The forest of death has a certain rule that must be followed! Any creature in the forest know about this rule! The rule was made by the great sage that live in the center of the forest.

No matter what happens, do not make a sound when the sun is gone! That single rule, has been remembered and followed by the beast and all creature that lives inside the forest.

The great sage appeared from nowhere! It was as if the sage was there, inside of the forest all along.

In a few seconds, the trees on the center of the forest were emptied! Even the rock and tall grass were gone! The great sage power made the resident of the forest trembled in fear!

The pressure that was being released from her magic power alone made even the Earth Dragon kneel while holding its head!

From today onwards, this forest is mine! My words is absolute! That words from the sage echoed inside the minds of all the creatures living in the forest. It does not transmitted using sound nor does it was written using letter.

It was imprinted inside the minds of any creature inside the forest. It merged into the consciousness and branded itself on their minds!

The sage then covered the whole forest with a strong barrier! The barrier was pretty strong! Even the human who have always come to the forest now stopped coming!

But now, there is someone who dared to break the rule that the sage have created! A very loud and miserable scream could be heard reverberated in the center of the forest. That loud scream, made every living creatures in the forest to be startled and jumped in fear.

“Aaarrrgghhh!!!”

“You f*cking sh*t! That girly scream of yours is dirtying my ears!! Your scream is not enough! I need to give you more pain it seems!!”

“…. U-uuummm...“

“Shut up!”

I, Karios Gerald, is now being tortured by using a strange magic! It made my body and even my organs to be in pain!

Not only I’m feeling pain, when I was about to lose my consciousness, there is this refreshing feeling that keep me awake! I don’t know what kind of magic it was but, it sure is hateful and inhumane!

Right now, in the middle of the night. I was screaming for my dear life! I keep struggling and rolling on the wet ground that was drenched by my own sweats! Like a fish that was out from water.

Vivian’s face right now looked really cold and indifferent. Her beautiful face looked frozen and expressionless! There is a slit on her iris, like an eagle eyes but with a tint of red glow in it.

While Ellen is kneeling on the ground with both of her knees. She looked really worried while looking at me and there is a hint of guilt in her eyes.

Ellen tried to voice her complain, but with the current Vivian, it was close to impossible! She was even scolded by Vivian to shut up.

Vivian probably want to make her roll on the ground too just like me. But it was without a doubt, Impossible! With Ellen’s being an Overlord, even Vivian is a bit fearful of her.

But Vivian’s anger has reached the heaven right now. Even an Overlord must stand aside to appease her wrath!

“Hahahaha!! [Soul Corrosion].”

“Aaaahhhrrrgghh!!”

Vivian casted another spell while laughing with an expressionless face. The spell she casted this time made me really want to die!

But no matter how hard I tried to voice out my thought, all that came out from my throat is a scream of pain!

“Vivian… You better stop now! Or his life force is going to be burn out! I admit, it’s my fault too. My teasing have gone too far…”

“Teasing… huh?!”

Hearing Ellen’s anxious voice, Vivian only rolled her eyes at Ellen’s direction and then she chuckled. Vivian ignored Ellen’s words and keep watching me rolling around on the ground in pain.

Her eyes still glaring at me but the red glowing light on her iris is now gone.

Vivian then clicked her tongue and then pointed her index finger at me, there is a tiny pale green glowing light at the tips of her finger.

The tiny light then moved to my body. It entered my body without resistant at all. I don’t know what happened but, the pain I experienced just a moment ago disappeared.

My body feel refreshed and my mind has become clearer than ever. It was as though the hellish pain I experienced is nothing but a mere illusion.

But the wet ground and the worried look on Ellen’s face told me that it was reality!

I stared at the two beautiful woman in front of me. One of them has a worried and warm expression while the other one looked cold and expressionless.

They both looked at me staring blankly at them. I know that I looked silly but… who wouldn’t? That hellish pain… a pain that I wish I could die faster…

…. Just what kind of magic that allowed me to not feel a thing after experiencing that torturous pain?! I remember that she let out a tiny glowing light from her finger-tip and then It flew and entered my chest…

“Vi…”

“Don’t you dare call my Name!”

When I tried to call Vivian to apologize, she cut me off with an angry tone! Her expressionless face looked really frightening.

After her outburst, she then glared at me and walked to outside of the tent…. With my current clear headed mind, I realized that her being angry at me, shows that she have a feeling for me!

