7 {Ding! [Goblin dungeon] low-stage}

Two Days later

'In the new era which will probably still be dubbed the same in the future 'the evolution era' many changes will occur.

One of the prominent changes is the training that is publicly known to help increase the foundations of the race as a whole. '

'From this public training, I have been planning to use the [ Essence absorption ] a spiritual increasing technique.'

The technique would only be helpful to increase my spirit stat to the mid tier in a much faster time than what i was able to achieve the first time around , but with my spirit reaching the peak of the top tier with only a step away from stepping into the peak tier all i need to do is increase my other stats to the middle tier and i would be able to skip training this low level technique meant for week beings that have just started on the path of evolution. '

'And this is where it gets interesting, my memories are stabilizing and the first year in the new era is something I remember quite well, especially on the day the dungeon break happened and the system descended on multiple hosts, it left a message. '

'And that's what bugged me, the chaotic system clearly said that it came to assist the second the dungeons appeared , meaning that since I have the system now the dungeons probably have already appeared in the world. '

That's right Dan just figured out that the dungeons have also been on earth before the dungeon break had happened which will lead him to do plenty of hunting to grow stronger from an earlier time, getting a head start.

'If the dungeons are already here, now. With the memories i already have, the location of all the dungeons in the vicinity that i already know of, and their approximate locations , i can start collecting resources earlier'

'I'll need all the monster cores and skill fragments that i can get, first dungeon hunt will be the [goblin dungeon]'

Arriving at the dungeon location around the area he remembered, Dan started to search for the entrance

'I should have guessed that the entrance would be hard to find, even the terrain is different from what i remember'

But thankfully the landmark is the same old giant moss boulder, although it did take twenty minutes to find the location of the boulder.

The dungeon entrance is located on the left side of the boulder facing north, when Dan looked at it he was confused. Staring at a small hole.

'The entrance is 30 cm wide!?

'What the hell?'

'Good thing i am prepared and got a shovel'

After picking up the equipment from his jeep, Dan started shoveling the entrance to the cave with a pondering look on his face, wondering why the entrance wasn't 4 metres wide, the way he remembers it.

Twenty-five minutes later Dan was done expanding the hole to a 2 meter wide and 1 meter deep, and the deeper he shoveled the wider the hole got, allowing for passage to an adult sized human.

'The deeper I dig the more the cave will open and I should be able to officially enter the dungeon and start my training on these goblins and get some monster cores.

If I get lucky I might get some equipment or skill fragments. '

After turning on the flash light , what appeared in front of Dan was a cave about 5 meters wide and having moss covering the sides of the wall.

The light of the flashlight could only light 10 metres in front of him , so his visual wasn't that great beyond those 10 meters.

Walking forward, Dan noticed the cave entrance have no traps, and no goblins, witch was strange since in the past , when you asked any one that hunted here, about the dungeon , they will all mention the same information,

Before officially entering the dungeon , the path of the cave would have three traps to overcome

First would be a hole covered with moss and at the bottom some wooden spikes, if you didn't pay attention you can consider yourself crippled before even entering the dungeon, if lucky.

The second trap would have a trip wire connected to a net that would drop rocks on whomever triggered it. But if you pay attention it's also easy to spot and avoid or trigger from far away with a long range attack.

The third trap would be at the turn of the path the cave takes before entering the chamber or area that hosts a few goblins and where the main hunting begins, this trap was the most easy to overcome and vicious if not, at the same time.

It consisted of thirteen holes, 6 meters deep, with nothing at the bottom, so if someone fell they would be stuck, if they don't have a way out, whoever is stuck there will become a victim or plaything of the goblins.

This trap was easy only if you know where not to step, which thankfully never changed, allowing the experienced and prepared adventurers and hunters to not fall for it.

Passing through this unrecognizable path , Dan had an inquisitive look , not understanding the reasons behind these changes.

' Ugh, it's pointless to let these questions fly around my head, who the hell am I supposed to ask for answers now? The system won't give me any and at this point it's kinda pointless, might as well just focus on training and be prepared for any other changes'

Step by step Dan walked past the area of where the final trap was supposed to be, while grumbling he proceeds towards the dungeon's official entrance where he will face his first opponent since his return.

Facing the entrance a few notifications popped up in his view after he cast his scan ability he got from the system

'Well ain't this a surprise, now i'll have to get rid of the thought streams that are flooded with all the questions that i still have no answers for, but the only clue is that the requirements for the bonus that the title will provide, have something with dungeons, so maybe after locating other dungeons the bonus will be unlocked?'

'Hmm , what if I scan the title '

Scan, Dan thought to himself to activate the skill while looking at the Title he acquired

'Well that sucks, I guess I'll try when the skill increases in stages, as for right now , let's see what these low stage goblins have to offer.... Wait a minute , low-stage? Isn't this dungeon supposed to be mid-stage?'

'argh , now more questions'

'Screw it, i'll just focus on getting stronger, only then might i find answers '

The new cave area that Dan entered witch is the dungeons first area is a bowl shaped interior, 10 meters wide and 50 meters long

Two meters away from the dungeon's entrance Dan spotted two goblin guards, facing the entrance waiting for intruders, which at this moment was Dan.

The goblin soldiers were poorly equipped, only some rags covering their private parts and a wooden club for weapons, the goblins barely reached 1 meter tall , reaching to Dan's chest.

Dan, hatchet in hand for a weapon, since it's easier to acquire than swords or other medieval and current military weapons, didn't want to strain himself too much by facing more than his current physical strength and stamina can withstand, even if it's just a goblin.

'Evolving and upgrading my stats is a priority before I start straining myself in a fight against multiple opponents to train my martial arts and techniques.

Observing the goblins Dan produced a quick plan to deal with them

Attaching the hatchet back to its holster on his right side, Dan extended his left arm to his back and grabbed the single handed crossbow he acquired from a hunters shop..

'I guess this single handed crossbow will only be useful on low and mid stage life forms , i should take advantage of this to save time and increase my survivability before engage in close quarter combat'

Little grey creatures that live at the bottom of the food chain unless intelligence is introduced.

With his other free hand , Dan grabs a small pebble from the ground and throws it one meter behind the little grey goblin on the left, the sound attracts the goblins curiosity , but the moment it turned to check what it is, it hears another swish sound from its back where it was initially observing the entrance , Confused and alert the goblin turns back only to witness it's partner with an arrow between the eyes , falling on its back.

The goblin, with alertness and vigilance in its eyes was woken from its flabbergasted and surprised state of witnessing a fellow comrade die, because this time it hear the same swish sound, only to turn to the source of the sound and seeing a giant arrow-head in front of its pitiful eyes only to have its vision and conscious blackened in the next moment.

'Best way to kill, don't give your opponent time to react to the situation, one of the lessons from my past.

Walking towards his first kills of the day , Dan takes out the dagger he prepared beforehand and stabs in their chests looking for a monster core, unfortunately for him, none of these goblins had one, with disappointment flashing through his eyes, Dan continues to walk deeper into the dungeon, looking for more targets.
