《Demon Forever》13- The Sun's Emissary

Zenith was surprised by Allan’s request.

Was the king going to meet anyone who wanted to meet him on a whim?

He asked Allan: “If you have a good reason, you better tell me first. Otherwise, he will never meet you.”

“I have some knowledge about formations that might interest him.” Allan said.

Both Edris and Zenith looked at each other at the same time.

Zenith appeared to be lost and said: “What good are formations to us?”

Allan then told them about the Tower of the fire God that could temper bodies and the formation capable of siphoning soul energy into soul energy crystals.

Zenith’s eyes widened as he listened.

Edris said: “That’s impossible. Something like that can’t even be accomplished by the Law Seekers.”

Zenith stopped Edris and told him: “He’s not from this world. Just like my ancestor he was teleported here as well.”

A strange gleam could be seen in the eyes of Edris.

Zenith turned around and asked Allan: “Now that I think about it, you never told me your name.”

Allan felt embarrassed and said: “Allan Falcon.” He was too far from home to feel the need to hide his surname.

“Allan. If what you say is true, then the king will definitely want to meet you...Let’s go meet him.”Zenith said.

The idea of having the humans train their bodies like the demons did was tempting, to say the least. It would create capable low-level soldiers for the future wars.

As for the soul energy crystals, even Ascendant gods were in dire need of them, especially if they were seeking laws to comprehend.

The appearance of those formations was sure to change the human world and cause even more wars.

“It must be kept secret for the time being.” said Zenith as he looked at Edris who nodded.

It was with haste that Zenith conjured a simple winged boat out of his inner world and said: “Hop on.”

The three comfortably sat in the boat as it took off.

During the short journey above the lands of the Southhollow continent, Allan learned that Zenith was a member of the Empyrean guard, under the orders of the Golden King himself.

Every Empyrean guard was an Ascendant God and was human as well. There were only twelve of them.

Those twelve were the only humans to have ever reached the Ascendant God realm and were the best candidates to have a chance at reaching the Law Seekers realm.

As long as they lived under the protection of the Golden King, it was only a matter of time before they reached the Law Seekers realm.

It was also the most revered strike force that the human race counted on to protect them against the demon clans.

The demon clans had something similar as well. The Demon’s Envoys. There were only seven of them and they had a cultivation equivalent to Ascendant God realm. Three of them were ancient Ascendant Godbeasts while the other four were Ascendant god half demons.

The Dark King that ruled the demon clans was a half-demon.

“Why are there conflicts between your two races?” Allan asked.

“We all want the other to disappear and it’s about the ownership of the planet.” Edris said.

“It’s true. We have been to war for thousands of years. The owner of the planet has a chance at securing a place in the Galactic alliance. Such a thing can only be possible if there is one ruler.” Zenith added.

Allan thought: “Once again, it’s about the Galactic alliance.”

They arrived at a majestic city that looked like it had been stolen from heaven itself.

“This is Southhollow continent’s royal city, Linland.” Zenith said.

Strangely, the security was lax as all they did was bow in the direction of the little winged boat.

They snaked through the city for a while before they arrived at a luxurious gigantic palace.

The boat then disappeared and the three landed steadily before a host of bowing guards.

“Your Majesty. Zenith Vimis asks for an audience.” A servant said to a stalwart man.

The man was looking at the city from the balcony while smoking. He was dressed in a golden robe that scintillated in the sun.

He was bald with a long beard with an eternal frown plastered on his face.

He had eyes that that looked like they might rend space if he gazed at it.

He turned around and left saying nothing back to the servant.

The throne room only contained Zenith, Allan and Edris.

Zenith had adopted a solemn look as he crossed his hands behind his back.

Edris was shivering from excitement as it was his first time seeing the king up-close.

Allan had the same uncaring look but was inwardly afraid that it would be his last day. Everything would depend on the king’s goodwill.

Allan then asked: “No guards?” He was trying to dispel the eerie silence and tension in the room.

Zenith sighed and said: “Who can protect the strongest human in history.”

A door on the side opened.

A golden robed man was seen walking towards the throne. He sat down and said: “Vimis. What brings you here? I thought that you preferred to care for that old dilapidated temple.”

Allan who had imagined a hero like human was finally scared for himself.

The King”s bearing completely looked like that of a ruffian despite his luxurious attire and jewelry.

“I’ve brought the inheritor of the /Light Emissary/ art and he has a few interesting ideas he would like to share with you, your highness.” Zenith said as he pointed at Allan.

“Another Emissary has appeared once more.” Said the King. He looked deeply at Allan for a moment before a shocked expression was seen. He then started laughing.

A minute later, he was holding his belly as he laughed.

He finally said: “This is a first. A half-demon Emissary that represents the light. If the Light Bringer was still alive, he would cough up blood for an eternity if he learned that the will he left behind chose a half-demon kid as a master.”

Zenith’s face darkened as he said: “There’s more.”

The king appeared surprised as he said: “Oh? Pray tell.”

“The art has another master and the Kid has yet to undergo Ancestral Awakening.” Zenith said.

The king immediately lost his cool as he teleported right before Allan and touched the latter’s forehead.