I was dumbfounded but happy at the same moment! But fixing this situation could be very tricky and dangerous.

I averted my gaze away from the tent entrance and looked at the cause of this hell! When I moved my eyes to look at Ellen, she shyly and awkwardly rolled her eyes to the side.

“So… how are you going to help me fix my and Vivian relationship again?!”

“D-don’t worry… I-I think she just want to be alone for now… maybe?”

“…. Haaahh… What’s with that maybe? Let her cool down first I guess. Anyway, I have been curious about this world and the so called Magic, can you tell me about it?”

I know that blaming her now is just idiotic! It will only hurt her feeling that way. So I just let it go, I even benefited from her too!

So I ask her the most important question that have always been on my mind since coming to this world.

With my clear and refreshed mind right now. I believe that i could remember and understand it better!

“… Right! You still don’t know anything about this world right? Where should I start?”

“Uh.. How about starting from the history about this world? Planet? Or universe? Whatever it was called…”

“Ahaha… Hmm… Then we will begin from this world name first and how it was created…”

Ellen started to tell me about this world. This world name is ‘Erdia’ it was said that this world has existed from the beginning of time. But Ellen said that it was merely a rumor, no one could prove it until now!

There are five continents in this world. The continent of Vargia is the continent we are at right now! While the other four are Golla, Yutarg, Olzor, and Welbur.

In here in Vargia, there is one Empire and many kingdom. The human population is higher than the six major races! In this continent, the demon and the human have always been in conflict for a long time.

They even forgot how it was started. All they now is that none of them can live under the same sky! Or so I was told.

While the demon and the human fight each other, the other races doesn’t care and keep being neutral. Until one day when the human have been driven to a corner by the demons!

The human started to contact the other races. They began to schemes how they could incite conflict with the Demons.

And she said that the human succeeded with their ploy! The demons, with their battle loving nature. They could not tolerate how the other treated them. And so, they declared a war to the whole race in this continent…

The Demons indeed possess that power to fight against all the races in this continent. But it was before, when the previous Demon Lord still alive.

The previous Demon Lord is Vivian’s Father. He is the strongest and smartest Demon Lord that have ever born.

“Wait… So Vivian’s father is the previous Demon Lord? Then… Why is the castle full of people from the church?!”

“Oh.. it was simple actually. Because there’s a lot of traitor that hate the current rule! Vivian changed the rule, stating that; They, the demons cannot fight unless it was necessary… That is why I guess.”

“So it was because of the rule?! But what about her loyal subordinates?! There must be some that is still loyal to the previous Demon Lord right?! Considering she is the daughter of the previous Demon Lord and all!!”

I’m filled more question the more I know about Vivian’s circumstances. It was more complicated than I thought it was!

I asked Ellen about Vivian’s and the previous Demon Lord subordinates but… She only smiled while looking at the entrance of the tent.

“You should ask that to her. I am after all have been living in this forest for quite a long time!”

“I see… Then, can I ask about Magic now?! I was surprised when my right hand shooting out red light! And the next moment, that armored knight become a lump of dust near my feet.”

When I said that I turned the armored knight into a lump of dust, Ellen’s smiling expression became serious! She looked at me with a fervent gaze as if she has found a specimen.

I was startled when I saw her fervent gaze. She’s not going to dissect me right?! The look she’s giving me is dangerous!!

“Chough… Can you tell me about something first?! What do you feel when you shoot? That red light?”

“Hmm… I think, I feel something warm and comfortable moved from the inside of my chest to my hand? Something like that I guess?!”

I said while pondering too, it was rather vague after all. But Ellen made a serious expression while holding her chin. When I saw her serious and pondering look, I was surprised by how beautiful and sexy she looked!

I keep gathering that warm current into the palm of my left hand, the glowing ball of light started to form inside my imagination but, before it was formed completely I can hear Ellen’s voice telling me to stop!

I opened my eyes and looked at the bewildered and confused expression of Ellen.

“Huh? What’s wrong? Am I sick?!”

“No… That’s not it… For now, it’s better if you don’t use magic when i or Vivian is not around!”

I was bewildered and worried by what Ellen just said. She looked as if she’s trying to remember something. Her serious and grave expression made me scared! W-what if my magic is a double edge sword?

I was worried about why she looked like that. But before I could ask her, she then stand up and walked toward the tent entrance and called Vivian name. I was left alone inside this spacious and luxurious tent while pondering if my magic is OP or not…
