"I'll take Iana." Klaudia said, charging straight to Iana. Klaudia was serious she pushed Iana away from where Joshua and Vayakis stood.
"Time to kill you, humans deserve to die after all!" Vayakis drew a blade, vanishing from Joshua's sight. Only to be countered by Joshua's Brilliant Ash, Joshua pushed Vayakis back. But he did take a bit of damage.
'-50 HP' the pop up showed him.
"Oh... Now it seems you ca-" Joshua pushed him back and blasted fire magic at Vayakis who took the blow without much thought. The barrier he made had protected him.
"You impudent human!" A slash headed Joshua's way, it got negated which gave Joshua the chance to slash Vayaki's arm and kicking it back.
"System updated. Vayakis's health is at 150,000,0000 HP. Slash damage was negated. Bleed damage activated." Joshua read from the system as he sheathed his blade. Needing to switch out to something else. There's just too much power here, Joshua swapped to Ashen Phoenix.
"Ah... So you want to use that pitiful sword? How cute. You are barely scratching its p-" Joshua slashed through Vayakis's arm, watching it fly into the air. Only to see him regrow another limb quickly, it filled up a portion of his heatlh. The cut did take at least 250 thousand worth of HP but now its back to normal?
'System is readjusting. The system has reached its proper situation with your current body.. Avatar of Destruction's Sworn Rival activated.' Joshua charged ahead, he was going to take the offensive, slashing Vayakis's leg.
"How... How!? Hu-" He slashed Vayakis's head, and then struck the blade to the target. Only to see the body vanish.
'Target is not dead, target is in another area. It is a deceptive type.' Joshua turned back to watch as a gigantic foot crushed the fortress. Then it vanished, Joshua quickly went over to see, seeing the damage. 151 was on the ground, getting back up to look to the right. Seeing quite a few humans that had been flattened. Joshua found a dying Jordan, he went closer. Jordan was coughing, Joshua was using the potions. Trying to help Jordan. Jordan's child and wife were right beside him. They were dead, so were the many humans in here. The Goliaths that tired to protect them couldn't handle most of it. They were out of commission but, Joshua could not say anything or even say much. All that he was seeing was the ruin in this place. There were a few humans that remained alive, roughly 200 of them.

'Potion failed.'
"Barakas, can you heal them?"
"I can't Lord. It's far too much damage." Joshua looked at Alpha 1 who was trying to help the others. Joshua looked at Jordan that grabbed his hand.
"It's okay... Hey... You're a good fighter you know that. It's too late for me... Just save the others." Jordan said, putting his A/5 tag in Joshua's hands. Going away with silence but with a smile. Where the demons, angels and nephilim made their way to the fortress.
"Joshua go!" Joshua turned to see Alpha 1 who had his head sliced off. The other Venerators... The 200 that came in, was just reduced to just Joshua and Klaudia. 151 was on his knees. Joshua was struck in the back by a blow. He was now watching the remaining 200 humans about to be killed. He was powerless once again, watching the demons kill the remaining humans and they looked at Joshua.
"How does it feel to be powerless?"
Joshua heard a demon speak up to him, his body felt numb and Joshua got back on his feet and he drew Ashen Phoenix. Joshua's familiars? They were all gone, not dead but his mana pool was zero and there was a timer lock. The Four Ancients were crushed as well.
"What can you do agai-" The heads of demons, angels and nephilims flew into the air. Joshua was not going to speak, no screaming, no sound. He wasn't breathing at this point, it was like his body was moving like a corpse. The glowing eyes were all they could see. Their limbs were slashed, their mouths moved. Yet, all they could feel was pure... Unadulterated violence within Joshua. It was like they were not seeing a human being fight, it was something else, nobody to rescue. Nobody to save, Joshua was done. His mind was broken, it was another tragedy. He had the power to fight but he could not save anyone. 75 thousand non-combatants died. Joshua went on ahead. The voices of the three factions were gone.
The blood splashed all over him, yet Joshua did not bother. An angel had stabbed Joshua and created a barrier to contain him. He shattered it, then he pulled the knife and grabbed the angel by the head, where they watched as the Mask of Thorns turn into something else. The flowers formed a twisted smile to the jaw as Joshua screamed into the angel where they watched its flesh and body be sucked into the mask. He continued with his onslaught. Killing was the only thing on Joshua's mind, he could not rescue people. They died, but he was going to make sure every single one of them feel it.
He made up his mind, whatever that has threatened humanity deserves to die. Joshua grabbed a nephilim by the head, where they watched the thorns cover the nephilim fully. Where the thorns exploded, striking the ones nearby and sucked them in. The thorns spiraled unto their bodies, where they experienced fear in its truest form. Joshua was going to kill them all. Their families, their children and whatever that was related to them. The angels, demons and nephilim tried to speak, only for flowers to bloom from within their bodies. Turning them all into husks as flowers bloomed from their wounds. Sucking them all to dry as Joshua lifted his mask and looked at the flowers, the black roses that had bloomed.

