“W-What just happened?!” It was clear who the winner was with the expression that Rachel was giving.

Her heart was beating at a high rate, her eyes were filled with fear and she couldn’t move whatsoever. It was almost as if someone was holding her down to the ground. Almost as if her legs were stuck to the ground.

“I give up...” Rachel raises her hand and says.

“I think you definitely overdid this, Izumi.” Horrell says.

The referee points his hand towards Izumi and Horrell.

“Yeah, I know. I mean everyone does underestimate my five students.” I say with a smile.

Pears smile and raises his hand, “Hmm? What is he doing, Sir Dan?” Elena asks.

“I don’t know myself either...” It does seem like he is...

“I and my team give up.” Pears says with a smile.

“HUH?! Where is my glory moment?!” While everyone is surprised by Pears's decision, Elena is frustrated that she didn’t get to fight.

“There, there, you will get your moment.” I sooth Elena’s hair as she smiles and wants me to do it even more.

It’s almost as if she is a dog...

“Is that the famous headpat?!” Luke definitely has the wrong idea.

“The Winner, Class 1-A Team 2 Of The Wise and Learning.” The referee shows his hand towards us.

To my surprise, we didn’t need to go to the 3rd round.

“Dan ThunderField, right?” Pears asks.

“Yeah, that’s me.” I say as I point towards myself.

“I am going to warn you about Tarand, he isn’t a normal guy.” Pears says.

“You know about Tarand?” I ask.

“I do, if you want to know more about him, you can meet me in my team’s locker room.” Pears says.

“Understood...”

Pears knows about Tarand...This might be a good chance to know about the opponent I might face in the next round.

I and my team have gathered in our locker room, “That was the most boring winning that we had!” Elena says.

Elena is not happy whatsoever.

“You guys did well!” Big brother and Big Sis Brake, Shirogane is also here along with Carly, Taani and old man Jake.

It’s a huge crowd that has gathered here inside the locker room.

There are all here to congratulate us our victory but I will need to leave soon, I have to listen to what the King has to say plus that case about Tarand too.

I get up in the middle of everything that’s going on, “I need to go take care of some stuff. You guys enjoy yourselves.” I say as I begin to make my way out of the room.

“Hey, Dan!” Carly calls for me.

“Can I come with you?” Carly asks me.

“Sure, I don’t mind.” I say.

Carly follows me out of the door, “Horrell, go with big brother and go to sleep, it might take me some time, you too Shirogane. Please be sure to take Izumi home too, since she is asleep. I won’t be home until it’s quite late at night.” I say to everyone.

I close the door to our locker room.

I walk down the corridor that leads to Glowing Academy’s locker room.

“Dan, you weren’t able to concentrate on your matches for the last two days. What’s the matter?” Carly asks me.

There wasn’t any hint of the sort that would give away my frustration at watching how my class has developed since I was away. Other than my five students all the others just seem to be deadly killing machines.

“It’s nothing, what makes you say that?” I ask. I don’t want her to worry and I know how to put on a poker face.

Carly angrily pouts at me.

“You know, you are bad at hiding things!” Carly says.

Actually, I am the best at hiding things...

“I can always catch you when you aren’t in a good mood. It’s always been like that. You are always the type of person to lead your team from the front but in the last two days, I have only seen you make bad decisions. I mean I am glad that Izumi is leading your team because if you were to lead your team, you wouldn’t have made it this far.” Carly says.

“I didn’t make any decisions.” I raise my hand.

“WRONG! Today, you were ready to fight the teacher of that other academy. It’s almost as if you didn’t trust your students! Secondly, you hesitated yesterday when you had to stop one of your students! Was it because she was your student or was it because you were afraid that your students would start hating you?” Carly has gotten close to my face as she is scolding me.

“Dan...I know you’re worried about something and I can see it through your actions. I know that you spent the night with those two girls from your class.” Carly gives me a sharp glare.

I am dead...

Carly sighs, “Those two were also probably worried about you too. They don’t show it but they care for you too...Just like I do.” Carly says.

There were two other people listening at each side of the end of the hallway. On one side was Horrell and on the other was Izumi.

Carly bumps her fist on my forehead, “You know it’s alright if you want to hide things from me and not make me worry but please don’t do that. I don’t want you to take all of the burdens you have all by yourself. I want to be the part of the burden that you carry with yourself just like you have carried my burden since we were kids because you are the person I love.”

*Smooch*

“Eh?!”

Suddenly Carly kisses me on my cheek, “Before you say why I did that, I just felt like doing that.” Carly chuckles.

I smile, “Yeah...I am sorry for making you worry.” I say.

“That’s my guy!” Carly says with a smile.

Her smile is kinda pretty cute...It’s also pretty uplifting.

“Now, you slept with your students, Dan, for that how should I punish you?” Now that’s a smile I don’t find cute and I definitely don’t wanna mess with!

“STOP! I HAVE AN EXPLAINATION!”

“I don’t need any explanation.” Carly smirks, “In fact, I declare myself as your main girl and no one can take that position from you and by no one I mean no one.” Carly is looking behind her.

Izumi who was at the corner side behind Carly felt chills down her spine.

“I think so I will just have to be satisfied with the number 2 spot whenever I propose Sir Dan.” Izumi slowly walks away with sweat all over her face.
