“How is he?”
Asked a man as he walked into a laboratory with a woman behind him. Upon his entry, everyone in laboratory stood up, paying their respect to him, signifying his position there.
The young people in the lab exclaimed as they looked towards the man with awe. The older one there just stood but from their poster and attitude, one can notice the respect they are showing towards the man.
From them, a single person, wearing a PPE responded with nervousness.
“Still the same sir. No matter what we do, he doesn’t seem to open his eyes soon.”
“Hmm….”
The person respectfully answered back, but his answer didn’t satisfy the mood of this man.
“Please do your works then and be sure to notify me of any changes.”
“Yes sir.”
After that, everyone there returned to their place, focusing on their work.
The man, with the woman then walked into a room, followed by a male and a female individual. They then came out wearing a PPE suits and mask as they then fully sanitized themselves again. They then headed to a room with sign at the top of the door ‘Authorized Access Only’.
The two other individuals left them behind, as they were restricted to enter that place. The male, curiously looked towards the door but was dragged out by the female counterpart.
The man then placed his hand upon a scanner as the machine then scanned his hand, followed by him scanning his iris. The woman also did the same after the man.
The two headed inside as soon as they were granted permission.
As soon as they entered the room, what came into their view was a large tank connected by large pipes and multiple wires that is filled with strange fluid. And within that tank was an unidentified body.

A body with a respirator attached to its mouth and various other tubes and wires attached all over the body.
Upon closer inspection, the body seems like it belonged to fairly young man, with grey-black hair and thin stature and a fairly handsome face. The body seems to be very thin, showing that the body may be in that state for years.
The man then came near the tank, looking towards the unidentified body with a deep gaze.
“Secretary Lynn, how is the fight going on?”
The man then asked the woman, who turned out to be his secretary. The secretary then came forward and started to report him.
“Sir, the Supreme Goddess and young master has fused together. And according to the reports, he is seen wielding a Sword.”
“…!!”
“A sword?”
Shocked by the report, the man then looked towards the secretary with questionable gaze.
“That’s right. The sword is also able to cut through the armor of the unknown NPC, even injuring him.”
“!!”
Shocked, the man then looked again towards the body in the tank. The expression on his face was a sight to behold. He looked like child who was given his most favorite toy after long a long time, with nostalgia and excitement evident in his face.
“You are there. You still exist. I knew you are not the one who will die a boring death.”
The man excitedly shouted as he heard his secretary. Her words gave a boost to the man. His breathing became uneven as he slammed his hands onto the tank and spoke to the b
“Do you know how long I have waited to bring you back to life? How long she waited to see you again?”
“Do you know how long she waited, only to die in the end? She cried, begged me even threatened me with her life to bring you back.”

“But what did she got? Just you, sleeping still while she died crying over here.”
The man’s expression then changed making even his secretary to flinch.
“I will bring you back.”
“And I will have you pay for everything you did to us!!”
The man then said with boiling rage as he soon started to smack the glass with bloodshot eyes, so much so that his secretary has to intervene.
“Please calm down sir.”
“Get away from me!!”
But his rage took over him. He started banging the tank with his bare fist resulting in blood flowing from his knuckles.
“You will pay for the humiliation and pain you made me go through!!”
His eyes full of rage spoke of the unfolded memories. His face turned red and his grinded his teeth.
The situation got worse that it took security personnel to drag the man out of the room.
“Remember!!”
The man shouted, with bloodshot eyes towards the body inside the tank.
“I will be the one who will kill you!!”
The man was dragged forcibly outside of the room. Even though he resisted, his aged body failed him. Finally, he was dragged out before the eyes of everyone there. The people there started to murmur as they probably heard him shouting.
“Silence!!”
His secretary, who was left in the room alone then, silenced everyone as they then hurriedly dispersed.
She then looked towards the tank with a strange gaze.
“What really happened between you two?”
The secretary asked, as she heard of the stories of both his boss and the owner of this body.
“ From being best friends to one hating you so much so that he wants to kill you. How did something like that happened”
Though she asked earnestly, she didn’t get an answer in return.
After that, she left to check on his boss who was dragged out, leaving behind the body and the tank.
Inside the tank, the body can be seen unconscious, but…
Bubble…. Bubble
Twitch!
The left eyebrow twitched, without anyone knowing.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
