9 {Relaxing with Catalina}

For the next whole month Dan continued with the same routine over and over increasing in speed, resulting in his speed, stamina and techniques getting better and stronger.

Dan would hunt in the goblin dungeon for twenty hours out of the day , the other four hours were split, two hours spent on absorbing the accumulated monster cores and the other two hours separated for small lunch breaks spread throughout the day.

His dungeon speed decreased from the initial 15 minutes to 10 minutes only after the first week , and by the time he maxed out the stats he could, to the peak of Mid-stage, because he didn't have the resources required to enter high-stage

And even with the increased strength he couldn't decrease the time further than 7 minutes until the last few days when he was able to do a run in 6 minutes close to his initial calculations.

All thanks to finally being able to fully unleash a movement technique that he met the requirements to train, and through intense training it was increased to mid-stage so the speed increase wasn't anything special, but still better than nothing.

'Argh'

Dan released a sigh filled with satisfaction while exiting the dungeon on his last day of training.

Happy at his gains over the past month.

After the thought of the chaotic system interface passed through his mind the interface appeared in his view.

Overcome your opponents by swiftly and precisely moving around them and taking control of the battle delivering your own blows and dodging your enemies attacks.

While hunting Dan moved in a very fast, quiet and light way which gave him superior control against his opponents, after repetitive use of this movement technique , his body and muscles developed in a way that allows him to follow the flow of the technique in a much easier way.

Increase accuracy slightly while using any type of bow.

Constant use of the small crossbow, and after constant adjustments to make sure not to miss your mark, with the repetitiveness of all these actions it allowed Dan to have better understanding which led to the system acknowledging that Dan's understanding in usage of the bow has reached a high-stage of understanding meaning that even a high-stage opponent might find it hard to dodge hiss arrow bolts.

Title acquired after killing 100,000 goblins, from now on whenever a goblin is in your presence or lays its lowly dull eyes on you there is a chance that it will be struck by fear, the weaker the goblin the longer it will be frozen by fear in place.

'Unfortunately to reach the high stages i'll need mid-stage monster cores or high-stage ones, but i'm thankful to have made so much progress , as for the rest of the low stage monster cores , there will be other uses for them later.'

The reason Dan cannot use the low stage monster cores to continue increasing in stage is purely because the low stage monster cores don't have the pure essence that is found in mid stage monster cores or for even purer and more abundant essence which is found in the high stage monster core, The purer form of the essence is required in high amounts to be able to elevate the stats to the stages to a higher level and overcome the last step.

And his goal for even a single increase in one stat from mid to high stage will require the minimum 6000 mid stage monster cores or 600 high stage monster cores.

Giving a last glance at his profile Dan continued with the packing of all his equipment and camping gear. It was time for him to head home and have a break.

'For the next few days I'll just chill and relax at home before searching for the next training location.

A couple of hrs later, Dan arrived home, after carrying all his bags from his car to his flat he went straight for a shower.

'Ahh, finally some rest, to bad i don't have a bath or else this would have been so much more relaxing , taking a quite long bath with a joint instead of a shower'

'Should I change flats?'

'Nah, i'm good, no need to go through so much hassle just to get a bath'

'Ohh, completely forgot that i'll have to get a house soon, so that idea is redundant'

Thought Dan to himself .

Getting out of the shower, dressing himself up , Dan continues with making himself a quick meal , tuna rice salad and then orders some fast food online.

With his new risen vitality and strength Dan has a stronger body and organs resulting in metabolism witch help him digest any food that's considered of a low-stage almost instantly because of his mid stage foundations, and currently any food in his world is low-stage, for mid-stage or higher tiered food, Dan would have to hunt the appropriate leveled monster or find an environment with higher intensity of ambient energy where mid-stage and above food grows but such foods won't be available publicly for a long time.

But if Dan wants he could locate the location of stronger dungeons

Ring..ring...ring

"Hello, bro , what's up, i couldn't reach you at all this month, if mom didn't tell me what you where going in the forest to camp at train i would have been so worried"

"Are you done with survival training and camping ?"

"Where did you train, how was it , did you...…

Catalina fired a bunch of questions bursting from her curious mind not giving Dan time to answer them.

"Sis, sis, calm down , stop with all these questions , i called to invite you over to chill and relax , i ordered some take out, you in?"

"Yeah sure, luckily i have the today off and the weekend as well so i have a short vacation"

"I'll be over in about 40 minutes"

"Good timing , the food should be ready by than

Turning off the phone , Catalina exits the clothing shop she was in , and heads to the private parking area to retrieve her car.

'I'm really curious about what happened to him this month. Knowing my brother he would never just quit his job for training without having something to fall on, and he is too lazy to go training, no?'

'Hmm what changed'

Inserting the key in the door and entering the apartment is Dan's sister, Catalina , standing a meter and a half tall young woman covered in an over-sized t-shirt and shorts , black brown hair that reaches the shoulders and eyes the color of earth.

"Yo bro, how are you?"

"Daim , bro, look at you, where did all your chubbiness go?"

Followed by a sniff sniff Catalina says

"Nice smell, where did u get this weed , and since when do you know where to get it by yourself?"

Asked Catalina in puzzlement

"Nice timing sis, the food should be here in about 10 minutes, as from where i got this, well, its a short story"

"Come have a puff, and ill tell you"

Dan proceeds to recount a quick version of what he did before his one month of training, about how he stole some cash and goodies from a drug safe house while the guard or dealer was sleeping. Who knows what might have happened to him by now , but Dan doesn't care for scum that harm innocent life.

At first his sister couldn't believe the story, but remembering that her brother has always been honest with family, she didn't doubt him.

After recounting the story Dan proceeded with showing to Catalina the Duffel bag's full of cash and the green stuff he got , with a grin on his face.

'So that's why he quit his job, he has a good amount of, lets say savings to fall on to '

Although Catalina felt happy for him, she also felt more dread and worry, afraid that he might get hurt or worse, if he is found out.

Dan noticed the worry in her eyes , but before Catalina could put out a question, Dan proceed to punch the wall

Boom , an explosion-like sound blasted in the room while the walls trembled, and it made Catalina's ears ring as she was taken by surprise by her brother's action.

That action and sound woke her from her thought process, blasting the worry that was flashing in her mind.

A gasp came from Catalina mouth before her mind started processing what had just happened.

Next she hears her brother's voice attracting her attention.

"This is what one month off my type of training allows me to achieve right now, do you need to worry about what dangers I will face from the gangsters?, especially since they don't know me"

"How the fuck is it possible to punch a 10 centimetre deep hole in the wall after one month of training!!"

Said aloud Catalina, with more questions now blasting her mind into chaos while hear heartbeat increased almost jumping out of her chest

"hehe it's a secret"

Dan said with a grin on his face

"Oh come on bro , just tell me!!"

"sure, i can show you instead, but you need to take next week off and you better call now, as for today i wanna chill"

After giving it some thought Catalina and calming down, she picks up her phone and calls the company she works at requesting a week vacation , because of some family problems as an excuse

Ending the call the brother and sister duo continue to roll a joint and watch some comedies while eating the delicious take out.
