[Sara] "Sir dungeon."
[] "Mmm."
[Sara] "Sir dungeon, wake up."
[] "I'm up, I'm up. Hmm? Oh Sara, how you doing?"
[big brown bear beastman] Grabs my new dungeon lord by my collar (thank goodness I remembered to make my body have clothes when I made it). "How dare you call my wife by her name!"
'Oh so this is the king. Guess I screwed up making a good first impression.'
[king] "Do you know how hard I worked before she allowed me to call her by her name!?"
As I blink in surprise I notice that Sara started to blush.
[king] "I had to work through blood and sweat to call her by name. Don't you dare use her name so casually."
[Sara] Places her hand on his arm. "Honey, he cured me remember? We're here to thank him."
[king] Looks at Sara and blushes. "R-r-right. Sorry."
Thankfully he puts me down.
[] Brushes shirt off. "Sorry about that. After getting a body I decided to see if I could sleep. Guess the time just got away from me." Looks at Sara and the king only to find them staring into each other's eyes. "Aaaand your not listening to me at all are you?"
These two seemed to have developed some sort of pink aura around them that isolated them from the world. The first one to snap out of it was Sara.
[Sara] "Ah. I'm so sorry, it's just been so long sense we've seen each other. But we can talk about that later, we need to introduce ourselves first. This is-"
[] "Hold the introductions until everyone's here."
I then turn away before they could reply. I had fallen asleep on one of the bars in my first floor's last room and head towards the back wall.
'And I must say, after having no choice but to stay up and cope with crippling boredom, I really enjoyed my nap.'
[] "By the way, how long was I asleep? It doesn't feel that long."

[Sara] "Two hours at most."
[] Pauses to look at her in disbelief. "It only took you two hours to check your condition, explain the situation, and bring your husband back here?"
[Sara] "I was fortunate enough to run into my husband as he was on his was here. Apparently someone saw me sneak out and was able to inform him."
[] "Oh." Hops onto the raised platform at the back of the room. "At ease men."
The only monsters that fight in this room are the 4 zombies that I have stationed on the platform. They don't attack anyone that isn't on the platform so people can drink at the bars without worry. Of course there's another reason they're here, but that's not important right now.
Reaching the back wall, I turn around to face the King and queen.
[] "The room you're about to enter has no other purpose than for meetings. It does not connect to any other part of the dungeon and can only be accessed by me or those I've given permission."
Finishing my little speech, I turn back to face the wall and give it a push. Without any resistance, a section of the wall opens inwards. Inside, the new room is 50'x50'x25' and contains nothing but a single round table that's about 6' across with 5 chairs placed around it.
(AN: 50'x50'x25' means 50 feet long and wide with a 25 foot ceiling. I'm a born and raised american and will be using the system that I learned as I grew up as I'm more comfortable with it. Some short hand I've learned along the way and may use in this story: 3" = 3 inches, 3' = 3 feet)
After the queen and king enter, I close the door behind them. When the door closed, lights on the ceiling came on to illuminate the room.
[] Strolls in front of the king and queen while looking around the room. "Hmm. Now that I see it from this angel, I think Amy was right."

[king] "Who's Amy."
[] Turns to face the king and queen. "Right! On to introductions."
I then use my powers as the dungeon to summon my soul bosses. Appearing in a flash of light are four individuals. To my right appear a mummy wearing a black tux and an arctic hare beastman wearing black pants and a black jacket with a white shirt underneath. On my left appear an arctic fox beastwoman wearing a white yukata with pink flowers and a killer whale beastman wearing a white suit and dark blue tie.
[] "Hello and welcome to me. I'm the conscience of the dungeon. As of now, I don't have a name so just call me 'the dungeon'. This body I created is a humming bird beastman with halloween colored feathers. I gave myself an orange shirt and black pants to match my feathers as well as blue and white sneakers. If any of our clothes seem weird to you it's because of the time skip we just had." King opens his mouth. I hold up a hand to stop him. "I will answer your questions later, for now we finish the introductions. Amy?"
[Amy] "Hi, I'm Amy. I'm the soul boss of the second floor. My body is an arctic fox beastwoman. My hobbies include singing and dancing. I hope we get along." Bows.
[Tod] "Name's Tod. I'm the soul boss of the fourth floor. My body is that of an orca whale. If you need anything fixed or improved, I'm your man." Proudly points to himself.
[Seth] "Seth. Fifth floor. Mummy. You see me, you die."
Seth's statement causes the king to take a step back.
[Amy] "Don't say that Seth, they'll misunderstand." Turns to look at the king and queen. "Sorry, what he means to say is that he'll kill anyone on his floor. You're fine here."
Amy's reply doesn't seem to calm the king too much.
[Ragnarok] "Good ta' meet you, names Ragnarok. I's be in charge o' floor nine."
[Sara] "It is a pleasure to meet all of you." Bows. "My name is Sara and this is my husband Wayne. We are the king and queen of Gatewood. I'm an elf mage that uses water magic and Wayne is a bear beastman warrior. We hope to keep a peaceful relation."
'Elf? How the fuck did I miss that? No no no, don't blame yourself it must have been because her hair was covering her ears.'
[] "Well, now that introductions are finished, how about we all take a seat?" Motions to the table.
[Tod] Smiles knowingly at me. "Is that-"
[] "It is." Smiles smugly back at him.
[Tod] "So you got it t-"
[] "And more my friend, and more." Nods knowingly.
Me and Tod take a moment to appreciate our work while everyone else (even my other bosses) look at us like we're stupid.
[Amy] "So are we going to sit or what?"
[] "Right. Tod would you do the honors?"
[Tod] "You sure?"
[] "Absolutely. Even as a dungeon lord, my mana is tied to the dungeon. And I need to save what I can."
[Tod] "Alright then." Approaches the back side of the table and turns a knob.
The table splits into five segments and expands. As the segments expand, new pieces of wood pop out of the center to create a table that can now fit ten. The five chairs around the table copy themselves and become ten chairs.
'Of course this wasn't done through pure mechanics like this. Tod and I designed this table to use storage magic to hold the needed parts as well as some special features. We also linked the table to the chairs to reduce the need of manual labor.'
[Wayne] "Impressive."
[] "Thanks. Tod and I spent years improving the design."
[Wayne] "How could you have spent years designing this? Sara told me that you have just woken up."
[] "Right. Everyone take a seat and we'll start the information meeting."

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

A dungeon core, harbingers of death and fortune. And so, his current circumstances instead fill him with a lot of fear and maybe just a little bit of excitement. Join the adventure to watch that fear fade away as he realises just how limitless the power at his ‘fingertips’ is. The power of creation and destruction. Of life and death.
