《World Renewal Project》Prologue 15: True Loyalty

Joshua felt like a total loser, milling around aimlessly after the last bell rang. His father had finally relented and given permission for him to spend the weekend at a friend’s house, but Joshua had no idea which bus she rode. All he could do is wait right outside the entrance of the school for her to find him and show him where to go, and he felt like a total idiot just standing there.
Stand and wait. Wait and stand. Stand some more, and then wait. Apologize like an idiot for blocking traffic. Wave feebly at someone barely known, and then look really stupid, with mouth agape, as the doors shut and the buses drive off while standing there like a complete retard.
Yep! Joshua’s evening of playing ‘village idiot’ was just as fun as he’d always imagined it would be. Now, if only someone…
“Just what are you doing?” Rebecca’s question filled voice brought Joshua out of his self-depreciating reverie, making him jump slightly and blush noticeably.
“Nothing. Nothing at all,” he answered lamely, while feeling like the biggest idiot in the world.
“If you’re waiting for little miss perfect, then you’re going to be here for a while,” Rebecca laughed. “She’s got cheerleading practice for the next hour, or so.”
“I…didn’t know that,” Josh admitted, while trying to hide the truth. “I was just standing here like a lump on a log, wondering what the hell was going on.” Sighing deeply, once again the compulsion to never lie to his eternal companions kicked in, at the most embarrassing time. “And I really don’t like having to always admit the truth to you guys,” he added, for good measure.
“You don’t have to,” Rebecca smirked, wrapping her arms tightly around his, and then snuggling up tight against his side. “You can’t deceive us,” she stressed, “but nothing says you have to tell us everything. The problem comes when you try and cover the truth up with a little white lie.”
“Huh? What’re you talking about?” Turning to look directly into Rebecca’s face, Joshua was obviously puzzled. “Where’d you get an idea like that from?” Joshua’s mind was boggled, wonder if she was a freaking genius, or something! After all, Rebecca had only gained access to the system a few hours ago!
“Olivia explained it to me,” Rebecca chuckled. “She’s really not as loyal, or devoted, as you think. Honestly, I think you should be a little more cautious with her. Olivia is really just all about Olivia.”
“For example,” Rebecca explained, “earlier I mentioned that she had cheerleading practice for the next hour or so. You were probably going to say something sarcastic like, ‘I knew that.’ You didn’t actually know it, so the WRP system stepped in and made you tell the truth, instead of telling a falsehood tome.
“If you’d have just grunted and shrugged your shoulders, nothing would’ve happened,” Rebecca smiled charmingly. “You could’ve changed the subject, or even just not say anything, and the system wouldn’t correct your speech. It’s only when you attempt to say something which you know is wrong, that it forcibly corrects you.”
“And Olivia told you about this?” Frowning heavily, Joshua stared directly into Rebecca’s eyes, peering deeply for any insight they might offer. If Olivia knew something so important, why didn’t she share the knowledge with him? Why share it with Rebecca instead? And why would Rebecca tell him about it anyway? Joshua’s mind was reeling with doubts and confusion.

“Come on,” Rebecca chuckled slightly. Pulling on his arm, she started to drag him slowly back inside the school. “Let’s get out of this cold wind and find some place warm to sit and wait. I’ll let you slide a hand under my shirt and play with my right nipple,” she offered laughingly.
“Huh?” Confused even more now, Joshua didn’t resist at all as Rebecca tugged him back inside and back to one of the private study rooms in the library. Apparently the laundry room was Olivia’s chosen refuge at the school, while the private rooms in the library were Rebecca’s. “Why just the right nipple?” Joshua asked, as he plopped down into the nearest chair to the door.
“Oh, that’s just for points,” Rebecca snickered, as she turned and locked the door behind her. Moving to stand beside Joshua’s chair, she smiled teasingly for just a brief moment before pulling her sweater off over her head. As bare boobs bounced lightly in front of him, Rebecca slowly turned and then sat down in Joshua’s lap, resting her back against his chest.
