14 {" How the hell did you get over your snake phobia?"}

Arriving home dan was exhausted and all he wanted was a cold cold shower and to lay down

Although his stamina regenerates faster than before thanks to his vitality and strength being in mid stage, fighting all day non stop will lead to over exhaustion even for him, unless he could acquire a phenomenal recovery ability.

Catalina sitting in the living room watching tv hears a key entering the door and a click sound before the door is flung open , looking toward the sound she lays eyes on her brother that is cover in blood and carrying a green looking antler on his back with one hand and in the other a bag filled with something that she couldn't see yet.

Before she razes a question she hears

"Sis , bring me a towel and shorts, i'm gonna rinse the blood with a hose before entering the house further to take a shower , and also there some meet in this bag , make sure to put it in the freezer

Catalina proceeded with the request while the terrifying bloody figure of her brother kept sending chills in her heart and waited for her brother to be done before filling her curious mind.

For the remainder of the evening dan recounted a short version of what happened while his sister listened with glowing eyes and kept observing the beautiful Emerald antler that looked the Crystals when light was shined on it,

At the end of the story she couldn't wait to ask the question that kept bugging her the most.

"Bro"

"Yes?"

" How the hell did you get over your snake phobia?"

Asked catalina wile intensely staring at him

When dan hears that question , it reminds him of something buried deep in his memory about a long time ago, the fact that he used to have a snake phobia, which was actually dealt with a couple of years in the future where he ends up slaughtering a couple of hundreds of [Flying Crystal Pythons] because of a loss he had to face that day at the fangs of the [three headed Crystal Xiangliu ] their leader.

Puting that memory in the back of his mind which also brought even more resolution for Dan to increase his strength he replied with what he thought might be good advice.

"I guess because of a realization i once had, the fear and phobias are only negative emotions that you bring to yourself inside your mind, and once you can understand and control those emotions you can overcome anything, it's all about point of view, also it helps that once i had a very vivid dread of me slaughtering almost close to two thousand snakes"

Listening to her brother catalina was thinking deeply of how to apply those words to herself, which was helping her see reality in a different light. But to fully have her own realization , she will need to experience and observe life through herself and her own eyes. Wisdom of others can only help to be used as direction indicators.

"Thank you bro, those words gave me some form of clarity, but it's getting late so i better sleep, and i really look forward to the snake armor, the scales look quite pretty"

The next day early morning, catalina got up early, now that she got used to the waking time she didn't feel much bothered.

'I understand the beauty of the quiet morning now, everything being quite and peaceful is a wonderful feeling'

Dan was currently up as well and making sure he had all he needed for his second trip in the [Emerald Essence Canopy]

'Although i would love to continue and explore further into the forest , the best step right now for me is to hunt and train my [Superior senses] until i reach a bottleneck, although the experience from my past life helps allot , my body needs to be trained to the point it reacts instinctively to any life threatening attack, and these Emerald Leaf Snakes with their sneak attack are the best training partners for now'

For the following three days Dan hunted in the periphery of the entrance, never going beyond the one kilometre circular range from the Dungeons Gate.

Until he finally made some progress in the midday of his third day of training

[Superior Senses] Mid-stage passive

Able to sense any movement in the area of 100 meters around the host and sense any killing intent directed at him from as far as 500 meters as long as the opponent is looking directly at him.

With excitement on his face Dan shouted excitedly

"Awesome" at the top of his lungs looking at the sky while his left leg is positioned atop the Emerald Antler Elks ass.

If it wasn't for the high spirit stat, dan wouldn't have such a big sensing area, at most it would be less than half, if his spirit stat was in the mid range

Readjusting his view back to the ground in front of him and coming out of his excitement , Dan continues with dissecting the two Emerald antler Elks of their antlers and the five Emerald leaf snakes that tried to ambush him , but failed and ended up entangled together.

'I release the grip on my nth backup hatchet that is about to break apart and drop it on the ground and proceed to hammer the skulls of the Elks so that i can remove the Emerald Antlers'

'This method to lure the couple of Emerald Leaf Snakes in the vicinity to the scent of their favorite food the Emerald Antler Elks has increased the hunting efficiency by a big amount'

The Emerald Antler Elk is easy to find if you can spot the Green Vined watermelon that is what they love to eat and spread the scent of the food around an area, it will lure one or two Emerald Antler Elks , and after they are dealt with and the scent of their blood is spread, it would be the turn of the Emerald Leaf Snakes to show up, and thanks to their instincts to attack from blind spots, it has improved dans inexperienced body battle instinct faster than if he were to just blindly look for opponents and it also increase his gains greatly compared to the first day he came here.

