《The Wizard's Tower》Chapter 6: Let's Get This Party Started!

“Don’t you think we should invite more people?”
“What?”, Ian turned to Ria casually hanging from the ceiling, “More people?”
Ria nodded, “I mean this towers not as big as the other one, but it’s still pretty big we have a lot of room to spare.”
“There’s plenty of people in the tower as it is you know, why don’t you play with your daughter's you’re their mother aren’t you?”
“Them?”, Ria turned to one of her daughters quietly reading a book in the corner, “Well I might be their mother, but they’re more like my clones you know?”
Homunculi were one of the many artificial races birthed in times of war, they were designed to serve as living weapons, cannon fodder, and as a means to relieve the soldiers of the battlefield. It was, for this reason, most Homunculi are women, not only could they help alleviate the burdens of war, but by replicating a woman's reproductive system it was possible to mass produce Homunculi more efficiently.
“Besides there’s not much I can teach them anyway, it's all in their genes.”
“...”
Cathy opened the doors and walked in sitting on another one of Ria’s daughters. She looked up and said, “Why don’t we bring in some Chimeras?”
“Huh? Chimeras? What for they’ll just destroy the place?”
Cathy waved her finger in the air, she was becoming more lifelike as the days passed by mimicking the likes of Ria, and Ian and by going out to watch people with one of Ria’s daughter every now and then.
“You underestimate the old master, naturally his Chimeras possess a certain level of intelligence. Come on I’ll show you?”
Cathy snap her tiny fingers, and suddenly the room changed to an incredibly dark room and Ria fell from the ceiling as her foothold disappeared.
“Hey! A warning would have been nice.”
“It’s not like you would have died”, Cathy turned to Ian, “Come on Master.”
Ian sighed, “You guys...can’t you just, I don’t know, sit still for a day?”
“”For years””
“What?”
“Come on~”
Ian sighed, “Fine”
Cathy raised her hand and a ball of light appeared lighting the room, she flew over a to a metal door and opened it. “Follow me”
The two of them followed as Cathy flew by a number of cells each with their own grotesque and deformed monster. There were slimes, some skeletons, weird lizards, a chicken, monsters that looked like some sort of messy patchwork, and monsters with several heads.
These monsters upon seeing the three of them enter began trying to claw at them, grab one of them, or bite one of them. Some of them began charging at the iron bars of their cells only to be inexplicably sent flying back.

Ian turned to the cells and asked, “Are you sure we’re safe?”
“Of course! These cells are made from a special type of volcanic rock reinforced to withstand any sort of attack. As for the bars depending on the cell, it’s either made of Frost Iron, Truesilver, a Mithril Alloy, or simply steel. The bars are also enchanted with several spells, and there's a life-sustaining barrier covering each cell. There’s no way any of them can get out on their own, or even kill themselves if they felt like it.”
“That’s kind of twisted.”
“The old master wasn’t exactly what I’d call a nice guy.”
“Clearly”
Cathy laughed, “Well over here this is where the old master locked away some of the more dangerous and more intelligent monsters.”
Cathy lead opened a door at the end of the hallway of cells, and it revealed a massive room with three massive cells. A voice suddenly called out, “Oh we have guests? How rare.”
A loud clacking sound could be heard as a figure walked closer and closer. Cathy raised her hand and the ball of light flew towards the ceiling and illuminated the room revealing the figure before them
“Welcome,” a horse with six legs suddenly appeared, “You may call me Mr. BoJack.”
Ian backed up, “What in Gods name is that!”
“How rude! Have you never seen a centaur before?”
Ria commented, “Like hell, you’re a centaur. Centaurs are half-man, half horse. You’re like one and one-half of a horse.”
Mr. BoJack made a cold snort, “Hmph, uneducated plebs let me enlighten you.”
“Can I kill him?”
Ian shook his head, “No”
“I am Mr. BoJack the one and only Half-centaur, half-horse!”
Ian turned to Cathy, “This is one of the most dangerous and intelligent monsters here?”
“Supposedly.”
“Hmph,” a cold voice spoke from behind them, “Mr. BoJack how impudent! You think you’re above them? You’re nothing but a horse! A stupid horse!”
Ian turned around and there before him was…
“You think you’re better! If it weren’t for the barrier I’d pry open these bars with my bare hands and kill you!”
A humanoid cockatrice! Its head was that of a rooster, and his body was mostly covered in pure white feathers. There was a long red skin that drooped down from his neck, and it almost looked like he was wearing it like some tie. While his bottom half was that of a man's, yet protruding from his rear was a snake.
The cockatrice’s eyes grew red and he screeched, “You think you can kill me, King Cock!?”
“Cathy…”
“Oh, would you two shut the hell up!”
Another voice yelled out, Ian turned to his left and before him was a giant bat that was chained up. His wings were massive and it almost spanned the massive cell he was locked away in. He seemed to be treated particularly different, his cell had writing sprawled everywhere and he was the only monster that was chained.

