"My heart?"
*gulped* Marcus swallowed his saliva after hearing what the man in front of him said.
"Uuh capt? You're kidding, right? It's not like he has to literally cut his heart out and give it to you right?"
Jin asks shocked by what his captain said.
"Shut up Jin, let him makes his own choice. So, Marcus, would you give up on your humanity and bound to the sea and only will able to step on land for one day once every ten years?"
"Yes, I will do anything to save her!"
Replied Marcus.
"One last question. Do you fear...death?"
Koujiro asked Marcus while pulling out his sword from its sheath.
"I do...that's why I asked you for your help, I'm afraid of dying and leave her being slaved by those people."
"Very well, state your full name and vow to me that you will serve me under my flag as a loyal servant, and I will grant you the power to save your beloved, the power...to rule the sea."
"I'm Marshall D. Marcus swear, that I will serve under your flag as your loyal servant."
Marcus swore as he kneeled on one of his knees in front of Koujiro.
Koujiro nodded then close his eyes to make a dramatic scene while he can talk with The Helper.
'H, buy the Flying Dutchman and drop it on the seafloor near the beach.'
°Buying the Flying Dutchman, ¥. 300.000.000 taken from your inventory, *Warning* the ship need a captain before it can be taken out from your inventory, register a captain.°
'Can I register Marcus as captain?'
°Yes, just make him say that he will take the duty of becoming the Flying Dutchman's Captain.°
Opening his eyes, Koujiro looks down on Marcus who's still kneeling waiting for him.
"You, Marshall D. Marcus, are you willing to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman and become part of her, cursed to sails the sea for eternity?"
"Yes, I will."
Marcus replied.
"Then repeat after me."
Koujiro paused and Marcus nodded.
"I...Marshall D. Marcus, am willing to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman."
"I, Marshall D. Marcus, am willing to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman."
Marcus repeat and then a gust of wind swept through the three.
°Captain of the Flying Dutchman is registered, deploying the ship on the seafloor, the ship deployed.°
"Now, show me your loyalty by giving your heart, careful you'll die if you stab your heart."
Koujiro said then throw his Tanto to Marcus.
Marcus takes the Tanto and slowly cutting his chest to make sure he doesn't accidentally stab his heart.
After a few minutes of gruelling pain, Marcus takes out his heart and hold it on his hand with the heart still beating then give it to Koujiro.
"Stich him up Jin."
Koujiro said to jin after wrapping the heart with a cloth.
"What the fuck"
Jin muttered under his breath and begins to stitch Marcus' chest.
"Alright, now go get your ship."
Koujiro said after Jin finished stitching Marcus' chest then he grabs Marcus by his neck and throws him to the sea.
Few minutes after Koujiro tossed Marcus into the sea, the Flying Dutchman in all her glory bursts out from the sea.

"Damn capt, you never cease to amaze huh."
Jin said seeing the huge galleon ship that just resurfaced like a submarine.
"You would die from shock if you know what I can do Jin."
Koujiro replied then Jumped over twenty meters across the sea and landed on the ship, Jin followed behind him.
"Welcome to the world of monsters Marcus."
Koujiro said to Marcus who's walking down the stairs from the stern.
On top of the Kraken Hammer that is located on the middle of the ship's deck, a small black chest with a heart shape carving on the front of the chest where the keyhole is, with the key stuck on the keyhole.
"I'll take this chest, for safekeeping, you can dock your ship here or the harbour, I don't really care, and also what will you do on the island is not my problem, do as you wish, but remember, you only have time until the sunset, you should already on your ship once the sun is touching the horizon."
Koujiro said while walking towards the chest, turning the key, the chest lock mechanism opened, he put Marcus' heart inside the chest then locked it again.
"Remember, you only have time until sunset."
Koujiro said already standing on top of the ship rails and then jumped back to the beach followed by Jin.
"Why are you still holding that chest? I can hear its beating inside, it makes me feel weird, can't you just do your magic?"
Asked Jin still hearing the faint sound of the heart beating.
"I can't do it because the heart is still beating you dumb fuck, shut up and let's go to the bar before Marcus wreak havoc on the town."
Koujiro said then the duo dashed through the forest to reach the bar before Marcus run wild and destroy the city.
Once the duo arrived at the bar, they sat on the bar and ordered their drinks.
"Soo, what the fuck was that back there? Marcus is still alive with his heart taken out."
Jin asked after they sat on the barstools.
"I made him become an immortal, he still can die, but only by getting stabbed on the heart, and the ship is called Flying Dutchman, she's a cursed ship, the captain and his crew will be cursed to sail the sea for eternity only able to touch land for a day once every ten years, and whoever joins Flying Dutchman, they have to serve the ship for a hundred years and eventually will become part of her, once you joined the Flying Dutchman, you already became a part of the ship."
Koujiro explained to Jin.
"That's kinda harsh, isn't it? Surely almost everyone wants to become immortal and lived a long life, but only able to touch land once every ten years? I'm gonna pass on that."
"Ooh yeah, the can't touch land part is only for the captain, the rest of the crew can freely go on land, you can join Marcus if you want to, I don't mind, but as I said earlier, once you joined the Flying Dutchman, you become one with the ship."
Koujiro shrugs his shoulders while sipping his beer.
"Uuuh, that's not good right? Becoming one with the ship? Queen Anne's Revenge doesn't have a curse like that right?"

