Glowing Academy, they are the ones we are fighting. Other then our class, the other half of our class and the class that Flesty has control over, Glowing Academy was the only one who made it out of the golem rounds unscratched.

They have been the rival academy of our academy for a long time. They always go neck to neck with our academy and I am guessing this festival they are going to do the same.

They have a total of 12 students participating with their teacher. So, they already have a numbers advantage but for us, it’s quality, not quantity that matters.

“The King has drawn the cards! This will be a double team match, meaning two versus two. You have to knock two opponents out of the bounds or at least one opponent within 10 minutes to win.” The referee announces.

Izumi is our leader, so she will decide who goes when plus this is a two on two. That means we have to end it within 3 rounds to conserve stamina.

“Teach, you sit back and enjoy. We will win without you.” Jack says with a smile.

“What?!”

The words Jack just said hit me by surprise. I mean...Why? Why would I sit out on doubles?! One of you guys will be exhausted to fight the two on two if the round drags on to the 3rd and even worse if it drags on to the 4th it will be an even bigger problem...

“You’re worrying too much, Mister Handsome.” Elena says with a smile.

There seems to be no tension between my students. They seem to be more confident than me...

*Tap*

Luke bumps his back fist in my chest, “You taught us how to fight. So have a little trust in your own abilities. Plus, we all know you are still injured so...We can’t afford you to waste your energy on this fight.” Luke says as he moves forward.

“Jack and I will go first!” Luke says as he moves towards the stadium.

“Both of you better win!” Izumi says.

“You betcha!”

Jack and Luke are the ones in the middle of the stadium while two students from Glowing Academy stand in front of them.

There is a girl whose eyes are covered with a black strap and there is a boy who has a baseball bat. The boy has kinda a funkilicious look to him while the girl seems to be the silent type with long straight black hair.

“Let's get them, Myne." The girl says.

"Understood, Jenna." The boy nods but something was strange about the way he said that.

Both of them seem to be an interesting pair. Jenna is the girl and Myne is the guy.

“Are both the side ready?!” The referee raises his right arm.

Luke takes a deep breath, “Hey Jack, this is the first time we have ever teamed up, right?” Luke asks Jack as he keeps a calm demeanor.

“Yeah, this is the first of many to come.” Jack says as he readies himself to engage.

Both teams don’t know what each other’s weaknesses are. The first round for us didn’t need anyone’s magic and our team didn’t use magic in any of the rounds.

“We have studied their team but this is a totally different pair than the first round they had.” Izumi says.

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“I just studied their team after the first round that’s all and these two are different pairing than the ones they had in the first round.” Izumi says.

“When did you have time for that?”

Izumi couldn’t tell Dan that she couldn’t sleep all night and that is the reason why she studied Glowing Academy’s team all night.

“BEGIN!” The referee has signaled for the match to begin.

*Swish*

Everyone gets stunned by the quick rush that Myne presented as he leaped towards Luke, “What the-“

*Swing*

Myne swings his bat towards Luke’s face.

*Swish*

Luke’s face was ready to be bashed by the bat but Myne hits nothing but air.

“Time for my magic to work-“

Suddenly, Luke trips onto something, “WOH! WOH! WOH! WOH! HELP HERE!”

“LUKE!”

Luke falls onto the ground.

*Swing*

Jack takes a wild swing at Myne but he suddenly...Flies back?

“What the hell?!”

Jack seems to be totally confused about what is happening.

“You okay buddy?” Jack asks Luke as he gives him a hand.

“Yeah, bud but...That was strange. I felt like I tripped on some kinda wire.” Luke says.

“Yeah, something is definitely strange about them.” Jack says.

“He’s coming again!” Jack says.

*Swish*

Myne rushes in again.

Luke uses his illusion magic again but this time, he goes towards the opposite direction.

*Tap*

“Gotcha!”

As soon as, Luke takes a step towards that direction Myne changes his own direction and swings his baseball bat.

*Swing*

“What the-“

*Bash*

The baseball bat clashes with Jack’s hand as Jack protects Luke from Myne’s attack. The baseball bat breaks.

Myne flies back and closes his eyes. He creates another baseball bat.

“Oh boy...He is using weapon creation huh.” Luke says.

“Hey Luke, you do the thinking and figure a way out the trick. I will protect you as much as I can.” Jack says.

Luke nods, “Understood.”

“Owo...Uwi...Boop!”

I look at Izumi who seems to be sleeping as she stands.

“Izumi, you okay?” I ask Izumi.

“Oh! I am fine! I am not sleeping! I am awake!”

What’s with her reaction?! It’s like...She hasn’t had sleep all night.

Whatever the case be I hope...She will be ready for the match.

I look back at the ring and realize something. That girl...She is the trick to this match. I already have figured out the trick but...It has to be them who have to figure out what is going on because, in a real battle, I won’t always be there to help them. They have to be the ones who have to figure it out on their own.
