Once Juewang Guan arrived at the foot of the hilltop mountainside, whilst carrying the still injured Shang Guan with one arm over his shoulder and dragging his tired body. Juewang Guan manages the complete the hidden quest 'Bring the Tianji Sect Disciple down from the Hilltop Mountain' without much difficulty.
Ding!
A mechanical beep resounded inside of Juewang Guan's head, as he then saw the blue notification screen in front of him confirming the completion of the hidden quest.

System Notification For helping the Tianji Sect Senior Disciple Shang Guan down the hilltop mountainside! You've gained 5 points of fame! You have unlocked the hidden attribute stat fame!
Upon levelling up Juewang Guan could instinctively felt that his own body has become slightly stronger, even if it only a little, it can sometimes determine the outcome of a fight between two individuals of equal strengths and abilities. A slight difference in attribute stats can instead become a deciding factor in who wins and who loses in a fight.
Within the Age of Cultivation Online, a person's overall levels will be determined what cultivation stage, levels, and the realm they are in. For instance, every tenth player level is equivalent to one layer within the Qi Condensation stage. However, the experience points that are required for a player to level up will undoubtedly increase by a thousand points each time, thereby making it a lot more difficulter for the player to steadily increased their player levels and cultivation base in the long run. Without appropriate cultivation resources and elixirs like in typical Xianxia/Wuxia type novels.
Presumably, at this moment, there are no definite records to how far a person's player level could reach and how many actual layers there are within the Qi Condensation stage, as most of the typical players would usually ascend to the early Foundation Establishment stage after having reached the peak of the 10th layer within the Qi Condensation stage.

But there is a hidden secret amongst the Age of Cultivation Online players on the internet forum, that is the higher ones Qi Condensation level is upon building the Foundation Establishment stage, the stronger and firmer the Foundation Establishment stage foundations will be built. Thereby making it a lot smoother for the player to transition and ascends to the next cultivation level, as there are three types of Foundation Establishment bodies; Mortal Dao Foundation Establishment, Earth Dao Foundation Establishment, and Heavenly Dao Foundation Establishment.
Each type of Dao Foundation Establishment would require the user to absorb a certain amount of required spiritual qi, Earth qi strands, or Heavenly qi strands in order to build their respective foundation establishment spiritual sea/lake.
"I guess, it's about time that we should bid our farewells, Mr Shang Guan," Juewang Guan bid his farewells towards the Tianji Sect Senior Disciple Shang Guan, taking a few steps forwards, and was just about to leave, with his back facing towards Shang Guan's direction, when Shang Guan then called out to him to stop. "Please wait a minute, Juewang Jihui! I would like to give you something. Here take this." He said so towards Juewang Guan.
Shang Guan proceeded to hand Juewang Guan a carved wooden token, with the initials Guan Xuezhe carved on it.
Shang Guan then explains his reasons for giving him the wooden token, which certainly intrigues Juewang Guan and manages to catch his interest, "If you ever plan on joining the Tianji Sect. You are free to join our Scholarly factions within the Silver Spirit Ascension Peak. Our junior sect disciples of the Scholarly Faction will certainly welcome you if you were to hand him/her this carved wooden token."
"The Guan initials that are carved on the wooden token is my first name, whilst Xuezhe is the name of the Scholarly Faction that I am in charge of, within the Silver Spirit Ascension Peak." Shang Guan carefully explains to Juewang Guan.
Ding!
A mechanical beep resounded inside of Juewang Guan's head, as a blue notification screen then appears in front of him.
System Notification You have obtained the Tianji Sect [(Guan) Xuezhe] token. An invitation to join the Scholarly Faction within the Silver Spirit Ascension Peak of Tianji Sect Mountain!
"This..." Juewang Guan was certainly at a lost for words, for the fortuitous encounter, as he then obtained an invitation to directly joined the Scholarly Faction of the Silver Spirit Ascension Peak of Tianji Sect Mountain. "Thank you, Mr Shang Guan." Juewang Guan immediately thanked him.

"Hold your horses, Juewang Jihui! Do not be so excited yet?" Shang Guan exclaims, which then draws Juewang Guan right back to reality. "You have yet to pass the first trial exam set by the Tianji Sect. So you are officially not a disciple of Tianji Sect yet. The trial is extremely difficult for a mortal who has yet to cultivate any spiritual qi. The trial consists of you climbing a thousand steps to reach the big gates of the Tianji Sect, with each step emitting different levels of spiritual pressure to wear the user down, and making it even more difficulter for the user to climb up."
"For a mortal, it would be extremely difficult, as it would require them to have unimaginable willpower and internal strength just in order to climb up the thousand steps stairs to reached the big gates of the Tianji Sect." Shang Guan said so towards Juewang Guan, giving him a fair warning of how difficult it is to join a sect.
'The other sects trial exams will be equally as difficult or maybe even harsher, typical of the Xianxia world where the strong will prevail and the weak shall be trampled upon.' Juewang Guan thought so to himself, 'I wondered if the trials of the demonic cultivators within the demonic sect will be as hard as the Tianji Sect. Their trials exams will probably be a battle to the deaths where only the strong ones will survive and be picked by demonic sect.'
"It would be in your best interest to delay in your entrance into joining a sect, and focus solely on training your mortal body and mind first thing before thinking about joining a sect." The Tianji Sect Senior Disciple Shang Guan warns Juewang Guan beforehand.
Shang Guan then took a flying sword out from his interspatial ring; with his spiritual power as a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, he is able to freely control the flying sword with his thoughts and intent, enabling him to quickly ascend towards the sky like an arrow, and soar through the clouds on his flying sword like a chilling dragon.
With the figure of the white and light blue coloured daoist robe youth, Tianji Sect Senior Disciple Shang Guan quickly disappearing into the distance.
Juewang Guan decided to check up on his stats, 'Let's check out my stats and see how strong I've grown after two consecutive level ups.' He thought so to himself, as he said the command phrase 'Status' inside his head in order to open up and displayed his status screen.
Status Screen Name: Juewang Jihui Age:19 Gender: Male Race: Human Occupation: Mortal Villager Class: None Cultivation Level: Lv03 (0th layer) Cultivation Stage: Qi Condensation Physique: None Bloodline: None Combat Power: 003 Money: 0c 0s 0g Affiliation: None Titles: Health Points: 121/121 Satiety Points: 67/100 Stamina Points: 47/106 Spiritual Qi Points: 7/7 Physical Strength: 4 Spiritual Power: 4 Physical Defense: 3 Spiritual Resistance: 6 Physical Endurance: 6 Spiritual Soul: 8 Physical Speed: 8 Fame: 5 Luck: 6 Unallocated Stats Points: 6 Skills Passive Skill [Basic Herbology Knowledge Lv1]
'My stats attributes have only increased by a smaller margin, possibly one or two additional stats points per level up, and I'm still stuck at the 0th layer of Qi Condensation Stage. I need to somehow figure out a way to earn more experience points.' Juewang Guan thought so to himself.
'Hmmm...' Juewang Guan thought so intently to himself, 'At this current moment, I should focus solely on increasing my overall physical attribute stats at this moment. Possibly speed or strength. It may come in very useful when I needed it.'
So Juewang Guan decided to invest his 6 unallocated stats points into physical strength and physical speed; 2 points for strength and 4 points for speed.
Once his 6 unallocated stats points were all allocated, he then immediately closes his status screen and started running, testing out how fast he can run under half an hour, with his added stats. Juewang Guan runned all the way towards the Xiawu Village Gates, and then towards the village chief's house, located on the opposite end to the entrance of the village.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
