《Demon Forever》11- Trapped

Twenty-one days in the future.
Allan was bound by invisible threads in the middle of a pentacle.
“Hey. Old fogey. What is the meaning of this? Get me out of here.”
John Brower, the sword master of the Demonic sword sect as well as the very old man who had given the / Light Emissary/ art to Allan, had an unsightly face.
He had lost an arm and was in the middle of regenerating it back: “Just a second. Where are you?”
“I’m just in front of you. Can’t you see me? I can’t believe I let you talk me into this. Now we know how your master disappeared. Or died...” Allan said.
“I really can’t see you. It appears you are caught in another dimension but are still connected to this one. How marvelous... We found a door to another world.” John said.
“Stop saying bullshit. Get me out of here.” Allan said.
“I can’t. If I put my feet inside the pentacle, we’ll both be trapped. My guess is that this teleportation formation was never fed enough soul energy to complete the teleportation in the past. Or it had enough energy from the very beginning but it faded away over time hence your current state. You’ re caught in between worlds and at the same time not. When you talk to me, you are talking to both worlds.” John said.
Day one.
“Sir. You seem to know your way around these mountains better than me.” Alistair said.
“I grew up in these mountains.” Allan said.
They had just left the Fire ascension sect a few days ago and were now flying above of the Thousand beast mountains.
“The Demonic Sword sect is just in front of us.” Said Allan as he looked at his map.
“Halt.” A voice was heard.
Two yellow winged men arrived. Both were in the early Immortal realm.
As they arrived they were surprised to see Allan’s wings.
“Sorry, sir. We had no idea it was you. The sword master warned us of your arrival.” One them said.
“Please follow us.” The other said.
They led the two through narrow mountains to reach a towering mountain.
It was the of the same style as Falcon village.
They flew above luxurious estates as they headed for a golden palace in the center.
Surprisingly, it looked just like the one in Allan’s inner world.
The palace was heavily guarded.
Inside the palace.
“Allan. You’re finally here.” John said as he appeared in front of Allan. He was holding a bottle of wine as he drank without reservation.
“Join me.” John said as he turned around and started walking towards the banquet in the middle of the room. He added: “I hope that you will not find this unpleasant but I felt your aura getting closer these days so I guessed that you were coming here and I organized a little welcoming party.”
“Not at all.” Allan said.
Allan was receiving many angry stares from the many youths in the banquet.
“It seems my days in the sect are numbered. But why should I care?” Allan thought.
“Everybody. This is Allan, my apprentice.” John said.
Everyone bowed towards Allan.
A man wearing a golden robe arrived and said: “You said he was a Human realm?”
John looked embarrassed and said: “Yes. He was, last time, but it seems he was lucky to reach the Immortal realm so fast.”
The golden robed man then said to Allan: “I am Garvin Brower, his little brother....Hum?... A fire attribute body?...No...This is a Divine body of fire...” Garvin then turned around to face his brother: “He should be my apprentice. Not yours. You hid this important fact thinking that I wouldn’t see it?”

John had no idea what to say. He looked at Allan and his eyes widened. He teleported in the small three meters that separated them and shook Allan’s shoulders asking: “Is it the dragon? How strong are you right now?”
Allan then said: “I am stronger than a 5th tier God and yes, it was my dragon that helped me reach the Fire attribute divine body, then I reached the Divine body of fire when I reached the Immortal realm.”
“A dragon now? And He is almost as strong as me. Brother. Just how much have you been hiding exactly?” Garvin asked.
John looked completely lost as he thought about something.
He finally said: “I just found out as well...hehe.”
He looked as innocent as ever.
“Allan. Want to spar?” Garvin asked.
“Not a good idea.” John interjected.
“Why not?” Allan said.
They left the palace and found a barren mountain outside the sect.
“I hear that you cultivate the same art as my big brother...” Garvin said.
“Yes, but I will not be using it.” Allan said.
“That’s what I expected from you. I want to see how the Divine body of fire fares against my / Ascending Sun’s Canon/ art.” Garvin said.
A second sun appeared in the sky followed by a scorching heat.
