《A Curious World》Prologue

There are many that ascend to immortality and above.
Some even manage to overcome all others in their world, to forge their own everlasting legends. They fought through trials and tribulations, made many sacrifices and overcome countless foes.
They may think they have reached the end of the world, becoming the one existence is control of everything, but they didn’t.
They’re merely trapped inside their little bubble.
Afterall, how could there be so many existences overlooking everything if there weren’t countless confined worlds?
It wouldn’t be so easy to obtain true omnipotence.
Afterall, Destiny has fed them all they’ve needed. They may claim that it is due to their own credit, their own merit that they’ve achieved their current state but Destiny was the one who had always guided them to the existence of a higher realm.
They merely followed after the many that have ascended, those who left behind clues but what if, there was a higher plane of existence never discovered by anyone?
No predecessor.
No oracle who foresaw it.
No telepathic vision.
No soul guidance.
No clues.
A perfect concealment.
I have been in this plane for eons. I have watched entire worlds being born and entire worlds being ruined. Some live blissfully in immortality, not knowing that their miniscule chance at poking the bubble fades with passing time.
Some have another Unique One being born in their world, and this time around, they lose Destiny’s guidance. I tire of this.
This time, I shall make a new world, one with one small, tiny clue to reaching my realm.
This shall not test your determination, your willpower or tenacity. There is no sixth sense given by Destiny. You shall have one miniscule clue, ever so small, about the existence of my plane.
There is no way to ascertain the truth, no seer can ever hope to divine this. Now, show me if any of you have the stupidity to venture forth with no truth, no knowledge of what’s ahead for the small chance to reach this plane of mine.

I wish you all the best, as destiny is not coming.
I’m a very normal 25 year old neet. I didn’t think that Isekai stories were actually true, but I just reincarnated.
Maybe it’s time for me to be thrown into a foreign world with magic and dragons, only to realise that I have the game-breaking ability to reset time to my last checkpoint after I die.
Realising that I must use this ability to protect those I find dear to me even though I haven’t actually been with them that long, I die again and again for them. Then, just when I've started getting the hang of this, a cute maid girl confesses to me.
She seems like the perfect wife, but I live my life for only one albino cursed princess, so I reject her. Or not. My name’s not like a car company brand afterall.
I don’t think I’m in my own body though, it feels pretty foreign. If this is an Isekai story, now’s about the time for my memories to come rushing in, no?
“AHHHHHHHH!!” I screamed within my head.
Huh. Well, nothing happened. Was worth a shot?
I get up from my bed. Now that I notice, isn’t this very chinese styled? I wonder if I’m in feudal China. I’ll be a special reincarnator if I ended up going into the body of someone in the same normal world… wonder how that’ll work, someone from Taiwan being born in modern China would be stupid.
We do have the internet, so I doubt being born in another country before would help anything in our world. I could volunteer myself as a test subject? I can almost see the headlines: “Reincarnation finally proven?! Teenage boy reincarnates into another Country!”. I’ll probably be swamped by religious zealots so I’m going to pass though.

Speculations aside, I can’t seem to recall how I died in my previous life.
It feels rather hazy. Actually, aside from the fact that I was 25 years old and didn’t have a job, I basically remember nothing. I still have common knowledge, but I just don’t know anything about my past self…
Come to think of it, I’ve been wandering around my spacious room for half the day here, is no one coming to explain anything to me?
Well, I guess I’ll just head out then.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
