Carly and I are visiting the new-made City thanks to some help from Fracia and Gracie. It seems everything is back to normal in the city.

We brought back the crops to normal and also helped out the vendors to set up their shops again. We lend out the merchants some of the goods and the trading is back to normal.

The city seems to be doing quite good now but mostly, it's been Carly who has been helping out everyone in the city.

“Thank you for buying!” It seems that Carly is buying some flowers. I think so I will buy something too. I think so something to eat for both of us.

I walk with Carly again. I don’t know where she is taking me but it seems like she doesn’t want me to leave.

I give Carly a packet of sausage.

“Not yet, Dan.” She says to me and denies the sausage that I gave her.

What does she mean by not yet?

We keep on walking.

“Carly...I am sorry.” I say.

“Hmm?” Carly seems to be confused.

“I just left you know...Without any reasoning or anything of that sort.” I say.

“You had to help your brother...Right?” Carly asks with a sad smile.

“Not really...I haven’t been of any help to my brother in the past four years. All I have been doing is slacking off.” I say.

“You are working as a teacher now though, aren’t you?” Carly asks with a sad smile.

“Yeah...I am...But...If I lose this battle royale, I have a feeling that I will lose my students forever...” I say.

*Thump*

Carly bumps her fist towards my chest, “The Dan I know is someone who would never lose no matter what happens.” Carly says with a smile.

I think...Those words hit my heart pretty hard, “Thank you...” I say.

Carly seems to be surprised, “I-It’s not a big problem.” Carly says as she looks away.

“Let’s keep on moving.” Carly seems to be flustered.

We keep on walking.

There is a strange tension in the air. It’s all awkward. I don’t know what to say to break this tension. It’s been like this for the past few weeks.

Neither Carly nor I are able to talk normally. That’s why I was surprised when she asked me to come out with her.

After a long two hours of walking, we finally reached our destination. It was the cemetery.

“A cemetery?” This confused me the most. Why are we at the cemetery?

Carly walks into the cemetery. I follow her.

Carly puts down some flowers in front of a gravestone. I read the words written on the gravestone, ‘A loving mother, wife and a brave soldier till the end, Jill Jilheard’. I see...It’s her mother’s death anniversary today...

Carly seems to be praying to her mother. It wasn’t late till I realized the tears gushing down Carly’s cheeks.

*Pat*

I soothe Carly’s head. She opens her eyes for a few seconds and then closes them again. I guess she realized that it was me.

About 5 minutes later,

Carly gets back up and smiles at me, “Thanks for coming along, Dan.” She says to me.

I smile, “You know I will always be there when you need to me.” I say with a smile.

“Okay, let’s have something to eat!” Carly says with a huge smile.

Carly’s mother wasn’t killed in a war. She was killed by someone within the King’s court. Don’t worry Carly, someday, not today but someday...I will definitely find the person who killed your mother and bring her justice. That’s a promise I make to you plus...I have to protect that smile of hers.

“Dan...Can I ask you one more thing?” Carly asks. She seems to be upset.

“Who was that crush you spoke of? I mean, did you two meet or did you two get together or something like that? Like are you two a thing-“

*Chop*

“WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!” Carly screams at me as I chop her on her head.

“You are an idiot if you think that I will ever like some other girl except you and even if I did, you will always be my main girl.” I say as I look at the city from the mountainside and blush.

“Eh?” Carly’s face gets all red.

“W-W-W-What are you saying?! What do you mean by the main girl?! What do you mean by-“

I bump my head into Carly’s and pull her close to me, “I couldn’t say it four years ago but...I will definitely say it now. I...Love...You...”

Carly’s eyes widen, her face is all red and her breathe is pretty heavy and hot. Even our eyes are connected to each other.

“Is that...So...?” Carly looks to be quite embarrassed...It’s kinda cute. I don’t want to leave her...

“Do you...Love me?” I ask. I am kinda scared. I mean, what if she rejects me?

A silent breeze flows by a very calm yet sunny day which was followed by my first kiss...It wasn’t any kinda lip lock or anything weird a very normal yet a very cute kiss that was initiated by Carly herself.

After that kiss, I still held her close to me. Her breathing was hot and the smell of fragrance from her body was also quite good. This is the first time, I ever saw her cute side or more like I should say it's the first time she is being cute instead of being a bossy lady like she normally is.

Carly smiles as she keeps a finger on her lips and pushes me slightly away, “I think so that answers your question, Mister Dan ThunderField.” Carly says with a smile, “Also...That was my first kiss.” Carly says as she looks to be quite happy. Quite happy that even her smile is so damn cute. What's with me? Am I losing it or am I really looking at an angel in front of me?

“It was my first one too...” I say as I look away.

Carly chuckles, “I am glad...”

I smile, “Same here.”

Well...Yeah, I feel blessed that she is my girlfriend now but...