After a moment: “It's as you say. Why did you not undo the seal? Do you perhaps take the /Light Emissary/ art for a common art? It will cleanse the demonic bloodline’s memories should it interfere with the host and the art itself. As for the Ascendant Godbeast transformation, I can sense that he will only be a 1st tier at most. For a 9th tier Ascendant god like you, he would not be dangerous at all.”

“But, your highness. He still has to be educated in our ways. What guarantee do we have that he will not betray us in the future?”

“Because he is doomed to become an emissary and every emissary doesn’t need to seek laws. The full law is included in their art. The moment they reach the Ascendant God level, their art unveils the law for them to cultivate it. In a matter of years, they will be able to complete the comprehension of the art and reach the Law seekers realm with a full comprehension of the law their art allows them to comprehend. All they have to do is slowly cultivate to the Ascendant God level and then the Art will take care of the rest.” The golden king said.

Zenith then asked: “What’s going to happen if we unseal him too early?”

“I have no idea. The /Light Emissary/ art chose him so it must have its own plans, but one thing is for sure, the /Light Emissary/ art cannot allow its chosen to cultivate another art or be tampered with. That includes the pseudo-resurrection of the Ascendant Godbeast through its bloodline memories.” The king shrugged his shoulders and said. He added: “Let’s wait until his inner world reaches the Ascendant God level and then unseal him...”

The king then looked at the shivering Allan and said: “Zenith said that you have something to say to me.”

“Yes. I have a few formations that could prove useful...” Allan then took the time to explain now that he knew that his life was out of danger.

The king listened attentively the moment he had heard the word ‘formations’.

“I see.” The king had a thoughtful look as he stroked his beard.

“I have some knowledge about formations myself as I am an Emissary just like you. The /Sun Emissary/ art that I cultivate was made by the same person who made your art. The two arts are similar at times and sometimes not. For example, the puppets you craft, they follow your power level and grow as you grow in strength. My puppets stay the same as the cultivation I had when I made them. It also becomes more difficult to craft as I grow in strength. As I currently am, it is impossible for me to craft a puppet at the Law seeker realm but you, if you live to reach that realm, all your puppets will as well.” The king said.

Allan was trying to understand what kind of being the Light Bringer was to create such perverse arts.

The king then said: “What is the range that your soul energy gathering formation can handle?”

“No idea. We only tried it on a simple tower back home and the yield was enormous.” Allan said.

“Try the entire city. I will send some helpers.” The king said before he disappeared leaving no room for Allan to retort

Three days later.

Allan was still struggling as he tried to find a better and efficient way of inscribing the soul energy gathering formation.

He could not do it as Arkul had done for the Tower of the Fire God as he was given an entire city to work with.

He wished that Arkul was there to guide him or better yet have the dragon inscribe the formation in his stead.

What motivated him was the huge amount of soul energy crystals he would soon be drowning in.

His new goal was to reach the Ascendant God realm to unravel the secrets of his demonic bloodline. He was sure that he could unseal himself even at the primordial god level but after hearing the King’s words, he had decided to wait until he was strong enough to tame the bloodline.

“Are you Allan Falcon?” A beautiful voice was heard.

“Yes.” said Allan as he turned around to see a beautiful woman wearing a blue dress.

“My name is Sun. I was sent by the Golden King to help you.” She said.

“Do you know anything about formations?” Allan asked.

“No. But I’m a fast learner.” Sun said with a smile.

Allan inwardly sighed as he understood that the King was not really in a hurry to see the project succeed.

He then said: “Alright. I guess I can teach you a thing or two about formations but what I need right now is a good plan to set the formation in the city. The city is too big. Even with us two, it might not be possible to finish setting the formation in five years.”

“You live forever. What are five years to you?” Sun asked perplexed.

“I must go back home and the best way to do that is if I am strong enough to travel between worlds.” Allan said.

“What is your home like?” Sun asked.

“Peaceful. Most demonic clans live in hiding and the humans are their own worst enemies. Most people there don’t even know that they are not alone in the world. We have yet to reach another continent as we are too weak to even get there.” Allan said as he was assailed by memories of the Grayhell continent.

“You must be the luckiest world ever. The other worlds that I know go to war for a chance to belong to the Galactic Alliance yet yours sounds like a paradise compared to them.” Sun said.

“Yeah. We are lucky.” Allan nodded.

“Well, I guess it’s only a matter of time before an organization like the Galactic Alliance or the Galactic Alliance itself to find your world.” Sun said.

“What are the benefits of belonging to an organization like that?” Allan was curious.

“They need Law seekers for their armies as they fight against other organizations for the control of other worlds. In return, the worlds that they control and their Law Seekers receive benefits in the form of lost knowledge so that their worlds can evolve or in the form of cultivation resources. Those soul energy crystals are one of the few cultivation resources they distribute to their worlds but at the moment this world doesn’t have clear ruler, so we are not eligible to receive those resources. They need a world with an undisputed ruler for the resources to be distributed. That is why we are at war with the demons.” Sun said.

“I see.” Allan said. He added: “Let’s start then.”

He started teaching her the basics of formations.

It took Sun two months to completely grasp the basics.

Allan was astonished at the speed at which Sun learned from him. He even secretly felt jealous.

“At this speed, I think we can start in a few months.” Allan said.