"Umm, not that I know of, but the previous captain had this hobby of doing Voodoo magic where he turned his crew into undying zombies, wanna try that one? He left his Voodoo books on the cabin, I can learn it if you want, hehe."
Koujiro said while giggling trying to scare Jin.
"Hell no! Throw that vile thing away man, I'm fine with being a normal human."
"I'm just asking, I'll maybe try to offer the crews if they want to become one, who knows, maybe someone would."
"Whatever man, just don't include me to your magic Voodoo experiments."
Jin said and sips his beer, not long after they finished talking, an explosion sound can be heard from the direction of the harbour.
"Ooh, that must be Marcus, let's get back to the ship, and also look around for the crew, if you see them, tell them to also get back to the ship."
Koujiro said while paying their drinks and he walks out of the bar.
"It's too fast for the ship to circle around the island capt, don't tell me the ship fly, does the ship literally called the Flying Dutchman because she can fly?"
Jin asked while walking beside his captain.
"Of course a galleon that huge can't fly you dumb, let me ask you this, do you believe in ghost?"
Koujiro said then asked back to Jin.
"Uuuh, after what you showed me what you did to Marcus I think I kinda believe in ghost now, so the ship can phase through things?"
"Uuh no? The ship is a ghost ship you dumb, she doesn't need wind to sails, and on top of that she is fast as fuck, faster than our ship."
"Damn that's one hell of a ship, shame she's cursed though."
"Yes, she's a great ship, now let's get back to the ship before Marcus destroyed everything on the harbour, he doesn't know which ship is ours yet, I got a hunch that he will go wild just to save his wife."
The duo picks up their speed and dashed through the town while stopping here and there when they meet their crew and tell them to get back to the ship.
Being the fastest and abnormal on the crew, the duo arrived on the harbour first, and they see that the harbour is already in shambles and one big galleon ship full of holes clearly receiving the full wrath of forty six cannons from the Flying Dutchman.
"Damn Marcus went wild, how the hell he fired all those cannons?"
Jin said seeing the cannons on the Flying Dutchman blasting nonstop destroying the harbour and other pirate ships.
"Ooh fuck, one of the cannonballs is flying towards our ship!"
Koujiro yelled and jumped towards the cannonball and cut it in half, while Jin jumped towards the Flying Dutchman.
"Marcus, stop! You almost hit our ship!"
Jin yelled towards Marcus when he landed on his ship, the cannons immediately stop blasting, and then Koujiro also landed on the ship a second later.
"Get your ass to the island Marcus, you have a few hours left, I'll take care of the pirates that try to run."
Koujiro said while walking towards the helms where Marcus is at.
"Umm, I'll go find my wife, sorry for shooting at your ship capt."
Marcus said then jumped out of the ship and swim his way to the island.
Koujiro pulls out his Sword of Triton then move the Flying Dutchman and dock her near his ship.
"Jin, want to play who got the most kill using a rifle?"
Koujiro said to Jin after both of them get on their ship.
"Are you sure? Do you even have a rifle?"
"Ooh, I have a rifle alright."
Koujiro said then quickly buy a modern sniper rifle from the shop, he bought an M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle and a big case full of 7.62×67mm ammo already loaded into a bunch of magazines.
He climbed up to the crow's nest then pulled out the rifle followed by Jin, the crow's nest is big enough for them to stand side by side and aim their weapons towards the town and harbour considering they only have to shoot towards one angle.
"Nice rifle capt, so what is the bet here?"
Jin said once he reached the crow's nest and saw the rifle in his captain's hand.
"Umm, how about if you have more kills than me, I'll add a hundred thousand for each kill you have to your high town job loot, but, if I have more kills, then I'll take a hundred thousand for each kill I have from your money."
"Uuh, I don't get it."
Jin said confused by what his captain means.
"Umm, let's put it this way if you have say fifteen kills and I have ten kills, I will add five hundred thousand to your high town loot because you kill five more people than me, but if I kill fifteen and you kill ten, I'll take five hundred thousand from your loot, got it?"
"Aaah, I got it, soo you sure about this? You know I'm really good at this right? Want me to give you a handicap?"
"Are you for real? You don't believe that I can shoot a rifle?"
"Hehe, it's not like that capt, I'm just saying, I don't want to rob you you know, how about I'll only shoot every five seconds?"
"Don't come crying to me when I clean up all your loot Jin."
"Hehe, the chance of I'm losing in a shooting contest with you is pretty low capt."
"Alright, you're the one who suggests the handicap, not me, let's begin before Marcus kill the whole town."
"Alright...alright, you ready capt?"
Jin said then readying his rifle to shoot, Koujiro just nodded already locked in his first target and following his movement through the scope.
"Alright, 3...2...1 let's go!"
Jin yelled and both of them pulled the trigger.
*bang* Jin shot his first target and followed by Koujiro also shot his first target, but his rifle only produced a muffled sound, not a loud one like Jin's.

Broken Skulls, a Skeleton's Tale
Summoned as a Skeleton with no name, and unable to remember who he was. On the second floor of a dungeon in the heart of a city, with adventurers all seeking fortune and glory in its depths. No weapons. No Armor. No name. Only the grim determination to stay alive... At all costs. ---------------------------- Author's Note: This is the first story I've attempted writing in roughly seven years. While my writing style may be a bit rusty, I hope to be able to provide nothing more than a good book to sit down and read for awhile. P.S. I might not be able to be consistent with updates to the story, but I'll do my best! I hope you enjoy! ---------------------------- Cover art done by ShayeSoForgetful.

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**

A Step Behind Death
Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. I plan on making this novel into a webtoon once it becomes the best it can be. English isn't my first language, so expect some grammar bumps along the way.
