We enter the Verdania Forest. It seems everyone is pretty hyped up to train. I already know this forest is quite a dangerous one but it is also good training for these guys. I wish I could train some of the other guys but I guess, I will be strengthening the resolve of the three guys here with me now. Let’s see if you guys can handle this forest.

“Sir Dan, where do we go from here?”

Brenna asks.

There is no response. Neither from Dan nor her other classmates.

“Wait! Where is everyone?! Why am I all alone?!”

Brenna looks confused and scared at the same time. She is trying to look around the forest but the forest is very silent with no one around her.

“Help...Me...”

Brenna hears a strange sound. It sounded like a woman whispering for help.

“What the fuck was that?!”

Brenna looks at the direction where the sound came from. Her body seems to be shivering from fear.

Brenna looks around the forest. Her skin begins to crawl from the sheer silence of the forest.

“Help...Me...”

The woman whispering continues to scare Brenna.

Brenna begins to slowly move towards that sound.

“I don’t like doing this but...If someone is seriously out there, injured, I need to help them.”

Brenna gulps in fear.

She reaches for the branches in front of and gets past it.

The moment Brenna reaches past the branches, her eyes widen from fear.

“Help...Me...”

There is a rotting woman with long blonde hair.

“No...Mum...No...I didn’t kill her...IT WASN’T MY FAULT!”

Brenna begins to have flashbacks.

“You...Why didn’t you...Save me...Why Brenna? Why?”

The woman whom Brenna claims to be her mother speaks in a dying and disappointed tone.

“I tried...I tried...I tried...I just couldn’t, I couldn’t...I just couldn’t-“

“YOU KILLED ME BRENNA! YOU THE DAUGHTER OF THAT MANWHORE! YOU KILLED ME!”

The woman screams right in Brenna’s face.

“KYAAAAAA!!!!”

Dan watches from the distance as Brenna screams.

Dan sighs, “I will just gather the materials while she tries to pass the trial of the Verdania Forest. If I see Sven and John on the way I will see how they are doing.”

“What the heck man! We got separated from the teacher as well as Brenna.”

John says as he looks around the forest with Sven.

“I know, I mean, Sir Dan was right ahead of us and Brenna was right behind us. I understand that Brenna would get lost in the forest but Sir Dan, he just disappeared in front of us and we didn’t even know why.”

Sven is trying to understand the situation.

“Yeah, I guess we just have to find them.”

John says as he looks around the forest.

“This wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t take your eyes off of Sir Dan.”

Sven says.

“Huh?! My eyes were always on him, you are the one who forgot Brenna was following us.”

John looks at Sven with his angry face.

“What are you saying? I didn’t think she would have gotten lost. I mean she isn’t a child.”

Sven says.

“So isn’t teacher. He is our goddamn teacher you know.”

John looks at Sven angrily.

“Don’t look at me that way. I am starting to get irritated.”

Sven says and adjusts his glasses.

“What way?! I am just looking at you like any normal person would.”

John says.

“Are you trying to mock me by saying that I make people angry?!”

Sven looks at John angrily.

“I never said that but if you want to take this out of context then yeah, I do feel like you’re making angry now.”

John looks at Sven angrily.

“HUH?! You have been looking at me angrily from the moment we entered this forest. So what do I make out of it? Have I done something wrong that made you angry?!”

Sven is angrily speaking with John.

“What do you mean?! Just looking at you makes you think I am getting angry?! Are you stupid or what?!”

John angrily steps forward at Sven.

“Oh, now you want to bully me?! Is that so?! Just so you know just because you are one of the strongest students of the class doesn’t mean that I am gonna stand here and take your shit, Cursed Child John!”

Sven steps forward.

*Smack*

John hits Sven in the face.

“DON’T YOU DARE CALL ME THAT!”

John screams at Sven.

Sven smirks as he covers his nose which bleeds.

“Oh, you are a cursed child, just like that Horrell and Elena and the Princess. You are cursed as well! Only because your parents and Elena’s parents and The King himself hasn’t come out with it, it doesn’t mean jack shit! You guys are cursed and that’s just how it is!”

*Swish*

John makes a quick move.

Sven adjusts his glass and draws his bow.

“GO ARTEMIS! FLAME HIM UP!”

John quickly notices a flaming arrow and turns right.

A flaming arrow goes past John’s left arm and leaves a bleeding cut on his left bicep.

“You seriously wanna do this?”

John looks angrily at Sven.

“You are the one who started this.”

Sven readies his bow to fight John.

Somewhere on a tree branch, Dan watches Sven and John go at each other.

“I see, that’s their trial huh? Brenna is facing the trial of the past and Sven and John are facing the trial of Children. Things are going to get interesting.”

Trial of the past comes from The Goddess Efra and if one completes her trials, they will have great resolve and confidence but if they fail her trial, their mind will be totally fucked for the rest of their life.

As for Trail of Children, it comes from the God Chaos himself. He loves causing Chaos even on small and childish things between two people. So if the two who got mixed up in this trial overcome that trial, the trust between the two will be unbreakable but if they fail, they will be enemies at each other’s throat for the rest of their life.

The reason Dan doesn’t need to face any trials is that he already has a great amount of resolve and trust in his comrades. So he doesn’t need to overcome them. The only ones who need to overcome these trials are the ones with the least trust and very little resolve.

“Now, show me, my students, what you are capable of. Show me if you can overcome the trials or are you going to fail and be a loser.”

Dan smirks.

“It’s now or never.”

Dan speaks with a smile.

“Oh right, while you guys do that, I will continue searching the ingredients.”
