After the fight, Arkul brought Allan back to Gold sword city.

Allan purchased a lavish mansion.

“Thanks to Arkul helping me hunt, I now have close to two thousand immortal realm demonic cores. This mansion just cost me a dozen immortal cores...”

“This will be my base in the human world for a while.”

“From the research I did on the Demonic sword sect, they accept geniuses of wealthy families that can afford the cost of studying in the sect.”

“I sent Arkul hunting, half of his kills are mine so I am covered in expenses. Besides, If he can reach the God realm, I will be close to invincible...”

“It must be good to level up like a dragon...In just eight years it went from the human realm to the peak of the immortal realm.”

“Well, I am a half-demon and I have no right to cultivate in the Arts of my own bloodline...Sigh, The only Demonic arts I can practice and they are taken away from me. Thankfully, I’m half-human and Immortal. As long as I am careful, I should be able to learn with the humans for a while.”

The next day, he went to the merchant guild to purchase slaves or hire capable workers to take care of the mansion.

As he looked around in the streets, he was spotted by a young man who hurriedly arrived next to him saying: “Young master. I can be your guide for three 2nd tier human cores.”

Allan sized him up and said: “I’m in need of helpers to take care of my mansion.”

The youth cursed himself for not asking for more as Allan sounded like he was drowning in money.

“Yes, sir. Just follow me. I know just the right place.” The youth said.

They made so many turns that Allan was lost no matter how he tried to remember.

“We’re almost in the underground slave market.” The youth said. He could see that his client was lost.

“It’s not just slaves that are sold there. You can hire mercenaries and hunters as well as normal workers for various tasks.”The youth tried to start a conversation.

“What is the use of mercenaries and hunters?”Allan asked.

The youth found the question weird but answered nonetheless: “If you ever plan on entering the outer region of the Thousand beast mountains, you can hire them for help in killing the demonic beast as well as bringing back the materials from the beasts.”

“I see. What is the market like for the materials of the demonic beast.” Allan asked.

This time, the youth turned around to look at Allan’s face and saw that the latter was serious. The youth said: “Some beast hides are used to craft soft armors as well as expensive attires for nobles. The bones can be transformed into weapons or pieces of art that are sought after by many. The bone marrow of some beasts is a delicacy just like their meat. The demonic cores and blood are used by alchemists to create pills. Some Enchanters use Immortal demonic cores and parchments to craft talismans.”

“Talismans?” Allan said.

“Yes. Are you not familiar with Enchanters sir?”

“No. My home is far away. We do not have them. What are talismans?” Allan asked.

“They are used in fights or healing. They are made with the cores of immortal realm demonic beasts because, at that level, a wisp of the beast’s soul can be found within. With that soul, they can create a talisman that has the beast’s ability. Some talismans are single use while others can be used multiple times.” The youth explained.

As Allan digested the new information, he did not realize that they had arrived at a deserted alley.

At the end of the alley was a simple door that the youth was knocking on in a weird rhythm.

“This is just one of the many entrances. My job ends here but I think you will be lost on the way back.” The youth said.

“Here. Thanks for your help.” Allan tossed an Immortal core to the youth.

A spatial storage pouch and an Immortal realm demonic core.

The youth was overwhelmed by the extravagance Allan showed.

“But...but...This is too much. I cannot accept it.” The youth said. He had just received a four-years salary.

“I have no human realm cores on me. Only immortal cores from the 1st tier to the 7th tier.” Allan said.

“Then I thank you sir.” said the youth before he ran away fearing that Allan would change his mind.

Allan just chuckled and entered the open door.

The door closed behind him as he walked into a dark hallway.

He could see the light at the end.

As he reached the main hall, he met a woman dressed in a dark attire saying: “Sir. What is it that you need? Rudolph’s Underground house shall acquire it for you.”

All the respect he got was from the bearing he had and extravagant clothes he was wearing.

He said: “I just bought a mansion and I need good servants. Preferably trained.”

“How many are we talking about?” The woman asked.

“Two dozens at most. How much?” Allan asked.

“Two hundred 7th tier Human cores. That’s only for our part of the deal. You still have to remunerate them.”

“Do you sell spatial storage items?” Allan asked.

“Yes, but they can only be acquired through an auction.” The woman said.

“I’d like to hire ten hunters as well. How strong are your hunters?” Allan asked.

