, then bashing the shield into another Boru. Iacus was parried the blade, diverting the plasma sword to another direction. A quick thrust to the neck, then pushing his hand forward to slit the Boru's throat. Vizel was doing what he does best, snapping his fingers as white roses blanketed the area.
"The Ashen Devil!" The Bishop of Despair shouted, then looking at the Borus to realize what had transpired.
"We received an anonymous tip that you were about to be attacked. I don't know who sent it. If you truly speak of peace Bishop. you should take measures to ensure that you do not die or be hurt as a result of actions by the other Bishops that do not share your sentiment. I did not come here to kill you Bishop. I came here to see if there was truth in your words. For if mankind were to exist with yours, we have a lot that needs to be done. We've lived in fear and strife for so long, it is hard to believe that you can ever be peaceful." Joshua said the words to the Bishop.
"I lost my family to your kind. I've killed families as revenge and many humans think the same. But there's too much bad blood between all of us. If you truly believe in the call for peace you speak off. That bad blood will stay for generations to come and we may never be able to out live it. This path we take, will involve the individuals after our passing. The blood is remembered, if you truly wish to end this war. We will have to convince the others that peace is an option." Joshua added on.
"I know... I am aware... You killed researchers and many things but... I understand because of what we've done to your kind. It.. It is barbaric even for my kind. Do you wish to kill us?"
"if you believe in peace. Then maybe not. Seeing how the others are today, it gives me a reminder that you are the same as humans. Individuals that should not be defined by your race. Yet this war was fought because of our race issues. If they choose peace, I will fight for peace and if we have peace one day. Then I will gladly welcome you to earth." Joshua answered as he holstered the pistol.
"Thank you, Ashen Devil. What is your name?"
"Jane... Just call me Jane." Joshua said as he faded away with Vizel's white rose petals that scattered all around. it was a way to leave and the next step, was to convince Shane of this possible alliance.
