*Cough* *Cough* *Cough*
“That was a good one, Luke-“
*Swish*
No time was wasted and Luke charged right into Rook.
*Smack*
Luke slams his pole right onto Rook’s head but Rook managed to block that shot just in time.
“Let me talk first!”
*Smack*
Luke kicks Rook’s hand and takes a fall back.
*Swoosh*
Luke stops himself as Rook breaks his pole.
“Was that your only weapon?!” Rook gives Luke a scary look.
Luke sighs, “Do you seriously think that that’s my only weapon.” Luke creates another stick in his hand.
“WHAT?!” Rook seems to be surprised.

“Weapon creation magic, it’s one of the most important magic that a mage needs to learn to compensate for their weaknesses. They have to think up of the weapon that covers up their weakness and how they will fight using the specific weapon.” Darlion explains, “I do have to say though, it’s quite rare to see an apprentice class to use weapon creation magic. They first have to master their Tree and then figure out their weapons which means that Luke here has already mastered his Tree of Magic.” Darlion says.
XXXXXX
Darlion isn’t wrong and it is true that Luke has mastered his Tree since his whole Tree relies only on one magic spell but because I already knew about the Tree before I started training them, I already knew what kind of weapon is suited for each of them.
“Man, doesn’t that mean that he has already surpassed us?” Jack asks.
“Not really, every Tree has a different rate at which one can master them. Mastering a certain Tree doesn’t guarantee that one can surpass over the other but how you use the Tree does. Some Trees use raw power like yours and Elena’s while some use magic spells like Izumi’s, some use techniques like Luke’s and the others use support spells like Horrell’s. You see, they are all different in all aspects and it specifically doesn’t mean you have surpassed anyone even if you have learned all that. What it really means is that you know how to use the whole tree but you still have to learn about when to use it, what should be the correct time to use it, how will you use it during your combat, what kind of opponent is it weak against or what opponents are it superior against. That is the time when you will truly master a tree.” I explain as everyone seems to be glued to me. Even Carly, Old man Jake, Taani, big brother, everyone, even that old bastard headmaster...

“That’s a really good explanation, Dan, a real good one.” Darlion says to me as he looks at Tarand and his crew in the crowd.

“So you are a technique type of mage huh? Doesn’t that mean that you don’t have many spells?” Rook smirks.
Luke points his pole towards Rook, “I can take you down even without any spells.” Luke says in a serious voice.
“Whatever-“
*Smack*
“GUH! When...Did...You...Get...Here...?!”
It was all in slow motion but in reality, Luke just went too fast for anyone to keep up with.
XXXXXX
“WHAT HAPPENED?! LUKE IS STILL STANDING WHERE HE IS BUT HE HIT THAT GUY?!!!!”
Elena seems to be totally bamboozled.
“I saw him but...He was just so fast that I couldn’t even move but I could see his movements.” Izumi says.
That just now...That wasn’t anything I taught Luke, what exactly was that?!
“Sir Dan, I believe you are shocked too, right?” Jack asks me.
I look back towards Jack, “What you saw was Luke going in the future for a few seconds.”
My eyes widen, going into the future? Is that even possible?!
“Luke’s magic Tree, Luke found it strange that when he went invisible he could see everyone else but no one can see him and he also said that the air he breathed felt quite different when he was invisible due to which he has to come back out of his invisibility in about 5 seconds. At first, everyone thought it was an illusion but when Luke was sparring with me, he tested a theory. Luke then was right, Luke’s Tree of Sun Wukong wasn’t making him invisible or anything of that sort. The only spell that Sun Wukong left was the ability to see the future for a few seconds and change it. Even if it’s just for a few seconds, Luke can basically bend the future to his will.” Jack says.
I never knew...Sun Wukong’s power was something so powerful...No wonder Luke looked confident enough to fight this fight. He might be the strongest one out of us all if that’s how things really are.

*Smack* *Smack* *Smack*
Luke is pushing back Rook with his newfound powers. The powers are so overwhelming that even Rook, the user of the Tree of Atlas which is considered to be one of the most powerful Magic Trees can’t keep up with it.
“Let’s end this.” Luke says as he keeps moving forward and pushing back Rook.”
XXXXXX
NO! NO! NO! NO! I can’t lose like this! I can’t lose to this fucking bastard! I CAN’T LOSE TO HIM! I have to do something! I have to do something! Something to prevent me from losing...Something!
XXXXXX
A smirk appears from a person sitting in the crowd, “Rise evil, take the form that boy and rise again for our first god is about to be formed, if the boy gives in to his despair, his fear, the evil god chaos, Chaos himself will arise but if he doesn’t give in than everyone will be spared from destruction for another day. What is it going to be boy? Are you going to give birth to the evil god Chaos? Or are you going to maintain your humanity? What will it be?
XXXXXX
Mother father...Everyone...I...I can’t lose in front of them...For I am...For I am...I am truly the one who is worthy of the name Inach, he doesn’t deserve it! Not a coward like him! I CAN’T LOSE TO HIM!
“Then how about we kill him?”
Who?! Who is that?! I hear somebody but who is it?!
“Tell me, do you want to defeat that boy no matter what?”
...
Who are you?! Why are you inside my mind?!
“You don’t need to know that. You just need to answer me, do you want to defeat the boy and be safe from the humiliation of being defeated from a weakling like him? Or do you want to suffer humiliation?”
XXXXXX
There seems to be some kind of silence here, Luke has stopped attacking. I don’t exactly know why but...There seems to be some kinda problem.
“Sir Dan...I don’t feel like this match should drag on and Luke said he will end it but why isn’t he ending it?” Izumi asks me.
“I don’t know myself...” I look at Luke.
“What’s wrong Luke?” I ask.
“Something is wrong with Rook...” Luke quickly answers me.
“I can see black smoke coming out of his body.” Luke says as he points towards Rook.
Black smoke? Is Luke using Mana Sight?!
XXXXXX
Mana sight, it’s a spell high-level mages use. It is used to determine possession and such things. Since mages tend to get possessed by soul magic, Mana sight is really a useful magic spell to learn for high-level mages.
XXXXXX
“MANA SIGHT!”
I quickly enter Mana Sight mode, my vision gets all white and the humans I see turn blue since our body is mostly made of water but to my surprise...
There was definitely something wrong with Rook and, “WATCH OUT LUKE! HE IS COMING TOWARDS YOU!”
*Swish*
The crowd erupts in shock as Rook pins down Luke.
“WHAT?!”
*Smash*
“It’s time to kill.”

Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!
