Joshua arrived watching Iacus throw daggers at the skeleltal Lichts that were bringing forth more demons to their path. Donovan pushed a demon knight back and bashed its head in with the shield. Alpha 1 was finishing up his ammunition, wielding a knife. Looking at the other members that were getting tired.
"Damn... I... I can't go -" An arrow struck one of the Iron Guard members, blowing the head open which caused tendrils to pull a few of the other members in. Then it destroyed them with ease. Alpha 1 picked up the sniper rifle of one his dead teammates. Seeing the demonic archer smiling at him. They were surrounded and they were all tired. Ice Reaper was on his knees. Ferno was unconscious and Lugasa bleeding from the many other undead werewolves that struck him.
10 dead, and Alpha 1 had to pay the responsibility for it. Then hearing a horse's neigh from the distance. The demons, vampires, undead werewolves and the skeletal army turned. There were spirits that had possessed the members of the Venerators, slowly they were succumbing to the effects.
"By my unholy hands will I send you all to hell and pay retribution for the dead!" A loud roar followed by a shotgun blast. The spirits were purified within an instant. Then a tomahawk struck the head of the archer. Joshua arrived as he looked at the Assault Works who had no ammo in their hands, the weapons of the Iron Guard and Blade Sanctuary had dulled. The mana of the Apocalypse Raiders had finished.
"We will pull through." Joshua said to them as he took out ammo for them, potions and weapon stones.
"Drink up, and prepare yourselves." Joshua said.
"So you think that having three people will make the difference?! You naive hu-" The vampire's head exploded, the shot came from Mitchell.
"Vampires talk too much. Alec!" Mitchell shouted as he leaped above to the path of the vampiric soldiers and knights. Alec flipped into the air, blasting off the shotgun shells as Mitchell fired the magnums. It pushed the horde back a few meters where Mitchell and Alec stood with their backs facing each other.
Bumping elbows as they raised their hands. Mitchell's left hand and Alec's right.
'Vampiric Combat Skill Activated : Children of Hale.' They watched as blood swarmed the entire area, blanketing the horde and demons.
"Wait... Wait... Why!? You both are vampires! Why are you joining the humans!? Do you not see them as weak?!"

"We are the sons of Hale. Did you forget that he was the one who ended the wars between humanity and the undead!?" Mitchell and Alec's chant caused the horde to be swallowed up the spiral of blood, then they see a huge line across the sky. Followed by a huge eye that gazed down upon them.
"Kiss my ass." Alec spoke as all of the undead vanished. The 10 Venerators that died were approached by Mitchell and Alec, who looked at their bodies. Krieg was staring at their souls.
"Nothing much can be done here. If we leave them alone, they'll just be a mess. I will put them to rest." Krieg said as he put his weapon aside, then taking out a book.
"Oh Maybellestra. These souls are brave humans from another realm, brave souls that fought for their kind and people. Though they have perished, their souls are not at ease. Your humble servant begs of you, to bring them the peace that they deserve." Krieg chanted on the many verses of the said Goddess, and the souls faded. Where their corpses reformed to be human with smiles on their faces.
"They've been put to rest. Now there's more to it. Putting them to rest is all we can do." Alpha 1 cried as he knelt, praying for them.
"I'm sorry. I messed up. Now some of the Iron Guard lost its members and some of my own."
"No point blaming yourself. This place isn't meant for your kind." Krieg said.
"Believe me when I say, I worked with a battalion of a thousand and yet, here I am. The one who bears their guilt." The words by Krieg sounded sincere, placing his hand by Alpha 1's shoulders.
Detecting an anomaly. An anomaly.
Anomaly.
CORRECTION THREE ANOMALIES.
Joshua turned to see Kael who walked in with a cigar along with two others. A figure wielding a Dane axe and another one with a cane.
"Looks like you've got your hands full with Soggorin." The one with the cane spoke, where Krieg, Mitchell and Alec knelt before him.
"Your Excellency." The figure with the cane didn't look any younger than 20, yet Joshua could not understand why the three of them are here, and especially Kael.
"Hey, we'll deal with the bastard. Sheesh, it seems like a bunch of demons and angels are trying to mess with the worlds again." The one with the cane spoke with a casual sigh, then taking a swig from his flask.

