“HUUUH?!!! You are going to train us in that condition?! You need to rest for at least 3 to 4 days.” Horrell says to me as we eat on the table.
“I am pretty sure I am fine except for my eye part.” I say pointing at myself.
My left eye was bandaged after the end of the battle.
“You heard her Dan. I guess I am training your kids.” Carly seems to be getting quite happy.
“You yourself haven’t recovered too Miss Carly. I am still healing your internal organs.” Horrell says looking at Carly.
“Pffft!!!” Jack seems to be laughing. It’s making me laugh too.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO LAUGHING FOR?!!!”
*Bang*
*Bang*
I guess I ain’t making her angry...
“Anyways, Sir Dan is right, we need to train. It’s going to be tough without Sir Dan since he has always guided us.” Luke says.
Izumi nods, “This is going to be something that we need to come through ourselves.” Izumi says.
“How about I train you, kids?” Fracia suggests.
“Don’t you need to go back to the court, King Fracia?” Izumi asks.
“I do need to go back but I think I will stay here a little longer. So, Evan, I want you to look after the court for me when I will be here.” Fracia says.
Evan nods, “Understood my lord!” Evan bows.
“Dismissed!” Fracia dismisses Evan.
Evan leaves quickly.
“Tell me Fracia, do you know what Tree each of my students is learning from?” I ask Fracia.
“I know that you have three of your students learning from an Eastern Tree of Gods otherwise I know all of their Trees, I think.” Fracia says.
“Gracie, I want you to teach Horrell and Elena. She is learning from the Tree of Freya and Elena is learning from the Tree of Fafnir.” I say.
“Huh?! Me?! Why?!” Gracie seems to be flustering.
“I think you know why.” I give an evil smirk as I look at Gracie sweating.
“U-U-U-Understood!” Gracie says.
“Fracia, you help Jack as you have been since you have a basic understanding of what his Tree his...Most probably.” I say.

“That Most probably hurts...”
“What about us two?” Luke asks as he points at himself but he also means Izumi.
“You two will be under my guidance.” I say.
“Wait, you haven’t recovered-“
“I never said I was going to fight. I am just going to watch.” I say as I smirk.
“I don’t think you have a problem with that?” I ask Horrell.
Horrell shakes her head, “You can watch.”
“What about me?” Carly asks as she points at herself.
I smile.
Carly smiles.
“You...”
Carly nods with a smile.
“I have a perfect role for you.”
Carly nods with a smile.
“You are resting.” I say with a smile.
Carly keeps on a smile.
“Say that again.” Carly says with a smile.
“You are resting.” I say with a smile.
*Bang*
“WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!” I question Carly who punched my head.
“HMPH!” Carly looks away.
“Huh?!”

We finally got to training.
I was guiding Izumi and Luke since I was the most familiar with their Tree.
For the first week I didn’t do anything but after that, I begin to teach them. I taught Izumi some spells and Luke some techniques to use with his spell.

“Izumi listen up, I want you to learn to use swords.” I say as I look at Izumi who was practicing to control her flames.
She can control her flames but there are times when her flames go out of control and for that...
“A sword...That sounds interesting.” Izumi says.
“Luke, I want you to use a pole to fight.” I say.
“A pole?! What kinda weapon is that?” Luke questions.
I take a deep breath, “CONJURE POLE!”
A create a golden-colored long pole. There isn’t any shiny or flashy about it, it’s quite a simple weapon yet a deadly one.
“So...What should I do with that?” Luke asks.
I spin around the pole and extend it from near Luke’s face. I smirk, “This is what a pole can do. It all depends upon the imagination of the conjurer.” I say.

