《Demon Forever》14- Prisoner

With Sun’s help, he finished setting the formation in less than one year.
In the throne room.
“How many soul energy crystals can you make in a week?” The Golden king asked.
Allan had been urged by Sun to report to the King the moment they had finished to set the formations.
“With the dozen million of inhabitants, I estimate that we can create at least eight million soul energy crystals per week.” Allan said.
The king then asked a difficult question: “How many soul energy crystals go to you?”
“I will take twenty-five percent. It is more than enough for my needs.” Allan said. At the end of the day, he had no power to bargain an equal share.
“Good. Thanks to you, my army will win this war.” The King said. However, his tone was not one of gratitude.
Allan then left with a gloomy face.
He swallowed his anger by furiously cultivating.
Now that he had close to two million soul energy crystals per week, forcing the primordial energy to fuse with his body was as easy as breathing.
The incomplete God realm core went from the 1st tier to the 9th tier in less than three years.
He then broke through to become a Primordial God.
His body now had a complete core that could absorb primordial energy on its own.
The Primordial God realm was about fusing one’s core with one’s inner world. Succeeding meant that one had reached the qualifications to reach the Ascendant God Realm.
His fire core had evolved as well and had completely fused with his own body. As the fire core dissolved in his body, he felt that nothing major had changed. Just that his body had become the core of the fire itself. He now felt that he had become an extension of fire just like he used to be but on a higher level.
Thanks to his fire core fusing with him, his body’s strength now was comparable to a mid-stage Primordial God.
Allan was pondering on whether it was time to unseal himself.
He had previously believed that he had to fuse all his cores at the same time but the Ancestral Awakening was in the way. It would basically create a complete Ascendant God demonic core that had undergone every evolution on its own just like a true demon.
His demonic core was to become independent of his inner world.
He also believed half of what the Golden King had said about the /Light Emissary/ art.
Whether he would be swallowed whole by the Ancestral Awakening or whether the art would be in the way during the awakening remained a mystery to him and also scared him at the same time.

On a mountain that seemed to be devoid of light, a figure slowly ascended the endless stairs that led to a palace.
Dozens of minutes later, the figure had reached the palace’s entrance.
A voice then came out of the palace.
“Hagar. What brings you here?” the voice said.
The figure immediately bowed and said: “Our spies have uncovered something alarming in Linland city.”
The door opened as a beautiful black-robed woman was seen coming out of the palace. She said: “What is it?”

“They can manufacture soul energy crystals on their own. Their army will soon overpower ours with the help of that resource.” the figure, Hagar, said.
The woman then said: “The Galactic Alliance cannot give away such a formation even to their core members. The formation must have come from a third party that is well versed in formations. Anyone that recently appeared in the capital that fits that description?”
“No. No one, but there had been something weird happening in the city.” Hagar said.
“What else?”The woman asked.
“The Golden King’s only daughter, Sun, was seen strolling about all over the city with a young Half Demon God. There are rumors that a clan betrayed you, your majesty.” Hagar said.
“Did you not investigate?” The woman asked surprised.
“We tried to match his demonic energy signature with all known demonic clans, even the fallen ones, but we found nothing that indicates his origins. It’s like he appeared out of nowhere.”Hagar said.
“That Edward Vimis also appeared out of nowhere as well. Before I killed him he said something about coming from another world. It’s possible that the half-demon comes from another world as well. And him being alive in Linland city and being seen with the Golden King’s daughter is very intriguing.” The woman said. She added: “It’s possible that he’s the one who has knowledge about Formations. Bring him to me.”
“Yes, your highness.” Hagar said as he disappeared.
The woman stayed there as if caught in her thoughts.
After a moment, she sighed and said: “I should go tell my brother about this, but I am afraid that in his rage, a new war will start...I’m tired of this. So many of us die for nothing at all and the Underworld king keeps laughing at us as his underworld is overfilled with souls.”
**
Allan was cultivating in his room as a knock was heard.
He opened his eyes and went to open the door.
It was Sun.
She said: “ The king wants us to set a formation in another city.”
“Isn’t Linland city enough?” Allan asked.
“No.” Sun said.
Allan inwardly sighed and then jokingly said: “Why not the entire continent?”
“He’s been thinking about it.” Sun jokingly said.
Allan almost fell on the ground from shock.
He left with Sun for Blackshadow city, the second greatest city of the Southhollow continent.
***
Two days after Allan’s teleportation.
John Brower had stayed in the ruins in front of the teleportation formation.
“What can I do now?” John asked himself.
“If I leave this place, I’m going to have to explain to his guards why he stayed behind. I doubt that they will let me and my sect off easily after learning that their young master left this world in a teleportation formation.”
“I should’ve listened to that old man when he warned me. Now, the Demonic sword sect is in danger because of me.”
“As long as I do not come out of this place, they’ll never know what happened. Since only those who practice the /Light Emissary/ Art are allowed entry, I should be safe from them for now.”

