Chapter 12

A figure with tattered armor can be seen gloomily gazing at the map before him... its been a rough couple of days for General Kening... "Heck its been a rough couple of years..." the general mutters to himself.

"What were those fiends..? Ugh such a terrifying enemy.. my formations and strategies were useless..." "Sigh" "It's all that fellow's fault, that guy who calls himself 'a not-so suspicious individual'... who is he trying to fool!? He is most certainly suspicious. He has no military discipline whatsoever and on top of that he was nowhere to be found during the entire battle..." Hmmm.. wait.. he coincidently disappears right as we were ambushed..

Perhaps he is the mastermind behind the ambush?" "Lets not rush to conclusions" he mutters to himself… he takes some time to seriously ponder the idea.. "Command explicitly said that this 'not-so suspicious individual' would be a formidable ally but all things considered Command has been acting quite strange lately and now this.."

His mind starts to process many things… new ideas form as others are discarded… a mysterious power emanates from the general… rumors he has heard over the years start to come to mind… things start to align like a jigsaw puzzle.. some time passes as the General eyes widen having come to a frightening conclusion... his face becomes solemn. His fist clenches…

"Even if no one else will stand to defend the Empire I will fulfill my duty..." a crazy glint appears in his eyes as a cold breeze blows through the command tent ruffling his tattered cloak..

"For the Empire" he mutters to himself...