“Wait...When you said sword, you mean we have to be the ones to conjure weapons?!” Izumi asks.
“Yeah, of course, you people have to learn to conjure weapons. It’s one of the most important things that a mage needs to learn to do. Imagine you being a long-range mage, you can’t fight close range. You need a weapon to fight close range or imagine you are handed a weapon and that weapon breaks, what are you gonna do? There are different circumstances where conjuring magic is very important and for conjuring something, imagination is very important. The feel of that weapon is very important. You have to think of the components you need in that weapon to fight the person. You have to think about the structure you will create for that weapon. You will need to think about whether the weapon should be a lethal one or not. Everything while conjuring a weapon is quite important.” I say.
Both Izumi and Luke look towards each other.
“Of course that doesn’t mean a real weapon isn’t good. Overall, a real weapon’s quality depends on the engineer. That’s all while a conjured weapon doesn’t have a quality, its durability, strength and such things are taken from your mana.” I explain.
“I see...” Luke seems to be getting somewhere while Izumi seems to be confused.
“Sir Dan...I am totally lost.” Izumi says.
I look down disappointed at myself.
I walk towards Izumi and grab her arm, “Imagine, imagine for a weapon that needs to be in your hand. You need a sword so imagine your sword. What type of sword do you need? Imagine that.” I say as I take a deep breath.
*Puff*
There is a mini toy dagger in her hand...I am just going to pretend I didn’t see that.
I look towards Luke. He seems to be quite focused.
I look at the pole appearing in Luke’s hand, it’s a blue pole but it’s kinda different from mine. It’s thicker than mine I should say.
Luke opens his eyes, “Tsch! It’s too thick!” Luke says as he looks at he’s pole.
*Pat*
I pat look on he’s back, “Keep it up!” I say.
Luke smiles, “Understood!” Luke says with a smile.
“You too Izumi, focus on what you want to do.” I say.
Izumi nods.
Luke...The reason he could do this was because since the beginning if there is anyone who has followed all of my instructions...It’s him and Horrell. He can focus and keep going while others will take time to grow out. Luke and Horrell will outshine them and that’s...What I don’t want. I want every single person to grow equally. I don’t want anyone to be jealous of each other. I want everyone to grow in their own way for that is truly the way of training someone...Isn’t that right, Master?
That is the reason why you only had me as your student, didn’t you? I understand...Why you always only trained me and never trained Carly in front of me because you knew...I would be jealous of her powers but...I think if I showed Izumi the fruit of Luke’s training, it’s just going to inspire her even more.
I smile, “Izumi...I believe in you. You can do it.” I say with a smile. Izumi looks at me with a surprised reaction.
“Understood!” Izumi says as she readies herself again.
I look at her.
This time surely...She will succeed...

It’s been almost a month that I spent in this village. Only three days remain for the festival to begin. I take a deep breath. The King already left yesterday for the preparations for the festival.
“Oye Dan, you free today?” Carly asks me.
“Yeah, I believe that everyone is resting since we are leaving tomorrow.” I say.
“I see...You mind coming with me...For today?” Carly seems to be smiling.
“Yeah, sure...” I wonder what it is.

My Pixie Familiar
Pixies are real. Not only are they real, but are considered pests due to their mischievous nature and love of pranks. Some people think they are magical and making a potion or powder from their wings will transfer that magic to a person. Any good alchemist will tell you that is not true. Most will gladly take your money and make you a "magic potion" though. My name is Jase Fisher and I thought I would follow in the steps of my mother and become an alchemist since I didn't enjoy fishing, hunting, or any of the other trades offered in Beau Ferry, my village. Not only have I been looking forward to being an alchemist, I was looking forward to bonding with a familiar. My biggest fear is not bonding with one of the exciting familiars such as a dragonet. If I can just make it through the bonding process, my life is set. Oh, and not run afoul of any pixie pranks.

All resources were exhausted, and hope was all lost. When three-player chess that will decide the lives of billions of people was at its zenith, a portal appeared in the sky. Monsters, bigger than the biggest animal, harder than the hardest metal poured out of the abyss... Putting aside their differences, humanity united to fight against their common enemy. But the weapons were ineffective. The most powerful weapons of science could not do even the slightest bit of damage to monsters. While desperation reigned, science prevailed, and laser weapons were born. The first blood was spilled... The first monster was killed! However, it wasn't laser weapons that allowed humanity to win the war, but a piece of orb found in the monster's brain. When supplied with electricity, the orbs would turn into pre-determined objects. These orbs turned into weapons that could damage monsters, and the more monsters were killed, the more weapons were found. With the newly looted weapons and the determination of humanity to get rid of this disease, the monsters were pushed back. At that moment, a messenger flew from the portal in his radiant form. An Artificial Intelligence produced by the native race living in the Portal World... Called Mother AI by humans, this object used the miracles of the alien world to help humanity close the portal. With these miracles, humans awakened superpowers to fight against monsters. An unfortunate teenager, Miles Cross, was born with dormant Ancient Genes and failed to awaken his superpower. Instead, he used every means to get stronger...