“And you are?”
“Hmph, like an Orc like you needs to know! But as benevolent as I am, I will enlighten you! I am Batman!”
Ian turned around. “Ria, Cathy we’re leaving.”
Ria turned around, “But we just go here! We could at least free one of them, they’ve probably been here for years!”
“I just...you know what, go ahead.”
Ian walked away, and down through the dark hallways. Ria turned towards Cathy and said, “Does he know where he’s going?”
“Probably not.”
Ria walked over to the cell with the giant bat, and asked, “So how are we supposed to free these guys? I can’t exactly tear open these cells.”
“Well since master has given the go ahead I should be able to do something about it”
Cathy raised her hand and the cells began to shine brilliantly. The chains binding massive bat disappeared as well as all the bars. The three monsters looked at each other and slowly walked out of their cells.
The humanoid cockatrice turned towards the two of them, “So what does that old bastard have in store for us now?”
“Nothing?”
“Hmmm?”
“The old man’s dead.”
All three of them turned towards Ria, and exclaimed, ““What!””
Cathy nodded her heads, “That Orc mumbling in the back is the new master.”
Mr. BoJack turned towards Cathy and asked, “Then who are you two? And what exactly is that Orc planning?”
The massive bat glared down the hallway Ian disappeared into, “Not even that old man could perfectly control all of us, and yet he’s released us without even forming an oath or attaching an obedience collar. Does he really think he’s almighty just because he defeated the previous master?”
Ria raised her hand, “Actually, this was my idea.”
“Huh?”
King Cock turned to Ria, “And you are?”
“I’m R-1A, the one and only perfect Homunculus in existence. But you can call me Ria, I’ve rather taken a liking to that name surprisingly.”
“Just what are you planning?”
Ria smiled bashfully, “Nothing really, I just felt like we should spice things up a little more. Stay with us for a while, things are bound to get interesting real soon. What do you say?”
The three of the monsters looked at each other hesitantly, when Mr. BoJack stepped forward, “Very well, we owe you our lives. I’ll play along.”
King Cock step forward, “I too owe you a great debt, I too shall come.”
The giant bat sighed, and transformed into a normal sized bat, “I’ve no intention of playing along with your shenanigans, but I’ve not the fact to return home. I shall join you, but not as a participant, but a spectator.”
“Very well then,” Cathy turned around and flew through the hallway, “I’ll go fetch our master.”
…
Ian walked into his bedroom and lied down on his bed. He heaved a heavy sigh as he thought about the events that transpire in this little tower of his every day. Cathy and Ria would always be up to something, cooking up a scheme. While the three monsters would go about doing whatever they pleased, getting drunk, fighting, destroying the golems, terraforming the landscape.
There was hardly any peace and quiet anymore. And it was all mentally exhausting. Luckily Ian possessed the herculean strength and stamina of an Orc otherwise he might have collapsed of fatigue, though the stress it’s been giving him was nothing to scoff at either.
“Must be tough”
Ian turned his head and the eccentric crow who named itself Birdy McBirdface was once again on his window. Birdy McBirdface would often visit and play with the three monsters, or take the time to bother him.
“Well unfortunately for you pal, it’s not getting any easier anytime soon.”
Birdy McBirdface turned his head, and in the distance was a giant raven as big as a truck flying towards the tower. Atop this raven was a black haired man with a giant book, in simple travelers clothes.
Suddenly, Ian received a telepathic message from Cathy, “Master! We’ve got an intruder incoming! He’s dangerous!”
Ian sighed and got up walked up the stairs to the top of the tower. When he got there everyone except for Ria’s daughters was present and staring at the giant raven flying in. Ian looked around and noticed that Birdy McBirdface had flown up as well, so he asked him, “A friend?”
Birdy McBirdface laughed, “Never seen him.”
Everyone turned to look towards the giant raven when suddenly it disappeared in a puff of smoke, and a voice said behind them, “What a reception!”
In shock, everyone jumped back. King Cock pulled out some of his feathers and held them in his hands while the snake protruding out of his rear glared at the man at attention. Mr. BoJack inexplicably pulled out a bow and a quiver from who knows where. While Ria extended her nails to a razor point like she did when she first met Ian.
The black haired man smiled in response, “Oh I love parties!”
