Jack screams.

Luke looks surprised.
He looks at Jack angry and clenching his fist.
“What do you mean by that?! Wouldn’t you kill the person that killed your mother?!”
Valerie questions Jack.
“My mother and your father were way fucking different! YOUR FATHER KILLED 100’s OF INNOCENT PEOPLE IN CARLIVA! WE SAW IT! WE SAW IT ALL! HE EVEN SLICED OUT SIR DAN’S EYE! IF IT WASN’T FOR SIR DAN WE WOULDN’T EVEN BE ALIVE HERE!”
Jack screams his lung out.
“Wait...Valerie’s father is...”
“That’s right Luke, Valerie’s father is Umba. You know what’s funny, I know that you killed Sir Dan and he wouldn’t have even lifted a finger on you.”
Jack says.
Valerie looks surprised.
“You know why? Obviously, you don’t. I am sure he would have given you a lame reason like you are my student or something like that. So let me tell you, he didn’t lift a finger on you because he made a promise to Umba, he made a promise that he would always protect you. He made a promise that he will treat you like you are his own family. I was there! I saw it all! Not only was he kind enough to make that promise to a fucking killer, but he was also kind enough to give him a proper burial. THAT’S THE KIND OF PERSON SIR DAN IS! YOU UNDERSTAND!”
*Clap*
Tarand claps his hands between the two. It also attracts the crowd who seem to be distracted by Valerie and Jack’s verbal fight.
“Let’s begin the execution. After all, it’s already 12.”

Tarand smiles and lights the stake.
“BY THE WAY, YOUR HOLY FREEZING FLAME WON’T WORK ON THE DEVIL’S DEADLY FLAMES!”
Tarand looks at Luke who is getting ready to throw the Holy Freezing Flame.
“WHAT?!”
Luke looks confused.
“Are you really surprised? I mean isn’t it obvious that you people don’t know what is happening.”
Everyone looks confused.
“This ritual was meant to succeed. The stake will burn with the sacrifice of the cursed one. It will end one’s life and rise another one. The Princess will die today. That is the fate that was sealed!”
Tarand’s smile is evil.
Luke quickly pushes everyone, “NOT HAPPENIN-“
A huge amount of menacing aura is felt by everyone around Tarand. Even the crowd that is gathered there falls to the ground. Only a few people stand, that includes Flesty, Evan and Gracie.
“What the hell...Is this...Pressure?!”
Jack is sweating just by staying around Tarand.
“Did you really think you could defeat me, Luke?! You only won because I let you win the other day.”
Tarand smirks.
“STOP IT! DON’T LET ANYONE ELSE SUFFER! NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING I PROMISE!”
Kaileen screams.
“If that’s what you say, Princess.”
Tarand smirks and everyone starts breathing out heavily.
“NO!”
Luke screams.
“It’s alright Luke, I was here to accept this fate from the moment I was born.”
Kaileen smiles.
“NO! I will save you!”
Luke tries to get past the guards but both Gracie and Evan catch him and throw him back in the crowd. Devil’s Deadly Flames almost reaches Kaileen’s legs.
“DAMN IT!!!!”
*Swoosh*
“What the-“
An arrow hits the stake and begins to freeze the stake.
“HUH?! An arrow?!”
Kaileen looks surprised.

Jack looks confused as Valerie cuts down Kaileen from the top.
“Valerie?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
Tarand screams at Valerie.
“Just helping my friend.”
Valerie smiles.
“What?!”
Tarand looks shocked by the response.
“Where did that arrow come from though?!”
Luke looks confused.
“Where do you think it came from?!”
Carly and Salvian arrive along with Horrell behind Luke.
“Horrell?! I thought you went to escort Izumi and Elena to your brother’s place.”
Luke says.
“Of course I did escort them but you see, Sir Dan had other plans for us as well.”
Horrell says with a smile.
“WHAT?! DAN IS STILL ALIVE?!”
Tarand looks in shock.
“Who do you think could hit that arrow from a long distance of over 800 meters?”
Carly smirks.
All of his students smile.
“What?!”
Tarand looks confused.
“Tarand Rover, you are under arrest for messing with the ritual and the whole Church Of Fracia will be investigated for plotting with Bishop Tarand Rover to kill our young Princess!”
Salvian announces as he readies his sword to take on Tarand.

Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.

Each night, the wilderness outside of the city disappears and for five minutes the world trembles. Once the five minutes are up, the wilderness reappears, but it is always different from any previous' day wilderness. This means each day the city of Dal is surrounded by something new and exciting. Sometimes, the city of Dal finds itself on top of a snowy mountain, the next day in a foggy swamp, the next day after that on a tropical island, and so on. Inhabitants of Dal that go out into the wilderness are called adventurers. The further adventurers get from city of Dal, the rarer the loot they will find, but also the more treacherous their travels will become. Do not worry though, it is impossible to die in the wilderness. If your health reaches zero you will transported back to the city of Dal alive and well. Will Claire be able to figure out why she was transported into this world, and better yet, will she be able to escape it?
