《Demon Forever》22- Planning to steal from everyone

Royal Palace
Throne room
The Golden King was impatiently walking back and forth in front of the throne. He seemed to have a lot on his mind.
Zenith appeared in the throne room like a ghost and knelt on the ground saying: “Your Majesty. Everything happened just like you said it would happen. He came back to the temple only to be ambushed by the Underworld king.”
“What happened after?” The Golden King asked. He knew that the /light Emissary/ art would never allow the host to die so easily.
Zenith said: “They fought for a while...but something unexpected happened...”
“What? Did he die?” The Golden finally sat on his throne.
“No...He seems to have gained another power on top of the other two he already has...It felt like he was igniting a law of fire...He probably gained another Inner world...” Zenith said.
“Where is this new law coming from? It can’t be the ancestral awakening.” The golden King thought out loud.
“He once told me that he got the help of a fire dragon to cultivate a divine body of fire...I saw him use a weird fire while he was sparring against my disciple a few days after he arrived on this planet...It must be that his affinity with fire evolved to the point of igniting a law inside of him.” Zenith explained.
“Is he still alive? It’s impossible for his body to withstand so much power...” The king said.
“He looks fine...My men are following him as we speak...If something happens to him we’ll be the first to know...” Zenith said.
“I am guessing that the Underworld King got what he was looking for...I had hoped that he would kill the half-demon but he’s always had a soft spot for the Light Bringer...he cannot bring himself to kill one of his disciples...Sigh...Now we have another being above us on this planet...If Allan goes mad and comes to me for revenge, I can’t say that I can survive...” The king helplessly said.
“He’s alone...If you and the Dark king move together, you are sure to win against him...” Zenith said.
“That madman would rather see my demise even at the cost of his life...there no way for us to agree to a truce even if I offer him that formation on a silver platter...With the soul energy crystals, I have a chance at surpassing the Dark King and ending this war once and for all...We’ve been at the same level for a long time...It has to end with the annihilation of the demon races on this planet...” the golden King said
“Build a powerful seal around the place where the altar used to be...If another being uses the same teleportation node that Allan used to get here, I want them dead. We have one problem already, let’s not allow for more to arise...”The golden king commanded as he left the throne room.

Orwyn continent, Gray planet.
Hagar, the dream demon tasked to bring Allan to the Dark King, was brooding over the failure of his subordinate.
The subordinate, also a dream demon, had been killed by the Golden king moments after Djen’s escape. Fortunately, the dream demon had managed to escape to the astral plane before he was killed.
The astral plane was the place where dream demons could interact with each other. Their own world.
The dream demon race was the only known race with access to that place and their status in the Dark Kingdom was high thanks to that ability.

It allowed them to act as messengers and scribes, making use of their ability to secretly or openly deliver information through dreams as well as keep important documents out of reach in the astral plane.
Their consciousness could escape death by sending it to the astral plane where they could wait for revival or simply live there indefinitely. In a way, it was also their paradise.
Hagar was once again ascending the endless stairs towards the palace.
When he arrived, a cold voice was heard: “Why are you alone?”
Hagar immediately bowed in fear and said: “Pardon me, your highness, but the Golden King and his daughter ended up intervening. The target also appeared to have experienced ancestral awakening and then fought against the father and daughter. The target escaped unharmed. All this was reported by my subordinate who now rests in the astral plane after being killed by the Golden King himself.”
“WHAT?” the voice sounded shocked.
The giant doors opened and a graceful silhouette appeared. It was the Dark King’s sister again.
“Do you have a memory stone to back your story?” The dark princess asked.
“Yes, Your Highness.” Hagar produced a memory stone in which his subordinate had recorded everything he had seen until his death.
The princess took the memory stone and sent her consciousness into it. She frowned as she saw the scenes presented to her.
She said: “This may be a good thing for us. Find him and invite him here, I’ll take care of the rest.”
“Yes, your highness.”

Grayhell continent, Lumos planet.
A humanoid figure was hovering above a mountain.
The humanoid looked like a man. He wore a blue robe. The skin was red. Two spiral horns could be seen on the humanoid’s forehead. Long pointy ears and monstrous teeth. A two-meter long tail.
It looked like the humanoid was trying hard to look like a human.
“I guess this as far as I can morph close to a human.” The humanoid helplessly said.
It was Arkul who had just ascended to the Ascendant god realm.
Not far from him, Alistair and Cain were patiently waiting for orders. They too had reached the Ascendant god realm thanks to Arkul helping them ignite the Law of fire inside of their demonic cores.
Arkul turned around to face them saying: “You can now go make sure that the other dragon warriors reach the required levels. I will stay here and keep cultivating.”
“Yes, sir.” both said at the same time before they left.
Arkul descended on the mountain and entered the usual cave he was previously using to cultivate.
Arkul thought: “I should reach the Law seekers realm just to be safe. Maybe reaching that realm will allow me to force my way into those ruins, but it’s highly unlikely that it is possible...I will draw upon the memories of my race to cultivate to the Law seekers realm in no time...After all, it’s just further comprehending the law you ignited and the information my race left behind in my bloodline is sufficient to allow me to reach the Law seekers realm effortlessly ... ”
He sealed the entrance of the cave and then closed his eyes, immersing himself in cultivation.
In the Fire Ascension sect, Cain and Alistair were carrying out Arkul orders. They were supervising the cultivation of the dragon warriors.
With an almost endless amount of soul energy crystals, it was an easy road to reach the peak of the Primordial god realm with their demonic cores.
Arkul wanted a small force under him to show some strength in the world in which Allan was trapped.