He ripped it out and ate the roses. Where it helped him find a few things, one of it being that they had villages here. They had places, which Joshua had thought about what to do next. Kael was right, best be cruel to your enemies as well. Joshua then picked up the earpiece and put it in.
"Alpha 1? Alpha!? What is going on?" Joshua heard General's voice.
"Everyone's dead general. Unknown enemy type just used a giant foot to crush everything else. It's just me and Klaudia. We've failed to rescue the people. Klaudia engaged one of them. Don't let anyone in the Spire. I'm going to go kill them." Joshua said.
"Understood.."
"I'm sorry General." Joshua said as he put the earpiece away. This time making his way to the demonic village that they had set up, where they were celebrating their win. They had believed to have won, so Joshua made his way to it. Without being detected. He was wielding Ashen Phoenix, the tachi was useful and it's large size made it easy for Joshua to do what he needed. This time, he was going to take a page out of Kael's book. Killing every single one of them.
The demon's did not see him, and that was just how he wanted it. Joshua walked into the town and he readied Ashen Phoenix. Looking at a family of 5 demons, then they realized Joshua stood in front of them. Joshua went straight for the children, slashing them to pieces before the parents. Their screams filled the air, the others were alerted to Joshua's pressence but that did not help with the misery of the parents. Whom Joshua put to rest with a single slash. Then flowers began to bloom from their corpses as Joshua picked a flower up and ate it. There was no need for words, his despise for them was far beyond words. Now, none will be spared. Joshua began his onslaught by slaughtering the hundreds of non-combatants first. Ashen Phoenix's sharpness was enough for Joshua to just push the blade through and not needing much energy or technique to slash it through.
The demonic warriors tried to take the fight to him, yet all they could feel was fear and anger. They charged at him, swinging their blades frantically. Desperate like animals trying to survive. Not one was spared, Joshua slashed a demon baby in half before its mother's eyes. Then strangling her with the other hand. Watching the thorns from his left hand pierce into her skin and forming flowers over her eyes.
"You! You -" Joshua went straight for the neck, grabbing it as he tore the demon's head and with the spine intact. Then swinging to the right, where turned another demon into a fountain of blood. There is nothing to quell his rage and this will not be the end. The slaughter of this town, leaving the demons as corpses and eating the flowers from the corpses.
Joshua took a moment, sitting down on his butt as he grieved for the people that died. They died because he was weak. They died because Vayakis. There is no way that Joshua was going to let that slide, he's going to make Vayakis suffer and he's not going to let the bastard die with a swing. That'd be too nice, he was going to cut through everything.
Zephyr came from below, as Joshua made his way to the Nephilim village next. He was going to repeat the massacre, and leave the nephillim as nothing but corpses. Eating the flowers of the corpses? That was something Joshua did not understand what he did but he somehow did it anyway.
Perhaps another bad habit that he has, but Joshua will take this over smoking.
Eating flowers from enemy corpses gives random stat bonuses.
Stat bonuses can only be seen when the entire ordeal has been dealt with.
Eating enough flowers mya boost stats accordingly.
This only works when enemies are from another world.
You can also leave enemies as a plant for you to harvest forever if needed.
Turning enemies into a plant provides better nutrition and will inflict torture enough to break a God.
This was done by the 7th Lord of Thorns against a God that attacked his planet. THat said god is now a tree within Mulligan, but it has to be identified first.
Joshua smirked. The sound of such a thing was interesting, he may use Vayakis as a means to grow or better yet, turn Vayakis into a plant. Joshua liked that proposition and maybe this outsider... Is a God?

Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
