“There are two problems, both are bad news, what do you want to hear first? The worst bad news or the good bad news?”

The way the Little Princess puts it...I sigh.

“Let’s start with the good bad news.”

I say.

“The good bad news is that Valerie has been missing since yesterday night. Apparently, someone called her up. She said it was regarding her family. I have tried contacting everyone and Jack has been asking everyone in the school too but no one knows about her.”

The Little Princess says to me.

I don’t understand how is that good bad news? What can be worse than this?

“The worst bad news is, my sacrificial ritual will be taking place in a week’s time.”

The Little Princess says.

I didn’t expect that...That really is pretty bad.

“I know since they burnt your mother at stake, they will do the same for you. What I want to know is what kind of fire they are going to use to burn you.”

I say.

“It’s going to be The Holy Immortal Fire.”

The Little Princess says.

“How do you know that?”

I ask The Little Princess.

“Father always said that pure sacrifices need The Holy Immortal Fire and to kill a witch one needs to use The Devil’s Deadly Fire.”

The Little Princess says.

The Holy Immortal Fire, I know it’s blue in color and even when it burns you to death, it will not hurt you. You will die without feeling any pain while the Devil’s Deadly Fire is a darker shade of blue, it also gives you 100x more pain than you normally would have from burns. Both the flames can’t normally be extinguished. It needs some materials to be used against them.

“I see...”

“The ritual is taking place the next Monday, right?”

I have to make sure that I have enough time to stop that ritual.

“To be exact, it’s Sunday since it’s a holiday for a lot of people then. To be exact, Sunday 12:00 AM, meaning Saturday night.”

The Little Princess really isn’t helping by taking one day off every time she says a day.

If it's Sunday 12 AM, I don’t have enough time...Tsch! I have to start my mission to rescue her today itself and even if I start it today, it is gonna be a huge gamble.

“You can help her, right?”

Luke asks me.

I smirk and reply, “Who do you think I am?”

“Of course, you are Sir Dan, you are the person who can make the impossible possible.”

Luke smiles.

What else could I say to those kids? Tsch!

The Little Princess pulls my shirt, “Can you...Seriously save me?” The Little Princess asks me. It seems she is ready for an answer.

“Do you trust me?”

I gotta do it...I have to save her. The face of sadness, that face of disappointment when she knows that I can’t save her. I can’t deal with the regret of it.

“I don’t. After the fake promises made by Sir Tarand, I don’t believe in anyone’s words. I will accept my faith if that’s how it ends but I don’t want any more false hopes.”

The Little Princess says.

“I am sure that Sir Dan can save you!”

Izumi stands behind me in the second row.

“You just have to believe in him!”

She is standing up for me.

“You have some good supporters. Luke was talking good about you, Izumi talks good about you, the red-eyed cursed girl speaks and thinks highly of you. You even got Luke and Elena on your side. The most surprising person was Sven, even when we were training with Tarand he spoke things like Sir Dan’s methods help me improve, this and that. I know you helped a lot of your students but I want to know personally from you, I want to hear your honest words. No bullshit that may give me even a sliver hope.”

The Little Princess seems to be lost...It’s almost as if she has lost all hope.

“You won't hear about what I think honestly, I think it will be a huge gamble to save you. You see, the materials needed to take down that fire which will burn you, it’s not going to be easy to find it.”

Luke tries to interrupt me, “Sir Dan-“

But I continue talking, “Even if I save you, the whole goddamn Kingdom will be on my ass. I don’t mind that though.”

“So you are telling me that my life is something you are willing to gamble with?”

The Little Princess asks me.

“If I can save you, then yes, I will gamble yours as well as my life with it.”

I say.

I draw a circle in front of everyone, “Contract magic: Life Contract!”

“As of now, I Dan ThunderField shall draw a contract with you. The contract will be until I save from the flames. If you die I die and if I die before you, you will get another life. Which means I will be that sacrifice.”

I smile.

The Little Princess falls behind on the floor.

“SIR DAN! WHY?! YOU SAID THAT-“

Luke seems to be really frustrated with my decision.

“You guys are all my students and for my students, I will even present my own life. That is how important each one of you is to me.”

I say as I walk to my table in the middle of the classroom.

It seems Izumi wanted to say something but I hear a sudden *THUMP!* on a desk.

“Oye teacher didn’t ya say that you were going to make me stronger than Luke?! I ain’t done with ya until I defeat that bastard, so I will find those materials with you. I don’t want to be sitting ducks here and watch the person who will train me to die.”

John says as he looks angry at me.

“That’s right, I will help you in any way possible to Sir Dan. You just tell me what you need me to do.”

Sven adjusts his glasses as he speaks.

“Are you guys crazy? It’s a teacher’s job to save their-“

“Shove your job up to your ass teacher, we are helping you and that’s that.”

John seems to be...Quite aggressive.

“Just tell us what needs to be done.”

Izumi says with a smile.

It seems like she already knew that this was coming.

I sigh.

“Just don’t push yourselves too hard.”

I say.

Luke looks at Kaileen who is in shock, “I told you didn’t I? If there is someone who will save you with their life online it would be Sir Dan.”

Luke gives a small smile and walks past Kaileen while thinking, “And Me too.”