It was at that moment that Allan turned into a fiery man releasing a heat that did not lose out to Garvin’s sun. He wore clothes made of white light as the previous ones had turned to ashes.
The sun then descended and became smaller. It turned into a yellow sword that released even more heat than the sun.
Allan then had the idea to copy Garvin. The fire around his body was directed to his right hand where a fiery sword started taking form.
They both moved at the same time and the two swords met. The collision created a flash of heat that incinerated the vegetation on the mountain.
Everything in the area was charred black.
Allan was using the sword arts he had learned in his inner world.
Garvin’s sword arts were even more profound and faster than Allan’s.
“I gained a pseudo-fire attribute divine body by cultivating this art. The only reason I am winning right now is because my sword arts are more advanced than yours.” Garvin said.
“Sword arts huh?” Allan said.
He knew that he was at a disadvantage.
He then created fireballs with his left hand and sent them flying towards Garvin who found the desperate attack of fireballs laughable.
Garvin used his sword to defend against the fireballs. All the fireballs exploded as they were cut in half but did not damage him.
Allan kept sending fireballs without rest trying to tire Garvin. As he inched closer, he exhaled a torrential fire that engulfed Garvin.
Garvin said: “He’s been sending these fireballs to blind me and keep me occupied huh...Now this troublesome fire.”
As he was engulfed by the fire, he knew he was about to be attacked from all sides by Allan. The fire was also capable of wounding him.
Allan then conjured multiple fiery swords from his fire and sent them in the direction of Garvin from all directions.
An attack that Garvin could not completely block.
*Ascendant Sun’s barrier* Garvin screamed out as he grasped the sword’s hilt with both hands.
A spherical barrier appeared and kept expanding, pushing away the fire.
The majority of the dozens of fiery swords perforated the barrier and then Garvin’s body.
The fight then came to an end.

Garvin could be seen gasping for breath as eight fiery swords were embedded in his body.
“Sorry. I thought you could handle it.” Allan said as he recalled his fiery swords back.
Garvan then said: “I underestimated you and your Divine body of fire. You do not even need to use your inner world to fight with me. You won with just your physical strength.”
A round of applause the came from the spectators. It was as if the entire sect had come to watch the fight.
“Little brother. How do you feel after being beaten by the twenty-year-old you wanted as disciple?” John appeared out of nowhere and said.
“He’s a monster.” Garvin managed to say as he regenerated.
John then turned to Allan and said: “It would have been easier if you hadn’t neglected your inner world. If you cultivate to my level, the speed that divine body of yours will have will be comparable to the Primordial God realm.”
“Yes. I will soon start stabilizing my inner world and prepare myself to reach the God realm.” Allan said.
“It’s not as easy as you make it sound.” John said.
They then went back to the sect.
Alistair and Allan were given rooms inside the golden palace itself.
Day three
Allan’s room.
Allan was sitting cross-legged on his bed.
Around him were thousands of soul energy crystals.
He was using the soul energy to stabilize his inner world at a breakneck speed.
Normal cultivators used their own soul energy for decades or centuries to stabilize their inner world.
Thanks to Arkul, the soul energy crystals he was using were worth at least a hundred and fifty years of cultivation that he could use in an instant.
He was jumping levels too fast.
On the very first day, he went from the 1st tier of the Immortal realm to the 3rd tier.
The second day, he reached the 7th tier.
This day he was at the 9th tier trying to enter the God realm without success.
“I have to ask John what it takes to enter the God realm.” Allan said to himself before he left the room and went to find John.
Alistair had also received soul energy crystals from Arkul.
He still had to cultivate his human side as well. He had also reached the 9th tier of the immortal realm in both the human and demonic paths.
The sword master was drinking wine as always.
“You’re finally here. I’ve been feeling lost these days as I felt your aura climbing to the 9th tier of the Immortal realm. I wonder...Did you use soul energy crystal?” John asked.
“Yes.” Allan said.
“Sigh...That dragon of yours is really something...Only they have the knowledge about those lost formations...the humans have been cut off from the ancient times.”John said.