“The strongest are at the 1st tier of the immortal realm and they cost a single 3rd tier immortal core per month.” The woman said.

“Good. I want ten of them.” Allan said.

There was an eerie silence before the woman said: “Yes, but I need proof that you can pay for the first month.”

Allan took out his storage pouch and took out eleven 3rd tier Immortal cores. He said:“This should cover everything. Keep the rest.”

He stopped for a moment and asked: “When is the next auction?”

“In thirteen hours.”The woman hurriedly said.

“Bring me there. I can wait.” Allan said.

He was then guided through a maze that he guessed was under the Gold sword city.

They arrived in a suite that gave to an empty auditorium.

“If you need anything, just ask the waiter outside the suite.” The woman said before she left.

Rudolph’s underground house offered any service one could think of. If it could be sold, then it was a good thing. With some restrictions, they openly offered their services to anyone that was in need of them.

They did nothing illegal but maintained a kind of secrecy that their clients adored.

In a brightly lit office was a man that was shrouded in darkness.

Someone knocked.

“Enter.” Said the man.

The woman that was with Allan moments ago then appeared as the door opened.

“Sir. Something major just happened.” the woman said.

“Oh, it’s you, Mara. What put you in such a state?” The man asked.

“Sir. A young man appeared and hired ten 1st tier Immortal realm hunters.” Mara said.

“What?...such a thing happened? Did he ?...” The man asked with.

“Yes, sir. He paid eleven 3rd tier immortal cores. He came here looking for servants as well as spatial storage items. He said that he just bought a mansion in the city.” Mara said.

“Any guards around him?” The man asked.

“None.” Mara said.

“Realm?” The man asked.

“4th tier Human realm.” Mara said.

“You said young...”

“Yes. Not older than twenty.” Mara said.

“He must be a noble. He’s not even an Immortal realm and walks around with so much wealth. What he paid you is two months revenue for my organization. What kind of noble family’s young master would be able to take out so many immortal cores...” The man said.

“It’s gonna get him killed anyway. He had so much money. Why not end it here?” Mara suggested.

“No. If we really kill him now and find out that his backing is greater than us later, we will die without knowing how.” The man said. He added: “Where is he right now?”

“He’s waiting for the next auction in the 8th suite.” Mara said.

“Good. Let him attract attention on himself on his own. You said that he needed spatial storage items. Put some in the auction. Also, put some of our men in the auditorium as well. Every time he makes a bid, they are to raise the price but tell them to do it smartly.” The man said.

“Yes, sir.”

Thirteen hours later, Allan was still eating as the waiter looked at him as if he was a beast.

“They serve on such a small plate...”Complained Allan as the waiter looked tired of carrying half a dozen plates for the fifth time.

The waiter came back saying: “The auction is about to start.”

“About time...” Allan said.

He turned to look at the densely packed auditorium.

A woman accompanied by cart pushing man arrived on the stage and said: “Ladies and Gentlemen. The auction starts now.”

On the cart was a dozen pills the size of a fingernail each.

“The first item is the Limitless Boundary pill. As you all know, it can help expand your inner world.”

The crowd went into a frenzy.

Allan was the only one who did not find the pills useful.

A fierce battle was fought over the Limitless Boundary pill.

The bidding war ended and the second item was presented and then the third....

“It's time for spatial storage items. We have seven of them in total.” the woman said.

“One storage pouch is worth two 1st tier Immortal cores.”

“Three immortal cores.” A voice said from one of the suites.

Allan was laughing inwardly as he knew that he would be the one to acquire them all. He said:

“Ten immortal cores.”

The room stilled after the echo of his voice.

“Eleven.” Another voice said.

“Fifteen.” Allan said.

“The sir in the eighth suite wins.”

Allan won.

He won all of the storage items for a steep price. Every time, there would be one or two bidders that had entered into a bidding war with him.

It was fun for him as it was his first time participating in an auction, but what he failed to notice was the greed over the faces of almost everyone in the auditorium.

When it was time to go claim his winnings and servants he didn’t even wear a mask to protect himself.

“Sir. Everything you asked for is ready. Your servants and hunters are waiting for your orders.” Mara said.

“Thank you. This is my address. Tell them to meet me there tomorrow morning. I’ m waiting for them.”

“Yes, sir.” Mara said.

Allan left by the same little door he had entered the underground world from.

