《The Death Simulation》New Friends

Last night, everyone parties their hearts out. There was even wine, to drink that had the same effects as real world wine (Except for disorders and illnesses), and we all drank till we were drunk. We all enjoyed the party, and it was the time of my life. All the clearers and the kids who weren’t there for the boss fight was partying together. As we told the story of the epic boss battle, Hailey came to me and congratulated me for dealing the last hit. And she also jokingly said: “Next time I deal the last hit, or else I cut your head off.” I replied while laughing: “Yes ma’am.” She said: “Good.” After that Luke and Peaches came over and started arguing about who did the most damage. Luke argued: “I obviously did the most damage, you barely did a scratch.” Peaches retorted: “Oh yeah? Well look at yourself and that sloppily held halberd of yours.” Luke said: “Well then, look at that short mace of yours. Looks more like a toothpick” She shouted: “Why you..” Luke then proceeded to anger her more and said: “Well then, obviously a halberd is more effective than a toothpick.” After that she grabbed her mace and started to chase Luke while shouting: “I’ll SHOW YOU WHAT A TOOTHPICK CAN DO.” Both me and Hailey laughed, it was truly a entertaining night. However, after partying till 1am everyone decided to start to head back to our respective night activities. As my guild and I head back towards the inn that we were staying, I saw how Luke and Peaches still were pretty pissed with each other. As I went to my best friend and tried to make him laugh, Hailey being the only other girl in the guild went to Peaches and tried to calm her down. I thought to myself God, these two are never going to get together as friends..
As we each went back into our rooms, I personally went to first take a nice relaxing shower, before going to bed. This night, reminded me of the activities that took place between me and my real life friends. The more I thought about it, the more I knew that the virtual world, wasn’t just a virtual world. It was always meant to be interconnected with the real world. As I sunk into my thoughts as usual, my eyelids started to feel heavy. Corresponding with my eyelid’s will, I let it close as I enter my dreams. As I wake up in the next day, I quickly do my morning activities and get ready for the day of farming. As I move outside of my inn door, everyone of the Crimson Vigilante’s were already dressed and waiting. As usual, Jingxi being Jingxi said: “You’re late dumbass.” I replied: “It’s just by 10 minutes, nothing big.” As Jingxi was about to retort me Hailey stared him down with a look that she was about to murder him if he said another word. He said: “Yes, Ma’am.” After that, Hailey bought us our standard breakfast of Ham and Cheese sandwiches. We all ate up the delicious sandwiches made by Hailey. After we ate, I said to everyone: “Let’s go clear the 3rd part as fast as we did with the 2nd one! Everyone was very enthusiastic about clearing the simulation, as we all had just cleared the 2nd floor as fast as lightning. We knew we could win this and go home, and return to our normal lives.

As we all went towards the teleporter, we saw the options for the towns that we could teleport to as we saw the name of the 3rd part’s 1st town. The town’s name was “Jianyumen” after seeing that I thought as I shouted it’s name to teleport to it Strange.. Jian yu means Jail, and men means door. That would mean Jail’s Door? What kind of map is this? Once the flash that blinded me stopped blinding me, I looked out. This was map a prison map.. It was like something was being kept inside, but what? As we prepared to go into the combat zone with our newly bought gear from this town, several other clearer guilds followed us. The Dragon Warriors, known for their Shielding, consisted of a team of heavy weapons users and a team with tankers. The White Smiters, a team of greatsword users which occupied two groups of clearers. And finally, the Golden Fangs. A guild which uses more lighter weapons like rapiers, katanas and maces. They occupied three groups of the clearers.
As we got our items Hailey said: “This is really creepy.” I replied : “Yeah.. reminds me of a prison camp.” She then said: “Maybe it is.. maybe.” I replied : “No way it is.” After we bought our weapons, we started going outside of the town. As we emerged from the safezone, we emerge to what seems to be the outskirts of a ruined city. Ape wolf faced like creatures, with a body of a crooked human that wielded swords, Kobold scavengers were the primary mobs here, as we fought through them with eaze. As we fight through towards the next town, there was more and more Kobolds that were becoming higher and higher level. Thank god we were ahead, or else we would have a hard time like everyone else. From Kobold scavengers we managed to greet Kobold soldiers and foot soldiers, and they knew how to use skills, just like us.
It took us a total of 5 days to go through all of the towns and to the dungeon, and by the time we reached the dungeon we were all at least level 82+. As the 6th day approached, we prepared ourselves to go inside the dungeon. The dungeon wasn’t really a dungeon. It was instead a enormous prison like area, with a enormously tall building at the middle of it. . The prison’s gate was heavily guarded with numerous amounts of Kobold archers and Kobold guards. The sky was blood red, and the prison was more like a impenetrable fortress of steel. As we rushed towards the prison, the archers opened fire. Thanks to our well trained reaction speeds and instinct we managed to dodge them all as we began to kill off the archers and guards in the prison’s front walls. After we went inside the prison, we still had to clear Kobold guards to get to the tall building’s gate. And inside there was the true dungeon. The prison was heavily guarded by Kobolds, and we had to eliminate them all, however it wasn’t easy as they were quite numerous and high levelled at the same time. At the 6th day of arrival we decided to challenge the dungeon. Terry said: “What’d you think would be inside, Jingxi?” Jingxi repleid: “I dunno? guards? NPC prisoners? A quest giver like last time?” Terry shrugged, as we went inside the dungeon. Sure enough there were level 80 guards, as we fought them long and hard, we eventually managed to defeat them. I asked everyone: “Should we farm here?” Hailey stood up and replied: “Yes, no matter what we have to risk it” I said: “Everyone in agreement with her?” They all nodded. And so, our day to day lives changed from travelling, to dungeon clearing once more. Level after level, we still couldn’t reach the top floor. The mobs weren’t even captain ranked, they were just lieutenant ranked according to their name.