With Cain and Alistair being brought to the Ascendant god realm he could focus on his own cultivation and leave the Fire ascension sect in their capable hands.
“Cain, do you think that we’re now stronger than Allan? He was but a simple God when he left.” Alistair asked.
They were both hovering above the Tower of the fire god, looking at the dragon warriors that were cultivating inside.
“What nonsense are you spouting? Does it really matter that we’re stronger than him? With Arkul helping him, he’ll surpass us in no time if he hasn’t already.” Said Cain.
Alistair just shook his head and said:“I understand...We’ve both profited immensely just by being close to Allan...”
Cain then took out a short sword with a blood red blade and hilt. He stared at the short sword with fervor. Alistair saw him and said: “Do you believe Arkul when he says that these so-called Eternal Talismans have more potential than us?”
Cain said: “He made this short sword and your four-bladed claw with his own flesh and blood. I believe him. All we have to do is feed them with fire and their level will increase. Ultimately, they will become stronger than us...but since we are the masters, we’ll be the ones to profit from it.”
They were talking about the talismans that Arkul had forged back in Gold sword city. Arkul had created many talismans since then and had gifted them to the dragon warriors but only two talismans were made out of his own body. It was those two talismans that he gave Cain and Alistair.
“Ever since we’ve ignited the law of fire in our demonic cores, I’ve been storing this sword inside the dimension of the demonic core so that it could feed on those flames. You should do the same.” Cain said.
“I thought the same thing as well and put the four-bladed claw inside the demonic core. It ate all the flames until there was nothing left. I learned the hard way that the flames could be extinguished. Since then, I took the claw out and am waiting for the fire to reappear and it does so slowly.” Alistair complained.
In truth, Alistair disdained having to use a talisman to fight and preferred to rely on his own strength. As the space inside a demonic core was comparable to a human’s inner world, he could store objects and people inside of it ever since the primordial god realm. As he had ignited a law of fire, the world inside the demonic core was also made of fire which made it useful to the claw to strengthen itself.
Cain smiled and said: “I know, it happened to me too and I left the sword inside to drink the new fire being reborn. It makes the world of my demonic core look empty. I do not care as long as the sword is strong enough to fight those stronger than me. I also plan on igniting the same law of fire with my human cultivation so that I can have two sources of the same power for the sword to drink from.”
“You’re crazy...oh...look we have our first peak Primordial god.” Alistair said as he watched a youth come out of tower beneath them.
That youth had just broken through the 9th tier of the primordial god realm, just a hair away from igniting a law.
“The first of five hundred and seventy-nine dragon warriors...Impressive. He’s faster than we predicted...does this mean that he’s talented enough?” Cain said.
“Yes. With all of them having soul energy crystal in abundance, it doesn’t matter if one had higher cultivation than the others. It’s all about the body being able to absorb energies faster...At least, that’s what Arkul says.” Alistair nodded.
“We should take note of the order and time in which they come out of the tower and give the results to Arkul. I’m sure he’ll be interested to know what his investment amount to in terms of talent.” Cain said as he stowed away the short sword inside his demonic core.
They stayed above the tower of the fire god and chatted while waiting for all the dragon warriors to reach the peak of the Primordial god realm.

Somewhere on Southhollow continent
Allan was cultivating his /Light emissary/ art in the wilderness. He had chosen a place devoid of civilization to cultivate.
He had used his remaining soul energy crystals to reach the 7th tier of the Primordial god realm in his /light emissary/ art.
His two other sources of power were still at the 1st tier of the Ascendant god realm.
“It’s not like I need this power now. If I ignite another Law, there’s a chance that my body cannot handle the additional power. This /light emissary/ art will have to wait. For now, I need to find a way to gather soul energy crystals.” Allan said
He needed to be able to tread into space, which only Law seekers could barely do even with their abundant energy.
Even if he had more chances than anybody to experience a backlash from housing too much power, he had no choice but to seek that power that will ultimately harm him.
“There are only two large continents on this planet. The Southhollow continent which is inhabited by humans and the Orwyn continent which is inhabited by the demon races. Each continent is under the control of one law seeker...maybe more...I do not fear them but they’d make sure I cannot create soul energy crystals on their territory...That is if I am caught...”
He suddenly had an idea: “What if I inscribed the formation around the planet? That way I can siphon soul energy from their territory and no one will catch me... I can even steal from the underworld king’s souls even if I do not know where he is located...”
The more he thought about it, the more it sounded like a good idea.
“I’m starting now...it’ll take me months...even a year to finish inscribing the formation...”
He started inscribing the formation from where he stood.
A formation usually needed a power source to work and accomplish its task. That power source could be primordial energy or soul energy or any other kind of energy.
The soul energy gathering formation could use the primordial energy in the atmosphere to operate but such a thing could be visible to anyone who had a stronger cultivation. It would just be saying to everyone what he was doing as his actions had to remain secret.
He opted to use a small portion of the soul energy he siphoned as the power source.
Soul energy came from the soul which was an untouchable existence for everyone. The greatness of the formation was that no one would know if a portion of their soul was lost.
“If I am to do this, I better do it under the cover of the night. I can’t be caught trying to inscribe the formation....now...the core of the formation...I must choose the right place for it...”

Just a Rock
There was once a writer that felt like creating a story about a rock. A rock so amazing that its story just needed to be told. How amazing? Not amazing at all, on the contrary, quite ordinary. Don't believe me? Then read on. Edit: Resumed the story. Can’t do any more audio versions for now. I plan on editing some of the now non-applicable author notes and maybe rearranging the two side stories or combining them with the deleted chapters.

The WereLionesses Mate
She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
