After getting down from the third floor Yu decides to continue searching Kore's room, since he wasn't paying much attention when he was looking for the medicine with the wolfs injury on his mind

"But acting like that even after what it had done.. sigh"

Remembering the wolfs anger, Yu feels some anger of his own, not directed at the wolf though, but at the previous owner as it put him in a difficult situation.

The wolf may had seemed to be trying to protect Yu in the earlier fight but that was because it would lose its own life without him, not to mention that the previous predicament was caused by the wolf itself.

"If it hadn't rushed and just waited a little I wouldn't have almost.... sigh"

Yes, the wolf had in fact jumped ahead of schedule, not only throwing Yu's plan into disarray but also surprising him which made him unable to cope with the situation too well.

Yu was supposed to place the food a little further from the guards position forcing them to get closer, leaving their heavy weapons behind so by the time wolf was noticed it would be too late for them to summon their Beasts, and if they went back to pick up their weapons then that would be the death of them since they would be leaving their backs exposed, but with the distance between them when the wolf jumped and the fact that he wasn't well prepared, Yu was instantly frozen not knowing what he could do.

Thankfully the guards never suspected Yu as an enemy since, as stated before, there was a lack of assassins among the nobles, not to mention no novel would disguise himself as a maid and forsake their pride to attack two crappy guards.

'Still I can't blame it since team work only stems from trust which were sorely lacking'

In the midst of his thoughts Yu arrived at the room and snapped out of his thoughts.

Taking a closer look at the room this time, Yu noticed the white bed and sighed to himself

"Sigh, if only I could take the bed with me I wouldn't ask for anything else"

Sleeping while sitting on the chair was extremely uncomfortable, and he wished he had the same luxury as others.

Moving closer to the bed Yu takes the blanket and ties its ends together then puts the pillows inside, then he starts taking various items from the cabinet and piling them inside the sad excuse of a bag.

Moving to the wardrobe Yu fully opens it to reveal an outstanding collection of dresses that any princess would kill to have.

'Here I am struggling for life and this girl is treating this like a picnic.'

Thinking that he had enough cosplay for the night Yu moves on to the next room, the head guards room.

As soon as he entered the room a heavy womanly smell invaded his nose which made his mind buzz for a bit. After a few seconds he snapped out of his daze and look around the room.

The first thing that caught his eyes were the lingerie that were thrown on the bed, a white bra and a creamy laced pantie. Which more than prove the head guard was a woman.

Mechanically moving to the bed Yu picks up the lingerie finding it to be still warm to the touch, causing no small pressure at the tip of his nose.

Shaking his head, he throws it on the bed and tries to focus on finding any useful items in the room.

'This isn't the time to mess around, the more time i stay here the less leeway I have in the future'

Diverting his attention by looking around Yu spots a huge bag to the side, probably used to hold the items when coming into the Battlefield, after scrutinizing it and then looking back at his own self-made bag a gleam passes through Yu's eyes

"Self-reliance is necessary when living on the battlefield I mustn't be tempted by these luxury tools; I must learn to adapt to the environment"

As he says so Yu prepares himself before leaving the mansion with the wolf following behind.

An hour later Yu could be seen moving through the desolate land of the battlefield while taking laboring breaths every now and then, indicating that he is well past his limit and is pushing himself to get to the mansion before dawn arose.

"How can someone have so little stamina? if it was my body from before this would have been a pleasant jog rather than a military exercise"

Irritated by the fact that he is running late, if he is capable of running at all at this point, Yu plops on the ground, taking ragged breaths to calm his mind.

After a minute he finally manages to regulate his breath before taking a look around.

What he saw practically blew away any fatigue as he stared at the beautiful sight within his eyes.

A lush forest lay before him, flowers and trees dotting his vision, even when its deep into the night it was brightly lit by the moon and the stars shining like jewels in the black carpet above.

"Its.. Beautiful..."

As a person who likes nature, especially nighttime scenery, a pollution free sight like this dashed away all his worries for a bit, giving him the chance, for the first time he came into this world, to appreciate the beauty that lay before him.

'And this is just the battlefield.'

While the sky may look realistic, this was after all just an illusion to keep the laws of this dimension intact, the world outside would most definitely look leagues better than the current sight.

'If I want threatened by death'

While ruminating over his misfortunate situation Yu suddenly exclaims, loud enough for his shout to spread through the forest.