“There’s a repeatable quest called ‘Companion’s Commitment’,” Rebecca explained, as she snuggled back against his arms. “Olivia warned me about it when we were talking this morning. ‘Be careful what you say for the next 24 hours, or so,’ she warned me. ‘The stupid system might give you a few points, but it’ll also stick you with restrictions.’
“Apparently,” Rebecca sniggered, “she’d promised something like you could do whatever you wanted with her, as long as you saved her purity for the prom, and now she’s stuck with that. She literally can’t tell you no, if you want to touch, rub, or enjoy her — no matter when or where that might be.”
“And somehow,” Rebecca smirked, “she seems to think I’d regret making a similar commitment. She doesn’t know me at all,” she chuckled slightly. “I’ll end up offering more than her,” she promised, “but since there’s minor points involved, I’ll do it one step at a time. You’re more than welcome to poke and play with my left nipple anytime you want now,” she offered, slowly moving her rest her arms on her head to give unrestricted access to her chest.
“It sounds like she was just looking out for you,” Joshua told her, as he gingerly eased his arms around Rebecca’s waist. Gently, hesitantly, he slowly moved his hands up to softly cup them around both breasts. “Why’s something like that make you think she’s not loyal?”
“Oh, don’t get me wrong,” Rebecca chuckled. “I’m not saying that Olivia’s disloyal — I’m just saying her loyalty is to herself, first and foremost. Olivia’s all about Olivia. She’s going to do — and not do — whatever is to her best advantage. She can’t lie to you, but she’s already figured out that she doesn’t have to tell you everything, and she’s decided not to tell you about that.
“Doesn’t that ding a warning bell for you?” Rebecca asked. “It does for me,” she assured him. “And you’re welcome to squeeze, kneed, and caress them anytime you want. You don’t have to just hold my tatas; unless that’s just all you’re wanting to do with them right now.”
“So you’re saying I should be careful with Olivia, but I should trust you instead?” Frowning heavily, Joshua really didn’t like what he was hearing. He wanted to be able to trust both girls unequivocally.
“I agreed to this,” Rebecca reminded him. “She didn’t. If it weren’t for you inviting me into this system, I’d have less than three hours left to live. It was 8:38 this morning,” she whispered softly, while trembling slightly, “when I checked the time and had ten hours and twenty-two minutes to live. I’d be dead before supper was over,” Rebecca whispered horsely as she reached down and squeezed his hands tightly, “if it weren’t for you.

“You don’t have to worry about my loyalty at all,” Rebecca asserted firmly. “I’m still in the middle of the twenty-four-hour Companion’s Commitment timeframe. If there’s anything in the world which you want me to promise, commit to, or bind myself to, just tell me. If it weren’t for you, I’d be dead,” she stressed once again. “Every breath from tonight onwards is all thanks to you. I’ll never forget that,” Rebecca promised.
“And with that said,” Rebecca chuckled slightly, “you’re welcome to kiss my right nipple, any time you want too. Any where you want too,” she promised.
“Are you really earning a point every time you say something like that?” Joshua asked doubtfully. “Are you certain there’s no limit to how many points you can gather?”
“I can’t be certain,” Rebecca chuckled. “There’s nothing that indicates a limit to the number of times I can make a companion’s commitment, but that’s not to say there’s not a stop-point somewhere. I figure I’ll just make a million little commitments until I just can’t make any, anymore. After all, if this is just a beta-version of Wrap, it might be something we can take advantage of until the glitch is fixed.
“I figure if I can let you rub, caress, stroke, kiss, lick, squeeze, cover, uncover, and bounce each and every little body part I have, I can probably get several hundred minor points,” Rebecca chuckled. “Add in little fetishes like letting you pierce, tattoo, tie up, bind, or unbind all those parts as well, then that’ll be another couple of hundred points. If I wrack my brain and pay attention to what I’m promising, then I can probably fetch as many as a thousand points.”
