Chapter 13
Previously:
"First up is Ryuk Shin." He stepped up to get his level checked as he placed his hand on the ball.
"Level 12" the woman yelled out.
"Wow, he is so high leveled," people said after his level was announced and as he walked back to the crowd with a long nose and his chest high.
(* Yo, why are they so low leveled*)
A few more people went, and no one has beat the level 9 mark.
"Yulia Shizuka"
"Level 33"
"What did I hear that right?" voices said across the stadium.
"Isn't that abnormal?" Someone asked as they raised up their hand.
"We do not have a level cap for those who can join only an age cap." The woman replied.
"John Kim"
(* Finally my turn huh?*)
I walked up and placed my hand on the orb...
------------------------------------------------------
I walked up and placed my hand on the orb, and slowly the numbers went up.
10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and then it stopped.
" Looks like he is level 17 huh," someone said.
" What a genius." another person said.
Then the number jumped up to 25 then started to count upward again.
26, 27, 28, 29 30, 31
"OMG, he passed the level 30 mark!!" Someone yelled on the sidelines.
32, 33, 34, 35 then, it stops.
"Level 35? Isn't that more than Ms. Yulio?" someone said on the sidelines.
"There's no way Ms.Yulio lost to this nobody, right?"
"He must have cheated somehow!"
" I heard there was a way to increase your level temporarily. I wonder if he did that?"
"Are you talking about the extra-level potion?"
"Is that what it's called? He must have used it to cheat."

"YEAH… TEST HIM AGAIN!!!!"
"YEAH… DO IT AGAIN!!!!"
"GET OFF THE STAGE CHEATER!!"
I just stood there as people yelled at me to get out of the stage. And that reminded me of one point in my life.
I just stood there and took all the false faults that people found with my results, and that's when I realized the truth of this life.
No one is respected unless they hold power and money. Social status determines if you live or die, and I will not live that way.
"BE QUIET!!!!" a voice yelled out from the sky.
As everyone else looked up I just looked down in anger, It felt great compared to how I used to look down in fear.
"Mr. Kim," I heard then, lifted my head up to answer, but the voice cut me off.
"Did you use a Level Potion?" The voice asked.
"I did not," I answered.
"How will you prove that?"
"You can ask my father, Kim Lee."
For a second the woman flinched.
"You mean Kim Lee that works with the Raiders Association?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am" I answered.
And right after I said that I heard a giggle in the crowd, then it turned into a whole crowd laughing at me.
"How would an American light-skinned boy like you be Korean? Are you dumbed kid?"
"He probably heard the name from T.V and decided that was his father."
I got angry, like really angry so, angry I reached into my pocket and grabbed the phone the old man gave me and dialed his phone number.
After three beeps he picked up the phone,
"Old Man" I yelled.
"Did he just say old man?" some people whispered.
"Tell me your name?" I commanded.

"Kid!! Who the fuck you think you are talking to?" he answered.
"Please just tell me your name!!"
"My name is Kim Lee from the raiders association."
"Don't you think you should know more about your father?... Anyway, I have to get to work so, don't call me."
*Click*
The whole stadium was silent, staring at each other confused.
"Ahem, Thank you very much for confirming that Mr. Kim is your father!! Please continue the test as per usual." The woman said as she went back up.
"Wait… I need compensation for what just happened." I demanded.
"What?" she said while looking confused.
"If my father wasn't the old man, you would have disqualified me, and don't say no because your face said it all."
"Okay, what do you want?"
"First of all, I want to be exempted from the entrance exam. And be put in the top class for our grade. I also want to have my own room and have my very own training area. Also, double the monthly resources given to the top student!!"
"I'm sorry I can't do that." She said as she wanted to go meet the other teachers.
"Ohh… What's this? Does Raiders academy actually discriminate against people based on social statuses? That would be s------" I couldn't finish my sentences before I felt strong energy directed at me.
*Crash*
Smoke covered the whole platform.
"You are no different from us, so watch your manners!!" A voice said.
"OHHH I AM ANXIOUS TO SEE WHO THE FUCK IS CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO CUT MY CONVERSION WITH A TEACH."
Chapter 13 Ends.

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
