《Welcome To Terminus》Chapter 3 - The Awakens

And the moment BOOM was heard, their entire room shook. It was like earthquake has come.
Ashton has no time to thinks as he leaped and covered Matt beneath him, protecting him, and with a KACHAK a large debris fell on top of him.
Ash nearly felt like life seeping out of him and an immense amount of pain came all over his body, but he ignored it as he covered Matt with his all might, ignoring everything.
"Matty, cough cough, are you alright?" Ashton asked as he saw Matt's eyes tightly shut.
"Cough cough y-y-y-yes I am." Replied Matt as he opened his eyes.
"Cough cough what about our chicken wings?" Ashton asked worriedly
Matt speechlessly looked at Ashton.
Alright, no need to ask if Ashton is alright or not. If he still got time to think about chicken wings, then he is absolutely fine.
"Matty our chicken wings. With so many difficulties I brought it here, but now they are gone. Gone forever, wahhhhhhhhhh, my chicken wings, I want them back. Mattyyyyyyyyyyy…." Ashton cried with all of his guts.
"Shut up you fool. Shut your damn mouth." Matt slapped Ashton on his head as he continued "How are you? Can you get up? We need to get out of here."
"No, I am not hurt. It was painful before but now I don't feel any pain." Ashton spoke as he looked at himself. He truly doesn't feel any pain. All the pain suddenly disappeared.
He tried to stood up, and with all his power he made some space and slowly get out, and then gave his hand to Matt and slowly helped him to get out.
The moment Matt got out he started checking Ashton, not believing even a bit as he lifted Ashton's shirt and checked.

He was even ready to open Ashton's pant when Ashton stopped him and slapped Matt's hands away as he mocked "Hey hey hey, bad kid. There lives a monster ok. A nine-year-old man like you can't see 18+ things. Hands off."
Matt gritted his teeth "ARE YOU OPENING YOUR PANT OR NOT???" Like he hasn't seen what's hidden there.
Ashton gulped "I am not lying Matty. Look, I don't have any wounds." As he showed his manly body, still not opening his pant though.
Matt closely checked Ashton's body and truly didn't find any wound. Then he became startled.
He moved his hand in round ways, jumped, checking if it was painful or not. And found that he didn't feel any pain at all, even though he should.
Even though Ashton protected him, but the pressure of Ashton's body, and then the shock of debris nearly made him faint.
He even heard his right-hand cracking but now he was fine. He couldn't feel even a small amount of pain.
Matt frowned "How is this possible? Such a big piece of debris fell on top of us and we don't feel any pain at all."
Ashton just shook his head "Who cares? We are fine. You are fine. So, it's good. Everything's good."
Matt nodded "Let's go outside and check."
Ashton took Matt's hand on his hand as they both looked from the top of the building and nearly fainted.
They couldn't believe what they were seeing. Half of the Sector D was in ruin.
Buildings were fallen, fire was everywhere, boom sound was echoing as the cars were blasting, but the thing which made them nearly piss their pant wasn't that. It was something entirely different.
That were animals. NO. Calling them animals will be an ignorance.

They were monsters. Living, breathing, human's size monsters. Red eyes, dark blue fur, white long fangs, big nails, and they were wolf.
Pack of them. A lot of them. Everywhere they saw, there was a bloodbath.
Wolves eating humans, ripping them in shreds, killing them, and then running away.
They were fast, not waiting for anything, not even fully eating the killed humans. They were just killing, killing, and killing.
It was a massacre.
Ashton and Matt just looked the scene from top of the building.
Silence.
"Matty!" Ashton whispered.
"Yes." Matt replied without looking at Ashton.
"We need to hide." Ashton spoke as he pulled Matt in his hug, getting ready to run.
"Wait Ash! Lie down." Matt shook his body as he with his whole power tried to get out of Ashton's hug.
Ashton gritted his teeth "Matty! We don't have time for this. Not now. Please. I am begging you!!" His eyes were red.
Don't know was it from madness or from sadness. They just were.
Matt didn't listen to Ashton as he got off of Ashton's hug and made him lie on the roof along with himself as he asked "Ash, what the hell is that? Why are they waking up??" as he pointed his fingers towards something.
Ashton controlled his anger as he looked at where Matt was pointing and become stunned.
His face lost all the color.
They were waking up. All of them. All the people that died, killed, massacred, ripped.
They all woke up, and start walking.
Slowly-slowly.
Ashton then saw a scene which nearly made him puke. He hurriedly closed Matt's eyes, not letting him see.
A child.
It was an awoken child who has just one hand, looking harmless, walking slowly, but what he did was so ruthless that it made Ashton feel chill crawling down his spine.
The kid saw a woman inside the car and without batting an eye, he ruthlessly punched the mirror on the car, pulled the woman out, bite her neck, and start eating her.
It all happened so quickly that he doesn't even have a time to think.
Other awaken humans who were nearby followed his lead as they also started eating her. Until there was nothing left.
Matt shook Ashton's hand off as he saw the gruesome sight in front of him but he ignored it as he asked "Have you played 'The awakening' before Ash?"
Ashton slowly looked at Matt with an open mouth and nodded his head.

God sold us out and the world ended... well, sort of. God may have sold us, or at least, our universe but our world didn't end. Instead, the new owners decided to play, and we all know what that means: Monsters, a System, Magic, Cultivation, and, of course, two new moons! Thanks for reading! I appreciate the interest. This is a rough draft and is intended to flesh out some ideas for a novel that I had. Maybe figure out if I want to do this author thing, you know? If you want immediately OP MCs, fights every chapter, a harem, this is not the story for you. Sorry about that. If you're willing to put up with a long growth curve, an MC that doesn't know what he's doing most of the time but is trying his best both to survive and to help his friends survive, you might enjoy the story. I'm just trying to have fun, maybe create something that in a second draft I can sell on the eBook market. If you're not into that, not into providing helpful comments for revisions, hey, that's cool, but do us both a favor and stop reading now. ** Oh, release schedule For the first weeks, I'll be releasing a chapter (1800-3000 words) a day. Following that, I'll be releasing whenever the mood strikes me. If I get some feedback, the mood might strike me more often, hint! hint!
