18 {Saving someone}

After camping at the waterfall for the rest of the day observing the monsters and evolved wildlife that quenched their thirst while at night, dan meditated and absorbed the rich spiritual energy in the forest while also absorbing the energy from the mid stage cores in his hand.

Finally at around ten am next day morning, after having some protein bars for breakfast dan decided on a target.

Observing his next hunting target dan had the details of the monster in his view.

[ Four armed baboons, week monster by itself, that is why their nature evolved to live in groups of a couple hundred per small groups to thousands for mid-size groups, to protect themselves from strong predators thanks to numbers, with four arms by their side they can maneuver quite well in the forests and jungles , and the extra limbs can be used to trow rocks or anything heavy that fits in their hands and use them as trowing weapons while the other two arms are used to maneuver in the trees, helping them confuse and stay away from predators]

Following the target of his next hunt away from the watering hole, dan was using his superior senses while keeping his distance not to be spotted or alert his target, so that dan could easily locate the breeding grounds of the four armed baboon.

It has already been more than one hour since dan has been tailing his target throughout the forest, observing it eating from time to time some magical medicinal plants found around the forest while traveling inwards , that look like alienated fruits not found anywhere on the outside of the dungeon, but seems familiar to dan because of his memories, while also stopping and observing fights of other creatures while it was up in the tree.

all of a sudden the life-force he sensed stopped and acted suspiciously.

From its actions dan could tell the the Four armed baboon's attention was grabbed by something.

Being curious himself about what the baboon is witnessing, dan decided to go and have a look as swell, even if he lost the Four armed baboon , and had to search for it later , his curiosity made him not care.

but to be on the safe side dan tried his best not to alert the four armed baboon.

choosing to go from the left side, dan proceeded in a circular path , while also using his [superior senses] skill actively, for other lifeforms, while getting closer and closer to where the baboon was looking at.

arriving at the destination dan was met with a cliff overseeing huge land covered with few threes and huge ponds and a river could be spotted a few kilometres further in , a very beautiful scenery from the top of the cliff where he was standing.

the reason dan couldn't sense what the baboon has found is because the target of the four armed baboon's observation is down below the cliff which is a couple of hundred meters away, too far for Dan's [superior senses] skill to be able to sense the lifeforms at the bottom of the cliff.

To be able to observe further with his superior sense dan would have to increase the level of the skill , which would require time and training.

Observing with his eyes while he still kept his superior senses active so that he could be aware if anything approaching him from his back while at the same time keeping an eye on the evolved baboon.

at the bottom of the cliff dan could make out the human silhouettes of whom seemed to be a group of close to hundred, running along the cliff towards dan's right side while behind the group a few hundred meters away seemed to be a horde of what seemed like insects.

Willing some of the spiritual energy under his control, dan used his great control to directed a small amount of energy to his eye's , with such fine control and skillfulness , that if it wasn't for his memories filled with experience, dan would not have been able to achieve as a beginner.

A beginner trying to control the energy to achieve the same result as dan might end up destroying his eyes, but such an action seemed easy for the current dan.

Imbuing energy into his eyes dan is able to control the distance of his vision as if using binoculars, but since his physique isn't strong enough , he isn't able to currently put to much strain on his eyes or else the worst thing that could happen would be for the eye's to explode because of the excess energy or the least would be to lose vision in his eyes, and all this was only possible because of his memories filled with experience.

Zooming in on the horde of bugs or insects dan could finally make out the type of insects in the group, it was all made up of ants , but it was still to far to make out and observe all the details of the horde, moving his sight to the fleeing group that was closer to him , dan was able to see the details of some individuals in the group and he became surprised and a little happy after considering how this might go.

'well this is great , if i want to progress faster and acquire a ton of resources , especially not to waist the carcasses of the monsters i killed , i would need a lot of manpower to help with carrying them back to a base of operation where the resources from the monsters can be harvested while also getting miners to mine precious metals and if I'm lucky to find, spirit-stones as well, I cant let this opportunity slide , i need to help them, and subdue them under my strength and rule . ahh , am i grateful for the low of the jungle at this moment or not?'

'too bad they are to far to use [scan] otherwise i could be more informed about their abilities.'

with a grin on his face dan proceeded to make his plan while the chase at the bottom was still happening ,

observing his surroundings finding trees behind him and to his sides, dan decided to use them as blunt trowing weapons, from this height the ants would definitely not survive such attacks .

'hmm, but i still need a way to help that group to clime up the cliff, lets see, are there any vines ? '

looking along the cliff dan discovered that there was a patch of vines 60 meters on his left, close to the area where the evolved baboon is resting and observing the show below.

Not caring about scaring the baboon away from here dan proceeded next to the vines that where growing all the way down the cliff, some in a straight line , others growing sideways along the cliff.

'hehe , great , with this i can help them come up , now to grab their attention so that the group could notice the vines.'

looking below to see the position of the fleeing group dan could see that they were about ninety meters away, not giving dan much time before they flee further to the right away from the vines.

turning around facing the trees dan proceeded to start punching the huge trunks of the trees with all his strength, with every hit , a chunk would be broken off, it only took dan twenty-five quick full powered punches to tear enough chunks from the tree almost reaching the end of the trunk, before he went behind it and pushed with all his strength to make it fall down the cliff.

Following the sound that came from the cliff the strongest worrier of the group notices a tree under the cliff , which baffled him only for a second , because the nest moment he could see the vines behind the tree, that lead all the way to the top.

Feeling that all was not lost he shouted towards the group behind him and instructed them to follow him and they directed themselves towards the cliff.

'ohh great, looks like their attention was garbed , i guess since they are in a crises, they do not have time to stop and think whether its safe to come up'

With a grin on his face dan continued to wreck havoc with his punches to the surrounding trees, to make himself some throw-able blunt weapons.

While dan was preparing for his next action , the fleeing group was running towards the cliff, and by the time dan has destroyed the huge trunks of thirty threes, the group has already started to climb up leaving the week and old climb first while the strong warriors stayed at the bottom to make sure they all climbed and to defend against the ants just in case they got close to start attacking the fleeing group.

After destroying the fortieth tree trunk, dan proceeded to observe the progress of the climbing group and the location of the ant horde that was pursuing them.

Part of the group was already a quarter up the cliff , but there where still a few that haven climbed yet, waiting at the bottom .

' ah damn looks like they wont climb in time before those ants start a massacre at the bottom, hehe lets start raining treees on those motherfucking ants.'

Although dan is not strong enough to lift the giant trees with his bare hands and mid-stage strength to launch them hundreds of meters in the sky, he could achieve a similar effect of trowing the far away , thanks to the fact that he is on a cliff right now.

All the tree trunks where arranged in a row, having the top of the trunk that was filled with branches facing the cliff and the bottom of the trunk where it was rugged and had broken parts instead of a smooth surface because dan used his punches instead of a cutting tool, facing the forest.

Looking at the tree dan was about to launch off the cliff dan proceeded to distance himself about five meters from the trunk before he faced it and started to run towards the tree with all his mid stage might, when he got close to it , dan punched out using the kinetic force behind his full speed run and combining it with his row mid stage strength while punching in the middle of the trunk, transferring all the momentum and energy into the tree making it slide forewords with great speed, resulting the tree flying in the air wile falling down the cliff in an arc like trajectory.