“All assuming there’s no cap to the number of points you can earn,” Joshua reminded her. As her words relaxed his mind and eased his worries, he slowly leaned forward and softly sniffed her Rebecca’s hair as he allowed his hands to rub and squeeze her breasts uninterrupted.
“There’s that,” Rebecca agreed. “Which is why I mentioned you should tell me of anything you’d like me to commit to, before I accidentally hit some hard limit.”
“And you’d willingly agree to anything I might ask of you, without any complaints?” Joshua pressed, having a hard time believing the level of submission Rebecca was showing and offering in this very moment.
“Try me,” Rebecca challenged. “Demand anything you can imagine from me,” she snorted. “You can see for yourself how committed I’ll be.”
“I… I don’t need to do that,” Joshua assured her, shaking his head slightly from side to side. “I can tell how serious and determined you are.”
“Good,” Rebecca smiled, visibly relaxing in his arms. “I’m serious — whether you can believe it or not,” she stressed. “My life is yours now. Use it however you want. There’s just one thing I’m curious about…” Biting her lip slightly, Rebecca’s voice slowly trailed off without her bothering to finish her statement.
“And what’s that?” Joshua asked, as he leaned forward and gently kissed back and forth across the tip of her ear.
“What exactly is an Eternal Shadow?” Rebecca asked, changing the subject completely. “Is it like a ninja, or something? I’ve got a ton of quests now which I don’t even know how to proceed with.”
“When I titled you,” Joshua chuckled, “I was thinking of some sort of almost invisible sneak who could hide their presence from everyone else and just be there for me. A personal ninja. Or spy. Or an assassin, or thief, or such.”
“Well, I guess that explains it,” Rebecca sniggered softly. “I’ve got quests for hiding, concealment, stalking, sneaking, lock picking, and all sorts of odd little things like that. Now the only question is how do I learn those so I can improve them and earn points from the quests?”
“You can probably buy the first rank in the skills for just a single user point,” Joshua told her. “I purchased a level in martial arts for Olivia like that.”
“You can sniff my right nipple anytime you want,” Rebecca chuckled, apparently inspired by his smelling her hair. “And that doesn’t work,” she frowned. “I’ve earned half a dozen commitment points already, but I can’t buy any skills with them.”
“They’re minor points,” Joshua stressed, “not user points. You can only spend those for really minor changes to yourself. For example,” Joshua chuckled, “you could get rid of the hair on your legs or get rid of your dislike for spinach.”
“So, there’s really no reason to amass a thousand of them?” Sighing deeply, Rebecca sounded extremely disappointed.
“Maybe, maybe not,” Joshua told her, as he gently kissed across the tip of her ear again while gently pinching her nipples with his fingers. “What would you think, if I told you I could probably make a lot of those changes for you already, without you having to spend a single point?”
“Which changes?” Rebecca asked curiously.
“Honestly,” Joshua admitted hesitantly, “and I don’t know why, but I already have a ton of options in my interface which can alter you considerable. Hair length, thickness, color. Boob size, shape — even bounciness! A ton of likes and dislikes… I have options to alter them all,” he whispered, afraid of how Rebecca might respond afterwards.
“Great!” Standing upright, Rebecca turned completely around, facing him fully. Straddling his legs, she sat back down in his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Then I don’t have to worry about you ever finding someone more attractive than me!” Eyes sparkling, she leaned forward and passionately kissed Joshua deeply across the lips.
“Shape me as you want me,” she laughed loudly and freely once she released the deep kiss. “I’ll be the clay in your hands that you can mold however you want!”
“And… And that doesn’t bother you at all?” Blinking stupidly, Joshua was utterly baffled by her reaction.
