After waking up inside of my tent I set up yesterday at my campsite, I continued to head home.

I knew the direction of my house even without a map or compass and so I just headed in a straight line towards my village.

After a couple hours of walking and a bit of jogging, I reached the end of the forest.

I climbed a nearby tree and looked from up high and saw my village in the distance.

I felt emotional at the thought of seeing my family again in a while, I jumped down from the tree and injected as much magic I could into my legs and bolted forward as quick as I could towards home.

In only a couple minutes, I reached my village from the forest, and I slowed down to a walk after entering.

My village wasn’t big, but it was average sized, and it had a market as well which I decided to spend some money to buy some things to bring home including food to make a big meal later.

When I got home, I saw my wife again and I saw my daughter Gabi!

At first, they looked at me confused and I looked at them confused because I didn’t know why they were acting so weirdly towards me.

But then they realized it me, I had physically changed during the time I was gone. I had gotten taller, buffer and overall, I look quite different from how I did before.

When she realized this, Gabi ran to me and jumped at me hugging and clinging onto my legs while my wife was sort of surprised to see me like this and told me that I should’ve let her know beforehand I was coming home.

They seemed to accept the fact that I changed quite quickly.

The house was a bit of a mess as my wife had said she was quite busy lately do to her doing all the housework by herself.

I felt bad leaving her by herself while I was out training and fighting elsewhere.

My wife had asked me if I had ‘cured’ the weird dragon scales that I had and I awkwardly said “no.”

I explained to her a bit of my power, with how I can now control my dragon powers and it’s not an illness. And the change in appearance was also due to the dragon blood I had.

As I was talking, Gabi was there punching my leg and rubbing my muscles, she seemed to be fascinated with my muscles and how I looked now. How cute.

I had also bought a lot of candy and gifts for Gabi which she happily took and ran away to probably stash it before my wife takes it away from her.

While Gabi ran off somewhere, me and my wife had a long talk catching up with each other and discussing recent events.

I was happy to just be back home with my family, I wanted to just forget everything that happened recently, but I knew I couldn’t. We were in a lot of danger.

There were 3 main reasons why I wanted to go back home. The first was of course that I simply missed my family.

But one of the other reasons why I wanted to head back home was to try and convince my wife to move into the capital city with me where it’s safer with William and Briggs.

Our village was on the outskirts of the kingdom region, far from the protection of the city and if a war did break out, we would be one of the first villages to be attacked.

However, my wife was stubborn and when I tried to convince her she told me this was home, she wasn’t going to leave home.

I didn’t tell her everything yet as I would rather not worry her, and I didn’t mention anything about dragons attacking or a war but if I need to then I will have to tell her everything to convince her to come back to the city with me.

I’ll also have to let the other villagers know as well so they can evacuate.

I failed to convince her to come with me today, but I’ll try again another time, I did just come home so I might as well relax.

I made dinner with my wife and we, as a whole family, ate dinner together.

We had a roasted chicken with eggs and a potato stew which we devoured until there was nothing left.

After, we as a family went on a walk around town looking at the setting sun before heading home to bed.

Last night, my wife and I had a good night together sleeping with each other and we woke up refreshed…

My wife told me since I was home, I should help with our farm and help around.

She was very strict on me, on the second day home and she already wants me to start working. She’s aware about my power to extent so she’s taking advantage of it and making me do hard work!

Oh well, farm work isn’t going to be that hard now considering I’m a powerful B rank with dragon blood and powers. Plus, my wife has been working alone all this time so it’s my turn to help her while she rests.

Speaking of dragon powers, a couple days before I headed home, William wanted to talk to me again, so I had headed to his office.

William wanted to ask me about my dragon arms.

I had gained my new dragon claw ability during the battle with the wyvern and William had noticed that when I had… punched his face when I was still mad at him.

He told me to activate it and which I did, and scales appeared over my hands as they grew larger into dragon claws.

William asked me if I could freely control it, and I told him I could. I could transform it back and into a dragon claw at will, I don’t what caused me to gain this ability but suddenly I have it now.

William told me this was a result of a thing called Dragonification.

Well, he told me Dragonification isn’t real thing, but he discovered it and decided to name it that because it’s simple sounding.

Basically, he explained it to me like this; dragons power grow as their mental strength and stability grows.

I nodded at this because he already told me this before.

When a dragon gives birth, it lays an egg and inside that egg is the baby dragon. However, that baby dragon is more like a lizard as it doesn’t have any claws, any scales, teeth, or wings.

A baby dragon stays inside of its egg for 10 full years.

That’s a long time!

However not only that, but dragons also have an ability to speed up their brain and thinking up to 10x speed, and while the baby dragon is inside of it’s egg, that ability will automatically activate until they hatch (this was the ability I used in battle before!).

So, while it’s only 10 real years, the baby dragon’s mental age is 100 years old the moment it hatches due to the 10x speed that their brain process at.

Within those 10 real life years and 100 mental years, it goes through many phases called Dragonification.

This was the new information that William was telling me about, so I paid attention and forgot to write it down, and I only remembered it now so only now am I writing it down so I won’t forget. A little late but the information is still fresh in my head.

Dragons are very emotional and mental unstable creatures, at birth that is.

A baby dragon when born inside of its egg is very emotional and cries constantly. And since its mental state is very weak, it’s physical and magically power is also very weak.

But when it’s emotions peak, it starts to lose its emotions and since it loses its emotion, it’s mind and mental state becomes more stable and stronger.

When a dragons hatches from it’s egg, it will have no emotions because they lost all their emotions to Dragonificiation.

Dragonification, in short, is the process of which a dragon loses it’s emotions in exchange for power that usually happens at birth inside of the egg the dragon is born in.

That’s also apparently what’s happening to me as well, I lost one of my emotions and in exchange I was given one of the dragon powers. Dragon claws.

I went through Dragonification. I lost my emotion of fear.

During the fight with the wyvern, I felt extreme fear until suddenly I felt no fear anymore, and I felt power I never felt before surge within me. I also gained my dragon claws as well.

But that also means if I continue to grow stronger, I will slowly lose my emotions including joy, love, happiness, anger…

If I want to become stronger, I must literally get rid of my emotions?

William said this to me:

“That is the law of equivalent exchange of dragons. Power in exchange for something of equal value, your emotions.”