"I hope he finds a way to come back...I'm also interested in that new world as well...If he doesn't come back in ten years, I will have to use the teleportation formation as well and follow him."
Ten years was the amount of time he had to infuse enough soul energy crystal into the formation.
**
Blackshadow city offered the humans a more relaxed environment to live.
It was close to the ocean and had no imposing military presence like Linland city did.
Sun said: “They call it the second largest city because of its size, but it is the most visited city on the continent. There’s a possibility that the soul energy crystals produced by this city will exceed the production of Linland city.”
“I see why the King cannot wait to have us set the formation as soon as possible.” Allan said. He continued: “Fortunately, the city is small. It will take at least six months to set the formation...”
They started scouring the city, looking for an efficient way to set the formation.
“The golden King asked us to put the soul energy crystal cauldron in this location.”Sun said as she pointed at the center of the city on a map.
The soul energy crystal cauldron was the place where the stolen soul energy was directed by the formation to be refined into soul energy crystals by the formation itself.
“That’s the Golden Army’s barracks.” Allan said.
“Yes. It’s the most protected place in Blackshadow city.” Sun said as she nodded.
Allan then started setting the formation with Sun’s help.
Sun now knew the basics of the soul energy gathering formation, but not enough to be able to set it herself.
Sun worked in front of Allan as she inscribed all she knew about the formation.
All Allan did was fill in the missing spells, halving the time he had to set the whole formation.
Allan was wary of her and made sure not to let her learn the entire formation.
The formation was his and he wanted to keep it that way if he could.
He knew that the Golden King had sent Sun to spy on him as well as keeping an eye on him. He understood that the King could not completely trust him or wanted to steal the formation from him.
He felt like a prisoner and his efforts were never given enough credits. In Allan's mind, he was entitled to at least sixty percent of the soul energy crystals produced.
Five months later, the formation had been completely set.
“As previously agreed, you get to keep twenty-five percent of the produced soul energy crystals in Blackshadow city.” Sun said with a smile that appeared to be forced.
Allan felt helpless again as he said: “Alright.”
He was too weak to even dare say anything in front of her. He could feel that she was in the same realm as Zenith but weaker. She was an Ascendant God and he was but a puny Primordial God.
“If possible. I’d like to stay in Blackshadow city.” Allan said.
Sun showed another forced smile and said: “It’s not up to me. The King said that you are to stay in the royal city.”
He sighed and said: “Forget what I just said then.”
They returned to Linland city.
Allan then chose to keep cultivating in his room.
Only by becoming as stronger would he have the strength to free himself from this world.
He was using all the energy crystals he had to force his primordial energy core to fuse with his inner world and even though it was going a thousand times faster than the average person, he was not satisfied.
As night fell, he decided to take a pause and closed his eyes.
Unknowingly, he fell asleep.
“Well. Finally, you’re here.” a raspy voice said.
Allan was still lost in his dream and ignored the voice.
“Time to wake him up. HEY.” The voice said.
“Who are you?” Allan asked. He was still in the same setting as his previous dream and now understood that he was still dreaming but awake. There was also a stranger in the dream with him.
“I’m a Dream Demon and my name is Hagar. I was sent by the Dark Princess to invite you to the Orwyn continent.” The dream demon, Hagar said.
Allan thought for a moment and said: “Even if I wanted to, it wouldn’t be possible. I am not allowed to go outside of Linland city without a guard.”
The demon then materialized in front Allan. He had taken the form of Allan’s shadow and had no clear features. Just the faint outline of a humanoid.
“Just find an excuse to leave the palace and we’ll take care of the rest.”The figure said.
“What makes you think that I am interested in what that princess has to say?” Allan asked.
“You’re a demon. Are you not ashamed of colluding with the humans?” Hagar probed.
“I am not from your world. Your wars have nothing to do with me.” Allan said.
The demon then said: “From what I see, you have no free will and are forced to stay in this palace. If you come with us, the demons will treat you better.” Hagar said.
Allan then started thinking about his situation.
He had been forced to stay in Linland city as a formation expert but his formations worked independently from him. The King could harvest soul energy crystals whenever he wished.
What if the king just kept him to use him to set formation all over the continent and still take more than half of the soul energy crystals?
What if the demons agreed to let him keep fifty percent of the produced energy crystal of every formation he set? He would cultivate faster than ever.
He had to try because his only way back home was to become as strong as possible.
He then asked: “How do you plan on getting me out of here?”
“Just find an excuse to leave the palace tomorrow.” The dream demon said before disappearing.
Allan woke up after the conversation with a thoughtful look.

Absolute Power of the Imagination
(Hello this is a story that I'm making and is basically just my fantasy of what it would be like to be a human with god-like powers and the MC is going to have my personality so you are reading some of my desires.) Everyone has at least once thought what it would it would be like to be GOD but only so many people have actually thought about it deeply and this story is going to be through my thoughts as what it would be like to be a god-like being that was once human (because it would be no fun to read or write what it would be like to be GOD since there are no obstacles as the definition of GOD.) (I'm writing this because my new favorite novel "Michael Ammers: My OP leisure life" has been dropped or is on a really long hiatus.