“Not one bit,” Rebecca laughed. “In fact, I’m looking forward to see what a man’s idea woman might look like.” Eyes twinkling brighter than Joshua had ever seen before on her, Rebecca seemed to be really enjoying the concept. “You can freely change me all you want,” she promised. “Any time. Any where. Any change you want. Dress me. Undress me. Use me for any wild fetish you might imagine! Loan me out to your friends. Rent me to the whole school. Keep me just for yourself — I don’t care. I’ll be yours truly and completely,” she gushed.
“Truly and completely…” Joshua repeated the words, not able to bring himself to accept them. How could anyone give someone else that much control over them?
“Truly and completely,” Rebecca repeated, laughing happily. “Hey WRP! I, Rebecca Thompson, surrender my whole system to my Eternal Lord Joshua Campbell. I give him full access to anything I can access, and I give him full authority to spend and allocate any and all points which I might earn — even any of the companion points. All without any need to ask me or receive any form of verification.”
“Wai… Wait a moment,” Joshua stammered.
“Yes, I’m certain,” Rebecca laughed. Eyes sparkling brightly, she confirmed again, “Yes! Do it!”
“PING! PING! PING!” Several notification windows instantly popped up in front of Joshua’s eyes.
WRP Announcement: Your Eternally Loyal Shadow Rebecca Thompson has become your True Slave, Rebecca Thompson, the Shadow. Would you like to rename her?

System Notification: User System requires update to fully access new functionality. System will reboot and reset during user’s next sleep cycle.
“Wha… What the hell?” Utterly baffled, Joshua absently wrapped his arms around Rebecca’s bare back and pulled her tightly against him, as he struggled to make sense of everything that had suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.
Name her? And she was now a true slave? And he was suddenly godless? But could name himself? Did a name hold some sort of special purpose?
“Crystal Shade,” Joshua told Rebecca. “That’ll be your new, true name from now on, but we won’t tell anyone else. It’s a secret just for us.”
“Crystal Shade,” Rebecca whispered softly, as if she was trying it on, while snuggling tightly against Joshua. “I like it,” she chuckled, squeezing him tightly.
“Lord Diamond Light is my secret, true name,” he whispered gently into her ear. “Only you know it for now, so hold it tight in your heart.” They might be nerdy and lame in other folk’s ears, but Joshua thought they suited his personal style perfectly.
“I’ll guard it with my life,” Rebecca promised him.
“Than… Thanks,” Joshua stuttered embarrassedly, surprised at how serious she was taking his lighthearted flippancy. “Umm… You should probably put your top back on,” he suggested, changing the subject. “Cheer practice will probably be over in just a little while.”
“Probably,” Rebecca agreed. Laughing lightly, she slowly eased up out of his lap and softly swayed her bare chest back and forth in front of his eyes. “Would you like to taste them first though?” She asked, teasingly.
“Certainly!” Smiling broadly, Joshua leaned forward and sucked on first one and then the other nipple before him. Even if the WRP System was some sort of precursor to the end of the world, Joshua couldn’t help but be stupidly ecstatic with the current changes in his life.

Beyond the Veil
Martin's life would never be the same. He somehow survived a massacre by shady men in black, only to discover they were conspiring with the police. What was he going to do now? But where one life ends, another life begins. One that will learn of magic, and the world beyond the veil. This is a complete rewrite of my first story, The World Beyond the Veil. This is not the same story. Not even a single sentence has been copy-pasted from the original fiction. Readers of the original will recognize a lot of elements, but there are more and more differences as the story progresses. The fiction is planned as a trilogy. The first volume is published. Regarding one of the tags:Sexual Content: There are no explicit sex scenes in the story. On the other hand, it is definitely a story meant for an adult audience, with plenty of references to sex and genitalia. If you're not comfortable with that, maybe steer away from this story. I am very interested in feedback. Let me know if you spot a plot hole or something else that seem off to you.

Five years after the Fourth Great Ninja War, in the peaceful Village Hidden in the Leaves, 13-year old Iroko Nakata dreams of surpassing his hero, Naruto Uzumaki, and becoming the ultimate ninja! Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
