《Human in a Demon's Hide》A Misfortunate Encounter- III

Only the other three people apart from the slut's group remained silent and sat quietly in the corner.
The pretty boy started to walk towards me. I didn’t turn back and maintained by demeanor. I faced the empty podium in front as I rested my back on the backrest.
“Hey! I am talking to you..”, he said angrily as he was about to touch my shoulder.
The door behind me flung opened.
Everyone turned towards the door, even I did.
There was the errand boy standing who led me to the classroom before. He seemed exhausted and in a state of panic.
“Excuse my intrusion!”, he looked at me, “Please follow me! This is the wrong room! I am very sorry for my blunder, I hope it was no inconvenience.”
He apologized sincerely, but not to me. He apologized to the cocky soldiers in this room.
I guess this wasn't my meeting room after all.
I got up from my seat to exit the room. I should be angry at the errand boy who led me to the wrong room, but I was not! I am actually grateful that I wasn’t assigned as the same group as this cocky soldiers.
When I was about to leave, the slut got up and blocked my path. She kept one her leg on the opposite seat as she continued to block my way to exit. I thought she was just shy and cute acting type of a bitch, but she was actually a delinquent type.
I looked at her in the eye. She had this provocative smile. She played with her hair curls as she continued to block my path with one of the legs raised and placed on the desk on the opposite side.
Does she want me to plead to move her leg? Or should I just push her away? Both the ways seemed troublesome.

“Excuse me! But I could see your panties.”, I said to the girl in her eye. I had my poker face on.
She suddenly got embarrassed with a tomato red face and quickly lowered her leg without any further argument and I straightly walked towards the exit.
“You lowly, scum!”
“How dare you! to say such a thing to a lady!”
Blah Blah Blah… started to grumble and complain, the boys who were the followers of the slut.
“You pervert! Name yourself!”, demanded the slut.
I continued to walk towards the door and ignored her.
“How dare you defy me! I am the eldest daughter of Vandragg noble house and my father is the lord of this region. I shall- Hey are you even listening?”, she nagged on as I reached the door.
But all of a sudden, I was stopped by a tall and stiff looking old man in his 50’s.
He wore a formal black coat over a white shirt. A fedora classic hat, with oval glasses. He had pointy mustache and furrow eyebrows. He was tall and had a slender built body.
He looked at me with quite a displeasure and didn’t hide his disgust.
He seemed the one in charge of this room. I could just tell how much a pain in the ass this guy was to be dealing with. I didn’t make eye contact for a long time and went past by to exit the door, just then.
“Stop right there!”, he commanded.
And I stopped.
I didn’t turn my back immediately.
“The young lady asked you a question there!”, said the mustache guy.
I let out a small sigh and turned towards the slut. She sat on her desk with her legs folded, as she acted all high and mighty. Just her sight makes me wanna puke. She was pretty and beautiful with a hot bod, but it was all a waste just because of her twisted personality.

“My name is Desmond Heller. I am a new recruit to be stationed on guard duty. I hope we could get along, sorry for my behavior before. I am not used to interacting with people.”, I replied with an earnest answer.
All of a sudden everyone’s expression changed.
The slut groups boys started to mumbling with themselves as they glanced at me. Even the three young soldiers who were seated in the corner seemed to talk among themselves. The slut was also shocked and disgusted as well.
The reaction was totally not surprising at all. I was used to getting such reactions from people as soon as they hear my last name ‘Heller’.
“Are you, THE HELLER’s son? The traitorous hero, Heller’s son?”, she asked in a derogatory way.
I respond to her question with silence.
The silence lasted in the room for a couple of seconds.
“Excuse me! Now I shall take my leave.”, I turned towards the mustache guy, “Sorry for barging in your meeting room. Hope, I wasn’t a bother, goodbye.”, I said with a smile.
“Get out! Already!”, said the mustache bastard!
I was being polite but he was just being an arse hole. After he learned I was, THE heller’s son. He was more offended for some reason.
I took my leave along with errand boy.
This was pretty a shitty start for my first day.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