"AH, who said I must die? fuck I'm such an idiot"

Cursing at his own mislight Yu bounds up to his feet, while doing so he notes a shadow jumping back into the forest.

"Go catch it"

Before he even finished his sentence the wolf had already giving chase. Going deep into the forest.

"Don't Kill It!"

Shouting toward the wolf he wonders if it had heard him, and if it would listen even if it did.

"If that's what I think it is than I've struck gold, no Crystal"

Smiling to himself Yu sets down his Backpack and take out some food to eat.

Looking at the large bag he had "borrowed" from the women's room he nods his head in satisfaction and proceeds to eat the readymade food while leaning on a pillow he took from Kore's room.

"Ahh It feels good living in luxury~. Self-Reliance can wait until I’m out of here "

Mumbling to himself he continues happily eating away after his earlier discovery as he waited for the wolfs result.

*Earlier*

As the wolf was gazing its annoying incompetent master that's plopped on the ground it was recalling the close call from the fight in the mansion.

It had indeed jumped in to kill those humans, but it had wanted a bit of a fight instead of readymade food since its despicable master didn't even give them a chance to fight back thus baring the wolf from the thrill of battel, thus it decided to take things into its own paws and attacked the humans thinking they might worth playing with for a while.

What it hadn't expected was for the enemy to be so resilient with their annoying round object they kept slamming it with increasing its rage. And things took a worse turn when the enemy had summoned a cat to help them.

Off course what surprised the her the most was the fact that its master had infect killed one of the annoying humans that it had she had been struggling with, 'That weak incompetent master also has his uses' though amazed at first, the wolf instantly retracted its thoughts when she saw him running desperately toward the shining rock when the guard turned around to chase him. But as she knew she might die under the combined force of the human and the cat she gave chase and the shouts that came from the stairs later reinforced her decision.

But the despicable human used the cat as a distraction to stop her from chasing him and went straight for her master.

The end result though, was out of her expectation, as the guard and all the threatening feeling from the stairs all disappeared together, and while wondering what could her master have done she gazed toward him and saw him crying under a transparent dome which returned her earlier impression of his uselessness to her again. Though he snapped back and helped her she still didn't change her impression.

Now looking at him in the forest raggedly breathing the wolf was in deep thought, which wasn't something that could have been possible before that weird ceremony her master did, thinking back to that day, she felt like since then he wasn't the same person from before, more than a change of heart, it was more drastic, more like... a change of soul....

Her master suddenly jumped up to his feet snapping her out of her daze which happened to be exactly when she heard a rustling, as a shadow ran into the forest.

Getting a little excited she went after the creature without waiting for any commands from her master, as she wouldn't listen to them anyway.

But before she got further she felt his intention of letting the creature live, and while it didn't sit right with her she felt she might as well give the scheming master a chance since she was full from eating the cat anyway.

With that in mind the wolf accelerated toward the fleeing creature with glee showing in its eyes

A while later, precisely two pieces of bread and a bottle of water, the wolf had returned with a black creature with white spots and long ears, in its mouth.

"Yin Yabbit, as I had expected"

"Since this fellow is here then it must have wondered off from its home, which means there should be a dark attribute treasure nearby."

As Yin Yabbits can almost only be spotted near extreme Dark attribute natural treasures, that lack any predator since they would be the first to be eaten if there were any, then a treasure must be close to the location its spotted since it would die if it strays off too much.

" I might have been happy if I wasn't running low on time... and Yin Yabbits are basically useless as anything but food for other Yin Type Beasts."

Unlike their Silver rank counterpart, Yin Rabbits, Yin Yabbits are basically a failure that are were unable to absorbed enough Dark Attribute which resulted in them merely accumulating the energy in their body without actually making use of it, so that makes them normal rabbits with a large store of Dark attribute and nothing else at all. And Yu didn't happen to have any Dark attribute Soul Beasts.

"Sigh I'm not the type that depends on luck so searching right now might just merely waste my time and the fatigue is getting to me anyway. As for the rabbit."

Gazing at the rabbit Yu suddenly had an idea and ordered the wolf to put the unconscious wolf on the ground, after which Yu tied it up and headed out once again toward the mansion.

Unknown to him a gleam passed through the wolf eyes before it followed closely behind him.
