《Stardust Universe》Chapter 1.16 - Zenith - Snow, White, and The Seven Princesses

I don’t like it. I don’t like it very much. I despise it. I despise them very much. The Inn Keeper’s daughters was hogging all over White the whole night. All seven of them. I hate it. I wish all of them will die a terrible death. One of them could die of a disease. Another one would die of food poisoning. One more would die from suffocation. The next one dies of being the lunch of a wild animal. Then another one can die from being thrown off a tall place. The following can hang themselves out of depression and the last one might as well dies from being defiled to death.
My hatred for those girls was at a boiling point at the time. I was mad. I feel like I want to destroy all of them. But then in a split second, White notices me and broke off from the other girls.
“Hey, Zen. What are you doing all alone in the corner?”
I didn’t say anything. I also turned my face away from him.
“Zen, are you alright? Did you hurt yourself from the fire?” He continues to talk to me.
I remained silence.
“Zenith!” He grabbed me and turned myself toward him. “Are you listening?”
I finally looked at him in the eye as tears started to shed down to my cheeks.
“Hey…why are you crying? Did something happen?”
I shake my head and finally said to him, “It’s nothing.” I wiped my tears and ran out of the Inn.
White was left confused along with the other folks in the Inn.

Of course he wouldn’t understand. He is like all boys. Of course he would enjoy being surrounded by beautiful girls like them. I couldn’t even compete with any of them. They are much better than I am. All of seven daughters were way beautiful than I am.
Miney, the eldest is a strong and independent girl. She mines gems around here. She leads her sister with her optimism at full display. She also has a nice figure that all men would fall for. Might as well add White to that list. The second sister is Maddy, she’s probably what you call a psychotic woman. She’s always pissed whenever someone bothers her or her sisters. That’s actually a good thing though. But even then, I can really see someone falling for that kind of character. Someone who acts like a monster on the outside but lovely on the inside. These two are like the big sisters not just from how they act but also from how they look with those unbelievable big packages.

The third girl is called Joy and as her name stated, she’s the most cheerful sister out of all of them. She really looks up on Miney who was always optimistic on anything. There’s no way my cold demeanor could beat her shining resonance of happiness. The fourth sister, Lizzy is a lazy girl. She lazes around all day and sleeps throughout it. She only does thing other than sleep if either Miney or Maddy has anything to say for that. Doofy, the fifth sister is a bit of an aloof type of person. She’s way clumsier than I am. It’s almost like she has some sort of mental problem or something but I'm not saying she does. And to make things even worse, all three of them pack decent packages compared to mine. Boys would say it’s the perfect package.
Then there’s the younger one which is Ashy and Sickly. Ashy is what you call someone a little bit like me. She’s shy in everyday conversation but she always brought out her cute side unexpectedly. Even I couldn’t do that. Sickly on the other hand seems to be always looked like she needs some medicine. In fact, the innkeeper said she had a weak body compared to her other sisters. As her name provided she is always the one who will take some kind of medicine because she is prone to sickness because of her weak metabolism. But the worst offenders that these two has however, is having packages almost the sizes of their eldest sister. It’s completely unbelievably uncontrollably nonsense. How the heck can a younger girl be more ‘mature’ than I am?
“It’s not fair…” I said so as I weep myself out next to a tree outside of the Inn.
I look over my body and tried to grasp the meaning behind the complete packages that the seven sisters have. But each time I think about that, I couldn’t help but being depressed over how I don’t have the same package as they are. No, I don’t have any of it. I’m completely flat. Not a single man would even look at me.
As I continued to weep outside, a mysterious hooded man watches from a distance. They took a second of standing still just to look menacing. He then walks slowly so that it could look more menacing. Meanwhile a wild boar saw him and it was trying to attack him. But he didn’t even mind it; he just kept on walking menacingly toward me as a wild wolf took care of the boar. Packs of wolves started to appear all around us. But then suddenly all of the dogs stopped in place and sat down. The mysterious hooded man walks over the canines and approached me.

He then menacingly said to me, “You look sad, little girl.”
I replied, “Y-yes…I…I am…”
“What’s the matter? Did you lost your boyfriend or something?”
“B-boyfriend?! N-no…not exactly…but…”
“Ah, I see.” The mysterious hooded man nodded. He then searches something inside his robes.
I cautiously moved back as it was happening. Then the mysterious hooded man brought out an apple.
“Here. This should cheer you up a bit.” The mysterious hooded man gave the apple to me, “I plucked it specifically from a very special place. It would get your little friend to come back to you as soon as possible.”
I was unsure of this. I began to question him further, “Are you sure?”
“Yes I am sure. You wouldn’t simply say no to someone who just gave you a delicious yet scrumptious fruit such as this beautifully appetizing apple. Didn’t you know that the forbidden garden grows a lot of different types of miracle fruits? It’s a marvelous thing. One of the things us wizards still couldn’t comprehend how this phenomenon could work.”
I looked at the apple with a weird look and said, “I’m not really hungry right now…but…”
“It can make your boyfriend come back to your side that’s for sure. It is a proven fact.” He said so convincingly.
I gave it a thought and remembered about all of the things White has done to me ever since we met on that day and it all fell apart after I see flashes of him hanging out with the seven sisters. That’s it. I decided to swallow my pride and eat the apple. I swallowed down my saliva and opened my mouth. As I was about to take a bite out of the apple, a loud thunder stammered down to the earth. I was shook. Even the mysterious hooded man jumped a little.
I looked around and saw White from a distant. Both of his hands were closed tightly but one of his hands started to emits some sort of electricity.
“What the heck are you trying to do to my Guardian?!” White shouted as loud as he could.
It startled me as I also accidentally dropped the apple to the ground.
“Well, well, well. You’re finally here…” The mysterious hooded man looked at White menacingly.
“W-w-what’s…going on…?” I was still shaking.
White’s facial expression was filled with hatred. It was scary. I couldn’t look at him in the eye at all.
The mysterious hooded man uncovers his hood and reveals himself, “It’s been a while…you two…What an unsuspecting reunion.”
“Who are you?” questioned White.
The mysterious person laughed and said, “Don’t tell me you already forgot about me?! How about this guy?”
Suddenly, in a distance a big and strong guy appeared behind the woods. The guy was wrenching his fist. He had a bunch of weird bottles over his belt. I looked at White and notices he was a little bit surprised.
“White! Who is that?” I asked White.
The mysterious man however responded, “You don’t know him but you’re supposed to know me that’s for sure. Remember the time I was chasing you guys down to the sewer?”
“Wait…you’re from back then…”
“Exactly! I’m the canine whisperer. I was chasing you guys until this boy actually killed one of my beloved doggies.”
“I see.” White finally understands what was going on, “I see what’s happening now…But I didn’t know that you would know this other guy. I thought you’re just another fake thug. Haven’t Team Stardust done you enough back then, thug?”
“W-who is he?” I was confused.
White smiled and said, “That huge guy over there was once the leader of a fake dark guild, Roman. His specialty? Making drugs. And apparently these two were trying to give one to you, Zen.”
“W-what?” I looked at the apple as I continued to shiver from how intense it was getting.
White took a little breathing and opened his eyes.
He took on a fighting stance and called up both of the mysterious people, “If its redemption you seek then come and have at it! I won’t allow you to change people's destiny. You won’t stop me now because…I’m the writer of my own story!”

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com