At the 15th day, we finally met the first group of Captain Class Kobolds. The kobolds was level 98, however we had already rose all the way up to level 100+. As we engaged the Kobolds, we discovered that they not only knew sword skills but it also had more advanced wisdom in terms of fighting. It was able to form more complicated strategies than the previous monsters and bosses we had faced. Thanks to our higher level weapons and equipment, we managed to beat the Kobolds. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to say that they were just about as good as us, as they were all armed with 8 consecutive hit skills, ranging from a variety of weapons. We barely managed to beat them. As we slayed the last Kobold Captain, we walked through several corridors and went into one of the rooms. After killing the mobs there, we then found another room. The room appeared to be.. A execution room? There was a executioner’s table and a kobold that was wearing a black mask on it’s furry head. We didn’t bother to find out, and since it took us fairly long to get here. I decided that this would be a good time to use one of those expensive teleporter placer crystals. As I put down a teleporter at the room that we just cleared. Hailey asked me : “Why are you wasting it on this?” I snapped: “They may be expensive but do you really want to go through all that again?” After that, Hailey obediently retreated back as we all went onto the teleporter and went to our hometown. After this long day we were all exhausted, as we headed back into our inn and didn’t even have dinner. We were all tired from fighting and fell sound asleep, without even talking to each other.
At the next day, we did our morning routines as we proceeded to head onto the teleporter to teleport into the place which we left off yesterday. As we were walking towards the teleporter a conversation between us started.. Jingxi said: “Hell yeah, I’m ready to pound that executioner to the ground.” After that Luke said: “Nooo. That loot drop is mine.” Terry went in and said: “Well.. you don’t have to both argue about loot drops you know. After all it could be my type of weapon and not yours.” After that Luke and Jingxi both yelled: “Shut your trap, it’s none of your business.” Peaches retorted to them both and shouted: “Give the poor kid some slack, he’s not even damn confident and you’re bullying him like this, looks like your more of a pussy than I thought.” Luke then said: “Why you little..” As he was about to speak something else Hailey said: “Stop being so greedy, all of us have different weapons after all. If the executioner is actually a mini boss and drops a decent weapon one of us can use, then let’s just give it to a person that can use it ok?” Leo, taking his opportunity said: “I call dibs on the battleaxes.” I then shouted: “ENOUGH! WE’RE A GUILD THAT SHARES THE DROPS WITH EACH OTHER SO STOP ARGUING ABOUT DROPS.” After that Hailey as if cheering me on said: “Yeah, listen to Jason. He’s speaking the truth, so shut the hell up.” After my outburst everyone stayed quiet until we went to the teleporter. After that we shouted: “Teleport! Jason Gan’s teleporter at maze part 3 dungeon. As we shouted that a blue flash erupted and we were instantly transported. When we arrived, a bunch of kobold guards started attacking us. We killed them almost instantly with our superior skills and weapons.
As we went to the executioner’s room, we saw two people with green crystals above their heads.. What? No way, I didn’t recognize those people. Their names were “Prisoner” then with a hashtag and a number code. However it was clear they were real life people. I was petrified to see them like this, it looked like from their faces they were happy to die. It was like they were tortured for so long, death was a joy to them. Their faces showed the signs of agony they had faced before, and the joy they had in awaiting their impending deaths. It was definite that these people would die once they killed in here too. As the axe swung, I shouted in the top of my lungs: “WAIT!” However, the person that was in there was killed. After that person, I saw the next up in line was a couple. A couple which was around the age of 25.. Unlike the rest of the people, they were afraid of dying. It appears that despite their torture, they wanted to survive. I.. Couldn’t help but to put myself in their shoes. At that moment I vowed to myself that I would save them. I shouted to everyone in the Crimson Vigilante’s: “DON’T INTERFERE, THIS IS MY FIGHT.” As I charged towards the Kobold executioner, which name was “Chusi the executioner of Tanren”. I shouted out: “STOP!!!” As the kobold turned its eyes towards me, it proceeded to stop the blade which was going to chop their heads off. The executioner’s axe it had was a long battle axe like weapon. It had a ebony handle, unlike the standard battleaxe. It was decorated highly with gold, and the iron on the axe was colored black. On the top of the axe was a smaller blade, while in the bottom it was a much longer and sharper blade. The kobold and I both took stances and looked at each other, ready to fight and kill each other. A battle of revenge and bloodlust had begun.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
