Joshua was finding himself in an odd state. He was just sitting in the center of the darkness. Just thinking about the people that he had failed to save. The many faces, as blood blanketed their bodies. Joshua kept that resentment to himself, keeping the blade by his hands.
He'll keep this resentment. He'll keep this anger. There will be no words.
Resolution.
The resolve to kill all that threatens humanity.
Never forget this Young Lord
For the many lords and gardens of thorns.
They will stay by your side.
For they understand the resolve to kill all those that harm your kind.
Joshua woke up to find Klaudia by his side. The 5 Guild Leaders were present sitting in the room.
"We've heard. 151 and the One Eyed Emperor explained what had happened. Turns out there's a lot of things we don't know. Other worlds, that want to attack us. Only those with the Unique Classes have been informed. That and we've been getting more reports elsewhere." The General said as he stroked his beard.
"Sorry. I... I couldn't protet them." Joshua said.
"It's not just you. The entire world lost a chunk of its Venerators. So the Unique Class of Venerators have been alerted and our systems have been stating that we will be meeting against beings known as Avatars. I met the Lady of Peace... She... She's not peaceful." Lady said with a sigh.
"We had a few fights with them and they told us that we were lacking. It changes how we see things." Jun said with a sigh, then looking at Joshua.
"I fought against the Avatar of Destruction." Joshua said to them.
"I see. They did say that the world's are now colliding with invaders that wish to bring forth an end to ours... It makes me wonder, how much more do I need to learn?" The General asked.

"There is much that you all can learn." They turned to see the Chairwoman Lee walking in.
"Now that it has come to this, I need to inform you. Joshua from this point onwards, I will push your rank to S. You will be given charge of a guild, so will Klaudia. To create our next group of S-Ranks. The 5 Guild Leaders, you will be undergoing training with the 5 SSS ranks to get you at your best. At best the 5 SSS ranks have fought against these otherworldly invaders. Now, they've become more daring. The Chairman of the Unions of the world held a meeting. We will be having special subjugations and the moment it involves a Black Spire that takes on Civilian lives. We'll be sending only those with the special classes. Joshua, being a Guild Leader. I will exempt you from the requirement of having the head count. Your familiars will act as part of the Head Count." Klaudia opened her eyes as she heard everything that the Chairwoman had said.
"By becoming Guild head, you have to deal with a lot of the management aspect but I believe you both have Familiars and Companions to deal with that. This will be effective immediately, I will prepare the listing to your guilds. What will your name be?" Joshua thought about it.
"Midnight Wind." Joshua said, which had people raising their eyebrows to that name.
"The Midnight Wind was the only thing that made me feel better in those nights where I stood alone. There was nothing else, especially in Mulligan. Cold, but it reminded me that I'm alive." Joshua said as he got out of bed, only to see the 7th Vizel walking over to Joshua with a bouquet of black flowers.

"Lord. The flowers from the Herald." They watched as Joshua ate the flowers, chewing them.
"So is the herald still screaming?"
"Yes, he is screaming. There is no way for anyone to free the seal, it seems that the Avatar of Destruction had granted you another blessing. The 'Unbreakable Thorns' as a means to stop anyone from breaking it." Joshua continued to eat the flowers that Vizel had brought.
"Good. Just keep him there, I want his very being to be destroyed. It's payback for him since he just killed humanity like it was a toy." Joshua spoke up as he ate the flowers. Eating the flowers was part of it, Joshua was thinking about what to do next to the Herald. The habit of eating flowers that bloom from the corpses of his enemies, it was going to be a new habit that Joshua was going to nurture.
Joshua got up, where they see the Coat of Crimson covered his body.
"Lord?" Vizel asked.
"I need to fight against the Avatar of Destruction's Past Lives." Joshua answered.
"Iacus." Iacus appeared by Joshua's side, kneeling to Joshua.
"Handle the documentation. I'll need to face the Avatar of Destruction's past lives alone." Joshua said, as he vanished from sight, where Iacus turned to Chairwoman Lee who gave the documents to him.
"Will he be alright?" Klaudia asked Iacus who was unsure of what to say.
"I do not know, Noir Dancer. All I know is that he is grieving, and that he will need time to sort this out." Iacus said.
Joshua was back in Mulligan, but he went to where Vayakis was hearing the herald scream as Joshua began to eat away the flowers that bloomed. Seeing Vayakis's body grow thinner with each flower that blooms. Joshua then proceeded to stand where the graves of swords were. Seeing one of Kael's past step forth to fight him.
Joshua needed some time to release his own thoughts. And this was it.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

English isn't my main language either, so if you see any mistakes regarding grammar or anything else, please inform me. I don't plan on ending this fiction anytime soon, but due to school and work I may not have time to write chapters on a frequent base. Btw later on there may be Romance included, so I will put these into the categories, but don't expect anything sexual to happen in the first few chapters.