“Now. How do I get home?...I should’ve kept that guide with me.” Allan asked himself.

He walked aimlessly in the alleys trying to find a familiar place so he could go home from there, but what happened was that he lost himself in the city even more.

After an hour, he resigned himself to asking for direction even if there was a risk he would be mugged.

He was comparable to a genius because of his young age of nineteen, but compared to a thirty-year-old normal human, he was weak.

His cultivation of the 4th tier of the human realm was sure not to help him if he met a group of the same realm or an individual stronger than him.

It was also the reason he had trusted the young guide who was at the 2nd tier of the human realm.

As he headed for a group of people, he heard a familiar voice: “Sir. Are you lost?”

It was the young guide from earlier.

“Bring me back to the place we met and you’ll get another Immortal core.” Allan pleaded.

“Hehe..I’ll do it for free since I am rich already.” the youth laughed.

They went through unfamiliar streets and once again Allan was amazed at how the young guide knew his way in such complicated places.

Allan then asked: “I would like to open a shop in the city. Do you know the right people?”

“It depends on what you want to sell but the merchant guild should be the first place you should try.” The youth said.

“I want to go hunt for beasts at the Immortal Realm. 4th tier and above. I want to sell the materials from the beasts through my store. Is that possible?” Allan asked.

The youth looked at him with a face that was asking many questions. The youth said: “Hunters give their materials to the merchant guild and are remunerated accordingly. That’s what you should do. Opening a store will just hinder you as the merchant guild buys in bulk. You would have to wait for clients to come in but since you said materials of the 4th tier and above in the immortal realm, if you are really successful, then everyone will truly want to buy from you, the merchant guild included. What you will be selling will be exotic materials and food.”

Allan needed income and opening a store was his first idea.

With Arkul hunting and the hunters following behind to store all the materials in the spatial storage items he had won in the auction, his store was sure to have a daily supply of materials.

“If you ever open a store, can you hire me? I am hardworking and know my way around many things.” The youth tentatively asked.

“What’s your name?”

“Cain Darvis. I am eighteen years old.”

“You’re hired then. Your first job will to scout for a good location for the store. Money is not a problem.” said Allan as he started seeing familiar streets. He added: “This is my address. Come tomorrow morning with a place in mind. ”

“Yes, sir.” Cain said.

“My name is Allan Kreel.”

“Yes, Mr. Kreel.”

As they parted ways, Allan walked towards his mansion with a pensive look.

He arrived thirty minutes later and poured himself some wine that he had brought from Falcon village.

He was assailed by his childhood memories.

“I wonder if my parents are outside looking for me. No...they are not...with their strength, they’d find me in a second...this means that they let me go alone and believe that I will come back once I am bored playing human...I'm impressed though...they let me go alone...I guess they have faith in Arkul...”

He took another sip and a smile appeared on his face.

“Who knows what will happen from now on. I need to join a sect in the next months but my human foundation must be firm before I do so.”

***

In the middle of the night, A pair of black wings was seen above Allan’s mansion.

“So this is where that new player lives. No security at all.” A man shrouded in darkness said.

Next to him was Mara who was sitting on a green giant leaf that levitated in the air.

“He was so relaxed drinking wine. It seems he doesn’t care who sees him with so much wealth and now he is sleeping like a baby as if nothing could happen to him.” Mara said.

“He’s either extremely stupid or has something to rely on. We will know once those hunters and servants report to us. I’m itching to know just how much wealth he has.” The man said.

“Rudolph. Why so much caution? Let’s just take that storage bag and go.” Mara suggested.

Rudolph just looked at her and said: “You’re too impatient. Don’t do anything behind my back. I don’t want to be killed for your mistakes. Let’s get out of here.”

Rudolph flapped his black wings and left.

Mira looked at the sleeping Allan through the window and sighed before departing as well.

***

A rift was thorn as an old man appeared exactly in the middle of the place where Rudolph and Mira had been standing.

“Poor fellows. If they had decided to attack the young master, they’d be dead by now.” The old man said.

Several rifts were thorn in space as four other individuals appeared.

“What do we do with them?” One of them asked the old man.

“Nothing for now. Just keep an eye on the young master at all times. He must not die on us or else we are going to have to accompany him in death...Really, he doesn’t know does he? He has four Gods looking after him... As for I...sigh” The old man said before he walked into a rift and disappeared.