Allan then asked: “Do you know how to enter the God realm?”
“The dragon did not tell you?...It’s simple...Just try to become one with primordial energy. An incomplete primordial energy core will appear in your body. Your role will be to make your body even more attuned to primordial energy until the core is complete. Once the core is complete, you are in the Primordial God realm. Use the soul energy to force your body to become one with primordial energy. It’s the same process that gave birth to your Fire attribute divine body.” John said.
Allan did not go back to his room as he sat cross-legged in front of John and tapped his storage pouch. Thousands of soul energy crystals then appeared.
He used the soul energy to direct the primordial energy around him inside every cell of his body instead of his inner world.
He furiously channeled soul energy to envelop every particle of primordial energy and fuse it with every cell of his body.
Slowly, the body started to change. A miniature incomplete core started revolving in an area inside his chest.
“Hum?” John observed a fire that was about to burn his prized carpet.
In a flash, a light appeared and sealed everything in the hall.
Allan thought: “There are two cores that just appeared...A core made of fire...My Divine body of fire evolves the same way as the God realm?”
An incomplete fire core then appeared right next to the God realm core.
John then said: “Now you are as strong as me...hehe. No one on this continent cultivates as fast as you do, but this unreasonable speed will stop once you reach the Primordial god realm I assure you. Not only do you have a demonic core, you also have a fire core and God realm core. The entire Primordial realm is fusing all of them together to be able to reach the Ascendant god realm. It is going to be a headache for you to succeed.”
Allan heart then raced: “You know about my demonic core?”
“Well, I do now...Hehe...You never tried to hide it even when you said nothing...No normal kid walks around with a god realm dragon.” John said.
The fiery Allan then called back the fire inside its core.
He now had a divine body comparable to John in strength.
The fire core stored a fire more intense than the fire he could previously use.
“I came here to find out if you had other arts on the same level as the /Light Emissary/ that I can cultivate.” Allan said.
John seemed to be thinking for a moment and said: “Well, before you arrived I was planning on having you cultivate my brother’s /Ascendant Sun’s canon/ art because it also allows you to temper your body. That’s the art that almost everybody in the sect cultivates, because of its effects on the body. No one can resist it. It is way too balanced in many ways.” he continued: “It is not suitable for you to cultivate it now that you have a divine body of fire and a fire core.”
“Do you have something else?” Allan asked.
“Nothing at the same level as the /Light Emissary/ art, but...” John closed his eyes.
“But what?” Allan was interested.
“We can go to the source to find answers and maybe we will be lucky enough to bring something back.” John mysteriously said.
“Where is that?” Allan asked.
“In some ruins that only us that cultivate the /Light Emissary/ art can enter.” John said.
Day twenty.
“We’re here.” John said.
They were still in the Thousand beast mountains.
“I see no ruins.” Allan said. He was still skeptic about the whole thing.
“My master, Edward Vimis, once found this art in a grotto that led to an underground city. Once he had cultivated to the peak of the God realm, he came back and tried to explore the underground city. He never came back. He told me that if he did not make it out after a year, I was to seal the entrance and never think of following him in.” John said. He added: “How many ghosts did you craft by the way?”
He was talking about the light emissary’s ghost.
Allan just answered: “I only created one. I’ve got two puppets in total.”
“Good. Summon them. We will use them as shields as they walk in front of us.” John said.
The next day.

Or it had enough energy from the very beginning but it faded away over time hence your current state. You’ re caught in between worlds and at the same time not. When you talk to me, you are talking to both worlds.” John said.
Allan was trapped in a teleportation formation.
He was caught in between worlds and could not be seen nor save himself.
“I am going to feed the formation more soul energy. If I do this the teleportation will be complete and you will find yourself in another world. Find a way to come back from there.” John said.
“Don’t do it. You hear me? Just go find Arkul, he will know what to do with this formation and bring me back.” A frantic Allan said.
“I think that you do not have much time. You risk being shredded in pieces if you do not complete the teleportation the right way.” Said John as he fed the teleportation formation his soul energy.
“No...go find Arkul....Goddamnit...” Allan's voice faded away.
