《The call in the night, OneShots collection》The island without moon

The moon had gonne away as the stars, the water became quiet and dark, the depths not so deep, upon this wreck of a ship I reached shore.
I don’t remember how, in strange and chaotic moments, my ship was attacked. I just remember that when I managed to make sense of my thoughs I found myself dirty and on a ship. A little ship unadeguate to long travels, with barely any supplies.
The stars were no guides for me. The sun was hot and intense and the moon cold and insensitive, it was like being in hell. But alas my ship hitted shore on a land with no stars nor moon. The earth was dark and wet, the trees, if we want to call trees what was not, were contorted and of form not unlike some abrasct sculpure.
I walked a long way before a castle, yes a castle, appearead before me. It was magnificient giving no signs of ruins what so ever. The entrance was open so I entered and found no living thing inside, not an animal or plant. Everything seemed immobile and frozen into place. The air was slightly cold and the wind was immobile when I opened a door to somewere inside the castle and yet found nothing. I looked around and around and yet this castle of unkown origin made of stone and brick gave no access to me. It’s hall were denied to me.
Through sheer fortune I found an old book laying on the ground, a little tiny book. I readed the first pages of it, it talked about plants and someone had made notes on the margins, saying were those plants could be taken on the island.
I still wondered a long time before finding something else interesting. There was a hall, a dinning hall and it was full of food, the most precious of food uncorrputed by time. It was delicious if albeit I am still confuse at how it was still so flesh.

I arrived at a room that was like a library, but not exactly. There were books, many books, but no shelves. They were trow here in there as case dictated. I readed an open one and found it of the most horrible and horrific subjects, some things are better left in the memory, were it can die forever, not on the written page that may last for all ages to come. Still much confused I wondered a bit around the halls and noticed a shiver running through my spines when I came near a certain room.
I entered it, it was a beautiful room richly decorated to be sure. And yet I found something strange in it, a dark crystall of a type that I never saw sitting on the throne. I touched it curious and felt strange a strange sensation, my vision became confused. I started seeing strange things, the stars re-apperead, my thinking and thoughs became non-sensical. I was overhelm by a force which I can’t describe.
When I waken up I was again on my ship, having realize that I saw and went were I no man shouldn’t have.
The end.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

For You, I Would Forsake The World
This is the story of a person from a desolate and bleak future who dies and reincarnates into a fantasy world of swords and magic and finds meaning in his meaningless existence. -- Notes --- This story is told from multiple povs, I think I've made it obvious when the pov change has happened.- This site doesn't really have a specific tag for it so I'll add it in the synopsis, the romance in this story is incest.- I do all the writing and proofreading, so if you see some mistakes I've missed please point them out.- The beginning is more world-building and setting up the plot and mechanics so don't expect too much action in the first ark.