"Master." Ice Reaper knelt before Kael.
"Good to see you too, Ice. Now this is no intervention. It's just us stepping in. Take a look at your friends." The 10 figures came back to life, gasping for air. Where they see a woman with a lantern smile to them. She wore a black dress and had a parisol by her side. The 10 Venerators hugged their friends and teammates. Crying tears of joy.
"Maybellestra. Goddess, why are you here?" Krieg asked the woman with the lantern.
"Simple, this was a mistake that was made because Soggorin escaped his containment. So these 10 men should not die on mistakes made by Gods that failed them." The woman spoke, the spirits of the ones that were still sane made their way to her.
"Yes, yes... You will all be put to rest. I came to this place because of the many things that needs to be clarified. See this through you lot. Avatars?" Kael walked over to Joshua, patting his shoulder.
"Alpha 1?" Joshua asked, seeing the Venerators glanced at Joshua then glanced back at Alpha 1. Giving off a nod.
"I'm relinquishing my command to Joshua. Lead us." Alpha 1 said where their status screen popped up.
The Lord of Thorns shall command you, by granting him such right.
Your morale will be unbreakable. Along with following traits.
Avatar of Destruction : Destruction of Worlds (Increases damage potential by 75% and critical hit chance by 50%)
Avatar of Fall : Darkness's Friend (Dark elemental attacks will cause tendrils to pull objects to hurt the intended target)
Avatar of War : Unyielding Valor (Experience Combat Frenzy, increases reload speed for firearms, swing speed and damage permanent increase with multiplier of 5.)
Soggorin will fall.
The Venerators accepted where Joshua turned to see the three Avatars put on their combat armors.
Iacus and Donovan stood by Joshua's side, ready for orders. Raizel appeared out of nowhere, looking at the three Avatars.
"I greet the Avatars of Destruction, Fall and War." The three Avatars bowed to Raizel.
"Lead us, oh Tome. You know where Soggorin hides." Kael spoke to the Tome where the Tome showed that Soggorin was hiding directly below them but there were thousands of the legions that served Soggorin.
"That's... We were struggling with just a few hundred... They're coming by the thousands!?"
"We'll handle the Undead. You've been given our blessings." Avatar of Fall spoke to them, readying his cane as he looked at Kael.
"So roughly a few thousand of the undead and unholy. There's one way to do it." Kael said as the Avatar of Fall and War stepped out for the magic circle that formed beneath them.
"Going down." Kael snapped his fingers as the entire floor caved downwards. They were being lowered down slowly while everything else was being caught by it. The screams of the legion was heard by everyone else as the reached a place where only darkness existed.
The light being emitted by Soggorin's true form, the gigantic head that was constructed of human body parts, mouth that housed their heads.
"Child of man... You dare to intrude in my domain?!" Soggorin shouted, his voice alone was enough to cause ear drums to bleed and burst, leaving some of the Venerators in a state of confusion. They fell to their knees because of the power in the voice.
Kael turned away from them and cracked his fingers.
"Soggorin's yours. I'll handle his legions." Kael said as the horde of named demons went to his path. Drawing out a card.
"The World, bound the ones before me and the leader of these demons." The card exploded, trapping Soggorin with the Venerators.
"Try not to die." Kael said as he snapped towards the horde before him. Where they instantly were vaporized from existence.
Joshua readied his pair of blades, Krieg reloaded his weapons. Alec and Mitchell were checking the magazines of their pistols. Iacus and Donovan were standing by Joshua's side, Ice Reaper was floating behind him. Ferno perched on Joshua's shoulder, Zephyr came from below and Lugasa was covering his body in his family's name.
Alpha 1 readied his rifle, the other Venerators got back on their feet. Taking in potions to heal their bodies. The Iron Guard readied their shields, the Blade Sanctuary members drew their swords and the Apocalypse Raiders readied their elements. It was going to be a tough fight even with the new additions.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.

Author's note:This is an old version that has been completely dropped in favor of a new and better version. I have learned a lot from written this instance, but I believe the work has been subpar and I can do much better with the story and the premise I have devised. I will be posting the new version on a different page.