'Although these antlers are annoying to carry because of the big size, making the blade of as spear out of one of the sharp and strait Emerald antlers will provide me with a great makeshift Mid-Stage weapon that will allow me to breeze through most of the mid-stage monsters and i might be able to kill some of the High-Stage monsters that have low defense, and i currently need every good material i can find'

With that in mind I make my way back to my small camp by the entrance outside of the Emerald Essence Canopy dungeon to grab a bite and drop the acquired loot before i had back in and finish the day with a couple more kills.

' with today's spoils added up i have a total of twenty three emerald antlers and a total of 18 mid-stage monster cores from the Elks that i hunted and 108 mid stage monster cores from the Emerald Leaf Snakes that i lured , witch bring the total amount of mid stage monster cores to 126 after only a couple of days, which is a very big difference to the five monster cores i was getting in the past future.'

But for dan to rise one of his stats and breakthrough from mid-stage to high-stage would require at least 6000 mid stage monster cores or 600 high stage monster cores

'Ahh, it's still a far cry from what i need, this just makes me miss those goblins, ahh, so easy to hunt them'

'But since my senses are so much better now, i should start spending a few days in the dungeon and go deeper to increase the scale of opponents to hunt, and with the mid-stage weapon that i shall acquire soon made from the Emerald Antlers, i shall be able to kill beginner high stage monster and all the mid-stage that i come across'

'But most of all i am looking forward to the treasures that i can find'

In the past when dan was strong enough to join a team and hunt in the Emerald Essence Dungeon , all the unique, rare and special treasures where already striped away from this dungeon and even when his team found something good , the only thing dan got was an extra share of monster cores while the good stuff was kept by the strong

And since a Fragmented world dungeon does not reset its topography and unique treasures since it's a shared space unlike the Goblin dungeon which resets every time you exit. The unique and powerful treasures won't appear again.

Unfortunately the only treasure that dan is aware of are the [Nature fruit] rumored to give someone the affinity to cast nature magic and the [Energized soil] that can be excavated from the deeper regions of the forest

To bad information wasn't shared much to the public , especially when it came to treasures that can boost strength, after all know-one will give you knowledge and teach you how to overthrow them, or else dan might have already departed to acquire the treasures that would increase his strength to the high stages without the need to spend so much time to farm for Mid-stage monster cores

And the only reason dan was aware of the [Nature fruit] is because of some rumors he heard in pubs or in passing, and if it was true than the culprit that acquired this unique medicine is the underling of the lord of this area in his past, which in Dan's opinion , he should get skinned alive while boiled to death, that's just how horrible the weakling and citizens that lived under his protection got treated, to the point that everyone wished for that lord's death.

And as for the [energized soil], it was a good material that was located all over in the inner area, so much in fact that it never ran out, and anyone that could survive and make it out of the dungeon alive could go and excavate it.

The energized soil was very desirable for farms and anyone that wanted to cultivate medicinal or magical plants of all varieties up to mid-stage

Packing up the camp and his equipment dan heads home where he hoses himself with water and than heads for a nice warm shower before joining his sister on the couch with a nice piece of fat juicy elk meat on his plate with some potato mash and mushroom sauce while enjoying a joint

'Ahh this is life'

The next day morning dan oversleeps for a few hrs and after he wakes up and is done with breakfast he goes outside and witness his sister hard at work focused in training and exhausting herself

'I don't plan on bothering her so i head to where all the resources and material are stored and choose 4 emerald antlers that have the best branches that are to my liking

The branches are straight and have a very pointy and sharp end , having them as spear heads would be the best way to use them, and each Emerald Antler has a total of twelve branches so one emerald antler is enough to provide me with about eight spear heads, so taking two antlers with me to be cut should be good enough for now, but i am wondering if it will be easy to cut through them '

'The big problem lies in the questions that the smith worker might have and the attention i might get if he shares what he sow, but i guess by the time someone approaches me to find out where i got this green emerald like antler material i should be stronger if i focus completely on hunting and gathering mid-stage monster cores, and i can easily not be bothered by them, but business could still be done'
